Hillgrove Hotel is the most beautiful hotel for a wedding. We got married on the 27th September 2025. From the moment we met Dean the wedding co-ordinator we knew we wanted to book the Hillgrove. Dean was born to do that job and helped us out in so many way. He is amazing at what he does. Two ladies on reception are both lovely women and always so helpful. The manager over the food at wedding she was top class also. So had so many compliments on the food and the service. Amazing hotel and beautiful ceremony room and reception room. Dean again thank you so much for making our day amazing.

We had our wedding here on 18th September 2025, and it was truly the most perfect day from start to finish! The venue itself is stunning, but what made it so exceptional was the incredible team behind it.

Our wedding coordinator, Dean, was absolutely out of this world — he was truly made for this job. From the moment we met him, his warmth, professionalism, and passion for what he does shone through. He made us feel completely at ease throughout the whole process, handled every detail flawlessly, and went above and beyond to make sure our day ran perfectly. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he did it all with a smile and a calm confidence that made us feel we were in the best possible hands. We honestly couldn’t have wished for anyone better — Dean is a true credit to the venue and to his profession.

A special thank you also to Liz, who was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and always there when we needed her.

Every member of staff went above and beyond, and so many of our guests commented on how seamless and relaxed everything felt. We’ll be forever grateful for the unforgettable memories they helped us create. ❤️

Kayla and I just wanted to leave a review after our wedding on Saturday. As a young couple, we sometimes felt people looking at us like, “Why are you getting married so young? You’ve got plenty of time.” But for us, the time was right, and the Hillgrove staff made us feel so happy, confident, and comfortable from start to finish. Nothing was ever a problem for them—absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The service was honestly next level, and everyone was amazing at their jobs.
We’d especially love to mention three people who made it their mission to look after us: Dean, Liz, and Molly. They were incredible, always making sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. On top of that, the bar staff, waiters, and waitresses were fantastic too—every single member of staff was just brilliant. The food was out of this world, and they made sure there was more than enough for everyone.
I won’t go on too much, but I honestly think the Hillgrove is an amazing wedding venue. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a place. If you do, make sure to have a chat with Dean—he’s outstanding at his job. He’s calm, collected, and always on top of everything, making sure your day is exactly how you want it.

We had our wedding at the Hillgrove and honestly, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. From start to finish everything was seamless. The staff went above and beyond for us and our guests- nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel well cared for. Especially Liz, she was amazing at helping to distract and entertain our daughter while getting photos.
The food was absolutely incredible, with so many guests still talking about how delicious it was (especially the soup, it's to die for)!!
The hotel itself was beautiful, but it was the warmth and professionalism of the team that really made our day so special. Every detail thought of and it meant we could just relax and enjoy ourselves knowing everything was in safe hands.
Also, a special mention to Dean the wedding coordinator. He was absolutely fantastic from the very first day we went for a wedding show around right up to the big day. He was always approachable, organised and calm, which really helped put us at ease. His attention to detail and reassuring presence made everything run smoothly and we genuinely couldn't do it without him.

After several viewings of different hotels for our big day we were soo overwhelmed by it all, after which we visited the Hillgrove and was given the most detailed and informative viewing of the venue, we booked our day on that viewing as we knew we were in safe hands with Dean.
I can’t explain how good Dean was in the complete planning of our wedding day to make it our fairytale come trough! I was constantly calling with changes ext and nothing was ever an issue for him, he was always glad to help! He recommended some suppliers and they were also absolutely amazing, and they both worked together to come up with different magical ideas to make the wedding a bit different and I’ll never forget them for this, we loved it! Choosing the Hillgrove for our venue was one of our best decisions, they took all the stress away, I would highly recommend the Hillgrove and Dean, he was literally like our very own wedding planner!! What can I say about the Hillgrove Hotel and Dean Coyne!! From the first time we met Dean he was absolutely brilliant. He was a wealth of knowledge and couldn't do enough for us. No question was a bother to him. From the day we booked our wedding with him he was all over it letting us know what we needed to do at each step along the way. On our wedding day he was very attentive, calm and also extremely organised.

ive being married before so having a big wedding wasnt my idea it was my husbands, i have dealth with hotels and wedding planners before, i thought i knew what to expect, i was wrong, dean was the reason i tell my husband everyday that he was right about the big wedding, we decided to go and stay in the hotel the wednesday and stay until the sunday after our wedding which was the friday, from the minute we got there dean was over to us helping us with everything, we have 5 kids so this was hectic, dean put us at ease took our bags, entertained and got our children involved and put us at ease so much, he had a whole agenda ready based on information he had gathered from us from the date we booked the wedding, every tiny detail was covered no matter how small or big they were, dean even fixed my trail so my walk down the aisle showed my dress in all its glory, which is a talent in itself as he did this so discretly it wasnt noticed on photos or videos, he literally went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect, when he was leaving that evening he came to us and let us know and told us excatly who to go to if we had any issues, which we didnt as dean had everything perfect, the next day he was there making sure everything was perfect for us, he arranged space so we could have our own music last minute and was just amazing every way possible, having had wedding planners before i can tell you that dean is not your average wedding planner, he is devoted to ensuring that your day is complete perfection and even though he have 4 weddings the week of ours, we were made feel that we were absolutly his priority at all time, all of our family and friends commented on how amazing the day was and i can whole heartly say this was because of how amazing dean is at his job, i will forver be grateful to him and the team for making my wedding day the day of my dreams

We had the absolute pleasure of having Dean as our wedding coordinator at the Hillgrove Hotel on August 8th, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. From the very beginning, Dean made us feel like we were the most special couple ever to get married at the hotel. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he took all the stress out of the planning and the day itself. His warm personality, attention to detail, and genuine care made everything so easy and enjoyable for us.

The hotel itself was fantastic, great value, with food that was absolutely delicious. Guests were even offered second servings, which went down an absolute treat and really showed the generosity and thoughtfulness of the hotel.

Dean went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, and our guests are still talking about how brilliant he was. A highlight of the evening was the entertainment he provided with “Heads or Tails” – it was such great craic and brought so much laughter to the room. Dean truly made our wedding unforgettable, and we’ll always be grateful to Dean for making ur day so special.

We had our full wedding day at the Hillgrove Hotel and it was nothing short of incredible. Dean and his amazing team went above and beyond, with no job ever too big or too small. From the beautifully decorated ceremony to the outstanding food and service, everything was flawless.

Dean handled every little bump in the road with such professionalism and discretion that we never had to worry about a thing. He even recommended and organised our band and DJ, who were absolutely outstanding. A month later we are still receiving compliments about the service, about Dean himself, and about the band.

As a coordinator, Dean is second to none, a truly amazing person who genuinely cares. With three young kids, it meant the world to us that they were included and made to feel part of the day from start to finish. The team were so accommodating, and the warmth and care they showed our family will never be forgotten.

The Ballroom is simply beautiful, the atmosphere speaks for itself, and the price was not only unbeatable but also very conscientious, offering real value without compromise on quality. Dean is a real credit to the Hillgrove, and the entire team that surrounds him is equally outstanding.

We are just over a month married and we had the best day in the Hillgrove Hotel. From the food to the service we couldn't fault it. From the day we met Dean nothing was a problem for him. He was the main reason we went with the hotel. He guided us through the process so seamlessly. People are still talking about the beautiful food.

We got married at the hill grove hotel. Dean was an absolute dream to deal with when booking the wedding. He made everything go as smooth and less stressful as you want. also on the build up very helpful, quick responses etc. Would defo recommend this as your venue. Mention for Breda as well, absolutely unreal couldn’t do enough on the day for us so good at their jobs.

I can honestly say we made the best decision in choosing the Hillgrove Hotel for our wedding on the 27th of June this year, from our first meeting with Dean it was a no brainer to book our day. The wedding packages Dean has in place are amazing they take so much stress away from the day. From booking two years ago anytime I had a question Dean was always available to answer and help when needed. On the day we had the pleasure of having Liz look after us, she was amazing with everyone, Our day was the most special day every member of staff were amazing to deal with. Dean and every member of staff go above and beyond we had the best day of our lives.

From the moment we met Dean everything felt right. His professional approach in our first meeting sealed the deal for me really. He told us everything the hillgrove could do for us, handed me an A4 piece of paper full of questions and said if you can answer yes to all these then that place is your venue. He didn’t try force the hillgrove on us and with that everything he offered us shone through on the day and not one thing over promised.

The hillgrove and Dean cover so much in preparing for your wedding the whole journey to our wedding was such a chill experience. Any concern, query or change i had for Dean was either met with a yes or a suggestion but never a No. He knows his industry too well to not listen to his advice.


Fast forward to the day, it was a wash out the rain never stopped not once we didn’t let this effect our day and Dean thrived off making sure everything still ran smoothly for us and it did! He worked tirelessly on the day constantly checking in on us that everything was ok. The support he then has from the team around him to back everything up, honestly our day couldn’t have been better.

The food was amazing, especially the roulade! The staff were friendly, attentive, professional and part of the party. The day just flowed and we’ll never forget it.

When we went to view the hillgrove and met Dean, myself and Shea knew straight away that this was the wedding venue for us. From the get go Dean was absolutley amazing and anything we asked was never an issue. Dean provided us with a list full of suppliers and breakdown of everything which just made everything flow alot easier. A lot of ones stress with sorting a wedding venue but with Dean as wedding coordinator that was never a case for us.

Communication with Dean was excellent- nothing ever was too much trouble and any queries i had (there was quite a few!) where quickly responded too. I felt i could always email Dean even if my questions sounded silly.

There is simply not enough i can say to put into words how truly amazing Dean was on the day of our wedding- from taking off my veil and sorting my dress to providing me with the flipflops for the dance floor! Deans positive energy but us both at ease on the day of our wedding. If there was anything we needed Dean sorted.

Dean is an absolute credit to the hotel and those getting married in the hillgrove will be in the best hands possible.

What an unbelievable wedding that we where extremely lucky to have. Dean and the team saved our wedding day. Our venue had cancelled 2 months prior to our big day and Dean stepped in and saved it. Not only that but the lead up to our big day and the day itself went without any issues. The food on the day was amazing so many of our guests have complimented it and no one was left hungry - so thank you to the chef and their team. Everything went so smoothly and we still are getting such lovely comments from our guests. Dean and the team had everything planned and sorted so well right down to helping me get my runners on lol. Words cannot express how grateful and how happy we are. We weren't fortunate enough to thank all the staff there but we are so grateful for all that yous done for us. Couldn’t fault Dean one bit. An absolute pleasure to deal with and put us at ease the whole way through. Never thought planning a wedding could be so smooth. Everything was sorted for us and the day couldn’t have gone any better. Couldn’t recommend the Hillgrove Hotel enough. Food, service, facilities, the lot were to a high standard and we got amazing feedback from our guests.

We couldn't praise Dean, Liz and the rest of the staff at the Hillgrove any more if we tried - their help, input, ideas etc throughout the whole build-up, and the day itself were way beyond what we could've hoped for. We celebrated our wedding reception at the Hillgrove Hotel & Spa on the 26th of April, and I still can’t find the words that do justice to how truly magical the day was. From the moment we arrived, it felt as though the entire hotel had been wrapped up just for us — every smile, every detail, every thoughtful touch made us feel so loved and cared for.

The food was simply out of this world. We knew it would be good, but it completely surpassed all expectations. Every dish was served hot, bursting with flavour, and in such generous portions that not only did everyone have seconds — I’m pretty sure a few guests had thirds! It’s one of the most common compliments we’ve heard since the wedding.

The staff… I have never experienced service quite like it. They were attentive in a way that made you feel like you were the only people in the world who mattered that day. Quietly topping up glasses, checking in without ever intruding, noticing the little things before we even had to ask — it was perfection.

And then there’s Dean, the wedding coordinator — what an absolute gem of a person. Dean, you were born for this job. You brought such calm, reassurance, and warmth to the whole planning process. It wasn’t just professional — it was personal the service you provided. I was still messaging you with table plan changes 15 minutes before we arrived at the reception, and you just took it all in your stride with a smile and a thumbs up reply on WhatsApp lol. We asked you to play a video before we entered our reception, again this was a ‘no biggie’ moment. Your patience, organisation, and kindness didn’t just make our day run smoothly — they made it stress-free and joyful. You are a godsend, and we will always be grateful for you.

To everyone at the Hillgrove — thank you from the very bottom of our hearts. You didn’t just host our wedding; you became part of it. You created an atmosphere of love, joy, and celebration that we and our guests will never forget. Got married at Hillgrove hotel on 13th March and honestly don't even no where to start, all the staff from the first look where amazing. Dean was just perfect always there when I needed a question answered no matter how silly I thought it was he always got back to us asap. Dean is just incredable and such a credit to the Hillgrove. He made our wedding day go so smoothly without any hiccups, even when my veil broke he took it off and fixed it straight away. Dean and his team are first class and would highly recommend anyone looking to get married to have a look here first, the hotel is gorgeous but the staff are even better, can't wait to return.

Dean and all the staff in the Hillgrove are the best in the business. They made everything so easy that I would get married here every day.
Dean is a superstar at what he does. When I first looked at the hotel with my mum as a potential venue for our wedding, Dean said, all you need to do is dress yourselves and organise the hen and stags and that’s exactly all we had to do, Dean had everything else covered.
In the lead up to the wedding, all the vendors were in touch with me and I had everyone’s numbers and there was no stress whatsoever with any of the vendors. If I had a question, Dean would answer it straight away.
Breda looked after all the rooms and had everyone sorted for everything and because our wedding was a week after a big storm anyone travelling from Galway with no power could check into the hotel early and get ready there before our ceremony. There was no extra for this and not was something that they didn’t have to do but they did it for us and for our guests.
The evening before the wedding, we left everything down with Dean who looked after all and who made us feel so welcoming and to all our guests who arrived the day before.
On the day of the wedding itself, the amount of compliments we got about how lovely the staff were, how professional everything was and how good it was all ran. The food was exceptional and we even had the fussy aunts compliment us on the food. Dean oversaw all of this with Liz who really were two friends to Noel and I by the end of the night.
The drinks reception ran smoothly into the dinner reception, into the speeches and into the band and DJ. It really was the best day of our lives and Dean made that happen for us so seamlessly. I even asked Dean for something off menu as my starter about an hour before dinner and that was no problem!
Honestly, if someone is thinking of the Hillgrove for their wedding, you won’t get any better. People are still complimenting us on such a good wedding and how well ran it was. Dean, Breda and Liz are a credit to the Hillgrove and are part of the reason it is so well organised.

We had the most amazing day! Weddings can provide alot of nerves and stress however when working with Deane all that seemed to disappear. He made sure everything was covered and also was able to give us loads of other food for thought and his thinking skills outside the box were second to none. He made the day go so well and we cannot thank him enough. From our first day viewing the venue, we left instantly knowing this was the one..The reason being..Deane! I honestly couldnt believe how organised this man was and anyone i have spoken to about the wedding, i have always mentioned how simple Deane made everything. A total pleasure!

Dean was an absolute pleasure to deal with from the day we booked our wedding right up until the end of our wedding. He was professional, helpful and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Our wedding experience was so easy and relaxed all thanks to Dean, nothing was too much trouble. Absolutely delighted we chose the hillgrove for our wedding we just wish we could do it all over again.

We booked our venue back in 2021, and from the very beginning, Dean made our wedding planning journey stress-free and unforgettable. Whether it was replying to our WhatsApp messages, emails, or phone calls, Dean was like our personal assistant, always quick to offer support and guidance. He provided creative ideas to make our wedding unique and special for our guests.

We did experience some family drama during the planning process, which had us feeling overwhelmed and losing sight of the joy of wedding planning. Dean reassured us by explaining that many couples face similar challenges with family dynamics, which really helped put us at ease and reminded us that we weren’t alone in navigating those tricky situations.

Dean took care of everything for us—organizing our photographer, florist, wedding cake, and DJ—so we literally had nothing to worry about. The hotel provided so much decor that all we had to do was focus on getting dressed and organizing our register, which Dean had thoughtfully recommended.

A highlight for us was our menu tasting a few months before the wedding. Dean was kind enough to allow us to bring our parents along, as we’re both only children and wanted them to be as involved as possible during the planning.

Our wedding was during Storm Darragh. We had rented an Airbnb to get ready in the morning since we’re from Dublin and didn’t want the stress of traveling on the wedding day. However, we woke up to find that there was no water or power. Panic set in, and we called Dean at 7:30 a.m. He immediately reassured us not to worry and promised he’d be at the hotel in 20 minutes to get everything sorted. By 8:00 a.m., he had already found us a room at the Hillgrove where we could shower and get ready. He was there to help us move our things and get settled in, making sure we were comfortable.

Dean even arranged for breakfast at 9:00 a.m. so we wouldn’t go hungry. By 10:00 a.m., we realized we hadn’t contacted our suppliers to let them know we’d moved to the hotel. Once again, I started to panic—but Dean had already taken care of everything. He’d called the photographer, videographer, and florist to make sure they knew where we were, so we didn’t need to worry about a thing.

On the day of the wedding, every single one of our guests was blown away by how beautiful the hotel was, especially the food and the service.

Dean’s professionalism and attention to detail are second to none. His extensive experience in wedding planning is evident in how he anticipates needs and takes care of things before you even realize they need to be done. He helped me think of things I hadn’t even considered, and it was clear that he genuinely loves his job—and he’s fantastic at it.

He even handled last-minute table changes with such ease, never making it an issue and reassuring me that it was no problem at all. I truly believe our wedding day was perfect because of Dean and his incredible team.

We’re so grateful for everything he did to make our day unforgettable. If you want a wedding experience where everything runs smoothly, with no stress and plenty of thoughtful support, Dean is the one you want by your side.

The team work extremely hard to make your day perfect and I really have a sadness that our interactions are complete, we really feel they are friends at this point.

The packages are extensive, suiting all budgets and they are happy to adjust things to suit.

The food was wow! Our guests loved it all, especially the Vol-au-vent!

The bar staff are friendly and fun and enjoyed interacting with the guests, always smiling and seemed to enjoy themselves just as much as our guests.

The reception room is stunning! I fell in love instantly and they give you lots of options and extras that you would normally have to outsource such as candy cart etc.

The team are the highlight for me a massive thank you to Dean the wedding coordinator and Liz both catered to our every need. And also Evelyn who tended the top table all day. Exceptional!

The bridal suite was beautiful and the champagne breakfast in bed the morning after was amazing. We can honestly say we don't think we would have enjoyed the wedding planning half as much if we didn't have Dean as our wedding coordinator. He made the whole process easy, fun and enjoyable. He is an absolute joy to work with.There was nothing too big or too small for him if we asked he done it for us. We cannot thank Dean and the staff at The Hillgrove enough for all you have done for us to make our day the best day of our lives.

How can I even put into words how amazing the service we got from Dean and the team at the Hillgrove hotel?! We got married last Saturday and everything from the moment we went in to view was just top quality and we were made feel so special. Nothing was too much to ask for and Dean and his team went out of their way to help out in every way they could. The amount of compliments we got about everything was insane. I don’t know where to begin.

November 2022, 1st venue we went to see. We arranged to meet Dean for a wedding show around and a chat. Afterwards we went into the bar for some lunch before our drive back to Dublin. I sat in the seat for no longer than 2 mins, and was straight back up and out to find Dean to pay our deposit to secure our date.
From the moment we arrived at the hotel, we were welcomed with a great feeling. Dean himself is by far one of the nicest people we have ever met.
The whole 2 years of planning was so straight forward as Dean was able to assist with everything. Any question, response same day, any issue resolved within the day.

Our day itself was more than what we could’ve imagined. It ran absolutely smoothly. The staff were absolutely amazing and a special shout out to Liz, when Dean was finished for the day she stepped in!

We celebrated from the Thursday - Sunday, and family and friends are still saying the food the whole weekend was absolutely unbelievable.

If I could go back and do it all again I would.

The Hillgrove hotel was an excellent venue for our wedding, couldn’t have been better, went off without an hitch. Our guests had complimented the food being the best they’d had at a wedding. The responsiveness of the staff for ensuring all our guests had rooms prior to the wedding was a great help. Dean our wedding co-ordinator ran it all and was brilliant, there wasn’t a detail he didnt overlook and had everything covered from the off. He was a big reason for us selecting Hillgrove as a venue, and he didn’t disappoint. Would highly recommend, 5 star service and a great price for a brilliant venue.

When choosing our hotel it was important for us to choose a venue with a good local reputation and not just going by online reviews. Anytime I spoke to anyone who had been a guest at a Hillgrove wedding, they spoke so highly of it. With lots of guest travelling from overseas and throughout Ireland we also wanted somewhere with lots of rooms that were also affordable. The Hillgrove is also a great location for anyone commuting from Dublin/Belfast.
So we booked our look around appointment with Dean and as soon as we met him we knew we were in good hands. He was so flexible and accommodating, also providing excellent suggestions from wealth of experience that paid off hugely own the day of the wedding. His suggestion of the table photo dash challenge really set the tone for the day and our guests loved it! The day really felt unique to us and so personalised. It was always so easy to call or email Dean with questions and queries and he was always happy to take them.
The vendors supplied for the all inclusive package are top quality as this was something I was worried about but when I seen the list I was pleasantly surprised to see it was people I already followed online and had wanted.
The food was perfect on the day, everything was served efficiently. It was all fresh, tasty and hot, and not in short supply. Again something the guests commented on and were very happy with. The same goes for the reception drinks, not only does the area look fantastic, everyone was delighted with the variety of drinks and fresh scones and shortbread. We opted to go for hot canpes which didn’t last too long and again were a real hit with our guests.
The reservations manager Breda was also amazing to deal with and really appreciated all her help. The rest of the wedding team on the day were a great help and the bar staff and waiters and waitresses were all so professional and friendly.
The hotel is also a fantastic venue for photo opportunities and we are so excited to see all the stunning shots from the day.
Everything looked so beautiful in the Van Gogh suite and set up so beautifully with the candelabras and centre pieces and beautiful silk flower arrangements. All of which are provided by the hotel and one less thing for the bride and groom to worry about.
For us, The Hillgrove wedding team strived to make our day the best it can be, with personalised touches but also tried to make it as stress free us. We would do the whole day the same again and would highly recommend Dean and his team!

From our first meeting with Dean at the Hillgrove we were sold on having our wedding there. He was so warm, professional and extemely helpful and made our entire journey completely stress free! He answered texts at all hours due to arranging our wedding from overseas and nothing was ever too much trouble! My husband and I got married in the hillgrove hotel on the 13th of September and we had the best day and night, dean and Liz go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met and I couldn't fault one thing, thank you to help giving us the best day that we will never forget. We had our wedding reception in the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan. The Hillgrove was the first hotel we viewed, the feeling we got and the information from Dean that day was first class, we soon realised as we viewed others, nowhere else came close.

During the months of planning, and the lead up to the wedding our wedding coordinator; Dean Coyne was amazing! Anything we asked for was not a bother, and all my emails/questions however big or small were answered quickly and clearly which is a delight to the organised bride to be that I was.

On the day of our wedding, the ballroom and entrance were set up perfectly, all our wee personal touches were carefully set up by the team and the food on arrival was highly praised by our guests. The dinner itself was absolutely amazing, the portions were huge and the taste was amazing!

When we met with Dean and he showed us around the Hillgrove we knew that we had found our venue.
Dean could answer all of our questions, and when we explained that we had a child with ASD he put us at ease about having our wedding in the Hillgrove.
A lovely little touch was the pre wedding tasting. The dining room was set up like a mini wedding for us and the other couples. We got to sample the meals we chose for our wedding. It was a great evening.
Our wedding day was perfect. Dean reassured us that he would be with us every step of the way. The ceremony room, reception area and ballroom were all decorated beautifully. The decor, candy cart, crisp wall were all provided by the Hillgrove. All our guests were blown away by the food, they still talk about how good their meal was. Many of our guests stayed in the hotel and were also very impressed by the food in the bar.
We availed of the sensory room the night before the wedding. It is fantastic! All our children loved it. We would highly recommend it for any couples who have children. The Hillgrove host so many weddings every week but Dean and his team were still able to make us feel special. A big thank you to Liz who was very friendly and was our point of contact when Dean was getting married himself.

Dean our wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I had to email to see if I could bring certain things for children certain foods to be cooked etc, no problem. I could not recommend the hillgrove enough for a wedding! From the very first day we met with Dean we knew we were in good hands. He could not of done enough for us and anything we asked for or needed he was able to do, nothing was ever a bother. Every little detail was done to absolute perfect. Honestly I couldn’t recommend the hillgrove enough!
From we walked through those doors too view the hotel we knew it was our dream place to bring all our friends and family to celebrate our marriage! We had our whole day including the ceremony which was an absolute dream, the team to work with from start to finish was amazing. The day wouldn’t have been the day we dreamed of without Dean and his crew.

We cannot fault the Hillgrove Hotel at all. We were originally aiming for a country house type wedding venue but we called by the Hillgrove hotel out of curiosity on the way to another viewing as we had a little time to spare. We walked out of our meeting with Dean knowing it was the one. From the moment we saw the rooms made up and had a conversation with Dean, we knew this was the one and that our wedding would be in the best hands.

The amount of decor that comes included as standard blew us and all our guests away. The single piece of decor I needed to add was a small arrangement for the signing the register table as I wanted a memory candle ritual as part of our ceremony. Everything else came provided and was so beautifully presented on the day. We had an incredible amount of compliments on the banquet and drinks reception rooms, but especially the ceremony room. It was stunning.

We also never came across another venue that was such good value for money! We were so pleasantly surprised at the cost of the meal and ceremony and what we got with the package compared to every other venue we visited.

And then came along Dean, who made the whole decision a no-brainer for us. Dean and his team were incredible in every possible way. No task was too big or too last minute for them to handle easily & professionally. Before we even left our initial meeting to just scope out the venue, Dean provided us with a checklist of information to ensure we ask other venues while wedding planning to make sure nothing would get missed during our special day. He told us that no matter who we went with for a venue, to make sure they answered all the questions and that we were satisfied with their answers. For us, this showed us that he was not just trying to sell his venue to us, but that he cared more about making sure our day would be perfect, no matter where we got married. We knew immediately our wedding would be in safe hands.

The entire day went so flawlessly. Our guests were full of nothing but compliments for the whole team. They made everyone feel so welcomed and had everything running like clockwork. We even had compliments on efficiently and professionally the meal was served and how organised the teams were in change overs from dinner to evening.

I cannot recommend the Hillgrove Hotel enough to anyone planning a wedding.

We are truthfully struggling to find the words to best reflect our experience of having our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel. I suppose 3 things made our decision for us ie the location ( we were clear that we wanted to accommodate the majority of our guests) with me coming from Ballygawley & my Fiancé coming from Armagh. The second thing was the amazing reception room, I was totally blown away by it. Lastly, Dean, the wedding coordinator, who is absolutely fantastic. We both knew we were in good hands when we met Dean & how right we were. From the moment we confirmed our date Dean became our go to man. The level of communication was second to none. Dean guided us through every step & made the whole process run so smoothly. I sent him numerous emails, with queries that had popped into my head & nothing was a problem to him. I recall arriving to our menu tasting night quite stressed, due to a situation that had developed. Dean’s words to us that evening were “ We don’t do stress, let me sort that”, within a few minutes he had us both at ease. He has no idea how much that meant to us. In the few weeks prior to our wedding the emails from Dean were more frequent & he arranged a final meeting to finalise our details. He thinks of every little detail & the final result was our fabulous wedding day. We had such a very special day, the memories of which we will cherish forever. The pre reception set up, the food - which was exceptional, the accommodation, the bridal suite, the fantastic team of staff who worked tirelessly & the overall cleanliness, we cannot fault any of it. The feedback from our guests, which we are still receiving, is testimony to the how our wedding at the Hillgrove was received. As a more mature couple, with the majority of our guests being over 50, we were keen to ensure that our wedding was tasteful & memorable to both ourselves & our guests. The Hillgrove, Dean, Liz & their team absolutely nailed it for us. If anyone reading this review is planning their wedding, we would very strongly recommend that you arrange to see the Hillgrove. They will help you have the most amazing day of your life.

We had an absolutely amazing day, it was just perfect for us from start to finish. The attention to detail and feeling like royalty for the day. Dean was just brilliant at his job from the early days responding to texts or emails, rearranging tasting menus etc. The package deal is just great with all the best suppliers to choose from when planning your big day. Very little you have to do because it's all done for you so takes the stress away. I highly recommend choosing Hillgrove Monaghan if you want good value for money, the best wedding coordinator who is with you every step of the way, a stunning set up. If I could do it all again I would change nothing because it was just perfect.

Dean is the reason we decided to have our wedding in the Hillgrove. I’m from Monaghan so was always aware they served good food but from our first meeting with Dean, I knew it was the place for us. His no nonsense, flexible and humorous approach made the planning process so easy for us. When we had issues with our chosen cake maker, he went out on a limb to get a resolution for us. He made us laugh and at ease the day of our wedding and the morning after. Dean, you are unreal at what you do, the offering you’ve created along with the team who hosted us. We’ve received so many compliments of how good our reception was from the staff being such good craic to the abundance of food offered. We’re delighted we had our wedding in the Hillgrove and got to experience your magic!

Fantastic venue and professional and well trained staff. Excellent menu and above all, exceptional support from our wedding co-ordinator Dean Coyne. The hillgrove were so accommodating for our wedding day and pulled out all the stops. Our previous wedding venue had to cancel and Dean was fantastic in rearranging venues and functions to help us celebrate our day in the hillgrove. All the staff were so friendly and helpful on the day.
Dean arranged all for our wedding day after one meeting and it was fantastic, from the reception when we got in with so much choice of drinks and nibbles and everyone commented how lovely it was presented and tasted. From the moment we met Dean we knew we were in the best hands possible. From the get go Dean was so enthusiastic, helpful and professional. The packages that were on offer were phenomenal, something to suit everyone. We were given a list of suppliers so we were not short of choices.
From the moment we secured the date, Dean took care of everything with our chosen suppliers which eased so much of our stress. Several times throughout the wedding planning it felt like it was too easy and stress free, I kept feeling like I was forgetting something but that was simply due to Dean having everything under control and taking that stress away so we could focus on other things for the wedding.
In terms of communication Dean was fantastic. Nothing was ever too much trouble. He kept in touch constantly throughout the wedding planning process and all emails were quickly responded to. We always felt we could email at any time even if the questions felt 'silly?.
There's simply not enough I can say to put into words how truly amazing Dean was on the day of the wedding. He thought of absolutely everything. His positive energy put both of us at ease on the day and we felt completely taken care of. He was always close by if there was anything we needed on the day and on the day after the wedding.
We can honestly say we don't think we would have enjoyed the wedding planning process half as much if we didn't have Dean as our wedding coordinator. The Hillgrove hotel was the best place to have our reception, from start to finish everything was perfect. Dean the wedding coordinator was hands on from the minute we booked our date. Nothing was a problem and was quick at getting back to us if we had any enquires.
On the day of the wedding everything was perfect and Dean was always around when we needed something he was just fantastic.
The staff were just amazing and all work well as a team. Evelyn was great at looking after the top table also.
The food was also unbelievable we still have people talking about the duck starter!

What can I say, from the minute we went to view the Hillgrove, we fell in love with it. The hotel and the room itself was everything we wanted and more. The room is decorated to perfection. The services that I received at the Hillgrove make this the easiest review I have ever written.

The Hillgrove was the 3rd place I went to see as a possible wedding venue. But the minute I met with Dean I just knew that it was going to be the place I was getting married. From the very first email to set up an appointment to look at the venue I received top class service. I had an appointment made for the following week. During the appointment Dean took great time to explain to us at length what the Hillgrove had to offer and also listened to us and answered all our questions. We were shown the Ballroom and drinks reception area all set up and the various different choices that we had in both areas. There was absolutely no pressure put on us at any time to book, in fact we were given a list of questions to ask all venues we look at to ensure we don't forget anything, to me this felt like a case of Dean saying " If you chooses us great, but if you don't I want to ensure you still get the best day" That spoke volumes.

After booking The Hillgrove for the wedding reception communication remained 100% at all times. I was in contact and met with Dean on a couple of occasions where i was able to discuss what i wanted to personalise about the day including table settings and centre pieces. Dean took time with me to set up the centre pieces in various ways incorporating both their items and my own until I find the combination that I wanted. He went above any beyond what I expected. Dean took time to talk me through my wedding and offer me suggestions or give me ideas when I was unsure. He advised me ways to do things that were financially better.

The food tasting night was just amazing - it was set up like a little wedding and was just so beautifully done. The food we had chosen to taste was served and we got to try some of the other options when we were not fully decided what we wanted. It was ensured that we were completely happy with the menu choices we had made before we left the hotel on tasting night.

In relation to room bookings, Breda was fantastic and in contact and was also able to answer questions and solve some of the room issues for us that came up due to people not booking, she worked wonders.

My wedding day was the best day ever from the moment I arrived. Dean arranged for me to be allowed drive into the hotel Foyer even though it wasn't raining as i wanted to get a picture. We were met with champagne and brought to see the room all set up prior to our guests. It was even better that was expected and left me very emotional. Dean and his crew had gone above and beyond. Dean checked in to see that everything was as we wanted and was willing if necessary to do anything needed, but everything was perfect.

The service provided from the moment I arrived was second to none. Everything went just perfectly. The food was absolutely amazing and everyone was and still is talking about how fabulous the food was. The servers both at the top table and the other tables were fabulous young people that were extremely polite and smiling and very helpful.

Liz who looked after us for the evening was constantly checking in to make sure we were ok and everyone was ok. She was extremely helpful and cheerful and just a pleasure to have around us.

I would more that recommend the Hillgrove for a wedding venue, I would go as far as to encourage people to go check it out because you will be blown away with the service you receive.

Again, I want to mention Dean, He is second to none as a co-ordinator. He is fantastic at what he does and he does it all with such professionalism. His experience in wedding planning is evident in how his thought process in the organising of my wedding was ahead of mine and he helped me think of things i hadn't. It is obvious that he loves his job and he is fantastic at it. He dealt with my last minute table changes and never made an issue of it, in fact re-assured me it wasn't an issue. I 100% believe it was the day it was because of him and his team.

We stayed an extra night in the Hillgrove and it was organised that we could stay in the Bridal suite and not have to change. Dean checked in with us the day after the wedding to see how it all went and again on the morning we were checking out. I could not ask for anything better. I have absolutely no changes I would make to my day.

I genuinely would not have changed one thing about our day. We were the most laid back couple throughout the whole process, and maybe towards the big started to worry about little things. However, Dean to the rescue, Dean is a god send, he was reassuring and took away any stress. Nothing was a problem for him, he has genuinely thought of everything, he has a solution for any problem that you might come across even if you haven't thought about it yet. The food of the day was amazing also, hats off to the chefs, our guests are still talking about it. And the service was second to none, and in a time were hospitality is struggling this is such a credit to the establishment.

From the minute we entered the Hillgrove Hotel our minds were made up. We had found the perfect venue for our big day. We had an initial meeting with Dean and he completely put us at ease. What resonated with us about Dean was that nothing was ever a problem. No matter how complex the issue or question we posed, we were always greeted with a smile and his inevitable response, "No problem! It's your day, just you tell us what you want and we will make it happen."
Well I can tell you one thing, they did!! It was a magical day from start to finish. Everything ran like clockwork, and it's all down to Dean and his team. His professionalism was off the charts. The service and friendliness from all the staff was exceptional.

Where do we even begin with Dean and everyone in the Hillgrove Hotel - when we got engaged we were told to look at the Hillgrove by 4 different couples - so we decided to make an appointment with the Hillgrove - within the first 30 minutes of meeting with Dean we knew we would be in great hands the whole way through. Dean was full of knowledge and advice to help us plan the perfect day. The menu tasting was out of this world and knew our guests wouldn't go hungry. The week of the wedding Dean relaxed us so much by having everything looked after so much so all we had to do was turn up. Our wedding day arrived, in the morning we were both a bag of nerves but we relaxed the minute we arrived to the Hillgrove and seen Dean & his team at the red carpet. The drinks reception was fab and catered for everyone even non-alcoholic options for guests who didn't drink. The dinner was perfect up until Main courses when my auntie took a turn at the end of the meal - Dean, Liz, Grace & Michael were there to assist my aunt within seconds. Unfortunately my auntie didn't survive the turn. Our wedding didn't continue after main courses but the love, care and support we received from the Hillgrove was out of this world and even as of last week Dean sent an email to check in on us all. Andrew the general manager and Erin even turned up as a mark of respect to her funeral with flowers. The Hillgrove team offered us a 2 night stay in their sister property in Kerry as a little getaway for us when we were ready after the funeral. This hotel went beyond their duties to show their help and support for every member of our family and we will be forever grateful to them. Thank you so much for Dean, Liz, Grace, Michael, Chris, Andrew and each and everyone of your staff members.

We got married on the 4th of August 2023 after pushing out our wedding out by a year! Dean was absolutely brilliant from the word go! He never stressed and made everything seem possible! There was absolutely no hassle with anything and he was such a great help to us. His ideas and creative mind made our reception even more special with his added touches of Prosecco wall and flutes of cocktails etc. We couldn't have asked for more on the run up to our wedding and the wedding day went perfect with no glitches at all thanks to Dean and all the staff at the Hillgrove.

I honestly can't fault the Hilgrove. Planning your wedding can be a very stressful time as you just want everything to be perfect. Well, I can most definatly say that I instantly fell in love with the Hillgrove's wedding venue. The spacious ball room is out of this world. The food is also mouth watering. They offer you a full 3 course meal tasting which is a fantastic idea as it allows you to choose what you would like to eat on the day of your wedding.

The Hillgrove Hotel was the perfect reception venue for our Big Day in July. We loved everything from our private arrival at the venue as newly weds to our Day 2 celebrations the following day. The venue was beautifully decorated and everything from our table plan display to putting out our wedding favours was organised perfectly. Our guests also had a wonderful time and are still raving about the drinks reception which was plentiful and varied for both food and complimentary drinks. They were also massively impressed by the quality and quantity of food served both during the main meal and late night snacks. Many guest commented that it was the best wedding meal they had ever had. The waiting staff and management were all incredible and looked after everyone so well. Our many overnight guests also loved the accomodation and leisure centre, many opting for a morning after swim before our Day 2 kicked off. They were all treated so well and had such a great time we had double the number we expected for our Day 2 celebration. This again was dealt with brilliantly and the management team were quick to organise more food to be added to our original order. Dean is a gentleman and was utterly brilliant as our co-ordinator. We knew from the first conversation we had with him, that our wedding reception would be in excellent hands. Dean's experience in wedding planning was evident as he was always one step ahead and answered questions or had suggestions and ideas before we even thought of them ourselves. We planned our wedding from abroad and he was incredibly flexible and quick to respond by email. Nothing was too much trouble and he was so professional and kind throughout. Last minute hiccups on our end were dealt with quickly and calmly and he had a solution for everything. Dean made planning and organising our reception very easy and stress free and we are very grateful for all of his efforts.

The BEST!! We couldn't recommend the Hillgrove enough as a wedding venue! Dean was absolutely brilliant from the first day we met, he couldn't do enough to help and made planning our big day a joy and stress-free experience. As soon as we met with Dean and he took us a tour of the Hillgrove we knew this was the perfect location for our wedding. The room itself is beautiful and the drinks reception has lots of room for a large number of guests but can also be condensed to suit smaller numbers. Dean was absolutely amazing, we genuinely couldn't have asked for better. Nothing was ever a problem for Dean and no matter when we asked a question, he responded positively and quickly. We couldn't have asked for a better Wedding day and Dean and his team at the Hillgrove played a massive part in this.

We couldn't of asked for more. Our first day viewing the venue we had to wait around about an hour due to the previous couple being late, im so glad we didnt leave Dean was so apologetic and couldn't have done more for us giving us extra rooms to make up for the wait. The service from Dean, Rebecca & other staff was exceptional. The food was a solid 10/10 ive never had gravy like it. We used the all inclusive package and it took so much stress out of it all. The venue helped us sort band, flowers, makeup, music and everything. The photographer they reccomended has our albums out a few weeks after the wedding no messing. Between the venue, staff and food it was stunning. The reception food and drink was the best selection ive ever seen at a wedding basically no one had to buy a drink before going into the wedding room. Nothing was an issue anything awkward wasn't a problem. I literally recommend the Hillgrove to everyone and to top it off it was very reasonably priced you couldn't ask for more.

There isnt enough words I can say to describe the experience We had with The Hillgrove Hotel. We had our dated booked and four months before our wedding we had to postpone due to covid. This was the most easiest transfer to do with the help of Dean. Dean was so helpful with calling me back and replying to my emails to comfirm dates which We had in mind.

Dean was there when we checked in the day before and made sure everything was ok and anything we asked extra this was made happen by Dean and the most amazing team at the Hillgrove. The Day before we asked Dean was there anyway we could have our Ceremony outside and only with a few hours notice he made this very possible which was magical for Us.

Since my husband and I first enquired about having our wedding at the Hillgrove Hotel a year prior to the date of the wedding we were introduced to Dean the wedding Co ordinator, Dean had the answer to everything we wanted to know. From day 1 we knew we had made the right choice to have our wedding here and Dean as our co-ordinator. Everything was so relaxed in the run up to the wedding, Dean was always at the other end of the phone for answering any questions, menu tasting was fantastic and so well organised also. The packages at the hillgrove are great, and something to suit everyone's budget. Overall our wedding day couldn't have went any better and that's all thanks to Dean and the staff in the hotel each and everyone of them were great and went the extra mile for us. We had our wedding reception in the Hillgrove Hotel on the 22.04.23 and we went for the All inclusive I Do package it was the most magical day of our lives. We worked along side Dean, who was our wedding co-ordinator. I can't praise Dean enough for all that he done for us he perfected every last detail and he is an absolute dream to work with. Dean was always at the other end of the phone if we ever needed anything day or night he is truly a massive credit to the Hillgrove and we will miss working with him until our next party. The decor in the hillgrove was set up so exquisitely everyone was commenting on how gorgeous the food was and how beautiful all of the little details were. We could not recommend the Hillgrove enough for everything that they done for us, all of the staff was absolutely amazing and not forgetting Liz who took over later on in the evening what a lady she is, she was so attentive and had everything under control with her friendly, bubbly and calming attitude...Myself and my husband would like to thank yous all so much for everything yous are a great bunch of people and run an absolutly outstanding hotel.

Dean our Wedding Co-Ordinator was excellent from start to finish nothing was a problem, he was very flexible and had a great calming personality. Sharon from Sales was the one who made us fall in love with the Hillgrove from our inital meeting. The food was beautiful, there was more than enough so noone was hungry. The head of food & bev (we can't remember her name) was brilliant also as well as all the waiting staff. Aside from the Wedding itself we did have a few check-in issues but everything was sorted by Dean in the end up. We had a day 2 at the Hillgrove. It was great, we had a reserved area and food for our day 2 guests and the music in the bar was an added bonus.

Dean is nothing less than amazing, anything we needed he was there to help, would love to do it all over again!

Myself and my wife got married in the Hillgrove Hotel on St Patrick's day. Dean, our wedding coordinator was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and a pleasure to deal with. We had our wedding on NYE 22, from the moment we booked the hillgrove everything was plain sailing they looked after all the details - Breda in accommodation, our vendors which they recommended which were brilliant and food tasting was also a lovely experience. Dean our co ordinator was brilliant he was always so responsive, accommodating and friendly in all our encounters and always on the other end of the phone when we needed him. The week and the day of the wedding was no different - all our guests raved about the drinks reception which was more than we could have anticipated, the food, ballroom and overall service we couldn't have asked for any more. The next day our guests relaxed in the reception and enjoyed some food until late afternoon. The hotel is so family friendly and nothing was an issue. Firstly the venue was excellent upon first viewing. We instantly knew the Hill Grove was the only location for our wedding. Dean the in house planner made us instantly feel comfortable and offered the perfect advice in a very professional manner. Absolutely everything we asked for was catered for in one way or another. I really cannot pick any faults in the Hill Grove including the planning, the actual wedding day, the guest rooms and the excellent breakfast served the morning after.

I envy any couples considering this venue as their option for their wedding, simply because I?d love to do it all over again!
We initially booked our big day pre-covid and as a result, we?re faced with changing dates, restrictions and sadly the hotel closing their doors due to government guidelines. We rescheduled our date to 30/04/22 (with absolutely no issue) and had our amazing day.
From start to finish Dean, our wedding co-ordinator was exceptional. His real passion for his job is so evident from your first meeting right through to the big day. He is there for everything - and by everything I mean things he shouldn't even have to deal with from a bride lol. Wow what a wedding we had at the hillgrove hotel. We had seen images posted on Instagram by weddings online of the venue an fell head over heels. We booked a show around with their wedding co-ordinator Dean and we were immediately sold. Not only was the venue exactly the place i dreamed about, but Dean was the complete package. We had our wedding in The Hillgrove Hotel a few weeks ago and it was honestly the most perfect day! From the first moment that we met the hotel team, they stood out from all the rest, and throughout the decision-making process for our venue, we just kept coming back to The Hillgrove.

Our coordinator, Dean Coyne, and all the staff are so lovely, friendly, attentive and accommodating, and they made the whole process so enjoyable and relaxed. No ask was too big or small, and they made everyone feel at home for the couple of days we were there.

You get amazing value for money, and everything Dean and his team do is with the client very much at the forefront. Dean also does a wonderful job of ensuring that the day runs as smoothly as possible, and the staff really look after the guests and make sure that every need is catered to.

The hotel is a beautiful venue, and the team decorate it so wonderfully with the hotel's own decor, so much so that we had to get very little of our own decor. Everything is located in the one section of the hotel, and is completely separate to the rest of the hotel guests so it almost feels like your own private venue which is so nice!

We had our wedding just 3 days ago in the hilgrove. To say it was amazing was an understatement!!! From the first day we met Dean anything we asked of him it was always "yes! No problem." He went above and beyond for us and we can't thank him enough. We would like to start off with how beautiful the Hillgrove Hotel is , this was our 4th venue to visit, when we walked through the doors into reception we instantly had a great feeling for this hotel.
Our wedding day from start to finish was everything we wanted and more!
This was all down to Dean our wedding coordinator and his wonderful team, everything we wished for we got with no issues which made our experience even better, compared to other venues that we visited first the Hillgrove Hotel just offered us so much more and we just knew before leaving on our first visit that this was the perfect venue for us.
We got married on 27th July 2022 and this was our 4th date due to Covid restrictions, every date was changed with no problems and everything went so smoothly.
Dean kept in contact with us regularly to make sure everything was in place and how we wanted it , our guests were delighted with the service and everyone commented on how beautiful the food was.
That day when we arrived Dean met us with a red carpet laid out and helped us out of the wedding car and handed us champagne which instantly made us feel welcome then for photos Dean lifted my veil up in the air and made it look like the wind was blowing it which was a lovely touch for our photos.
We also extended our stay and had our day after the wedding in the hotel with music and a buffet for a few family and friends and this was great not having to pack up the next morning, the next day was great to catch up with everyone it was nice and relaxing again all down to the service of the hotel.

The Hillgrove is a beautiful hotel, a lovely setting for a wedding. The separate entrance to the function room makes for a lovely entrance in for the couple with a relaxed reception and bar area. The hotel was very good value for money, particularly compared to many hotels in N.I. We had so many compliments from guests about the quality of food and staff were on hand offering seconds (and thirds!), ensuring guests were very well fed and watered. The service from staff was excellent and anyone we encountered were friendly and helpful. On top of all that the real highlight for us was our co ordinator, Dean. He was full of advice, practical, sensible, genuinely enthusiastic, accommodating, a down right nice guy and a pleasure to work with. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better experience and our dealings with the hotel were the easiest part of organising our wedding. Would absolutely recommend the Hillgrove hotel as a wedding venue to anyone.

We had our wedding in the hillgrove Hotel and Spa booked from 2018. With covid we postponed from 2021 to 2022. With changing dates Dean was so helpful and always prompt at answering all calls and emails. We had our day on 15th July 2022 and it was the best day ever. Hotel was so accomdating especially with the majority of our wedding party staying. The food was outstanding, attention to detail was second to none and most importantly Dean was there throughout making sure everything went seamlessly. It honestly was the best day and all our guest commented on how fantastic the hillgrove Hotel was. We've had many say it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Where do we begin. From the first time visiting the hotel myself and Maria were made so welcome upon arrival, we were shown around the whole hotel from hotel lobby reception room, honeymoon suite to our resident bar. Nothing was left out and after a 2 hour show round and a relaxed sit down chat we felt nothing was forced upon us, they listened to our needs and desires. Upon leaving that first walk around we knew we had found our hotel. Without hesitation we placed a deposit and one sentence that stuck with me was Dean (our wedding coordinator) saying "We work for you now". That meant alot as it felt like Dean and the Hillgrove wanted to be part of our wedding and not just a wedding venue.

From countless emails regarding wedding prep, Dean made even the smallest details achievable to help make our day that extra bit special. He helped ease our stress and worries and honestly without his help and guidance we wouldn't have got the perfect day.

To the venue, the hotel is so welcoming from when your greeted at reception, to the bar staff and the staff in the restaurant. The wedding reception room was nothing sort of spectacular, we had a vision of how we wanted the room and Dean delivered it, the room can be designed and catered to all different needs, it deff is worth seeing. The reaction of our guests proved this as everyone commented on how stunning the room was.

We included a second day of celebrating to our weekend, and the attention to detail was as high a standard as it was for our wedding day. The staff catered to our needs and went the extra mile to securing extra bedrooms and putting on extra food for our buffet.

There are many hotels that will take a wedding, but I can honestly say from the heart that not one of them will cater or go that extra mile for you than the Hillgrove,

And Dean our wedding coordinator, he is so passionate about his job, and I repeat how well he made us feel leading up to our wedding and how he gave us the day we wanted. I can honestly say we have made a special friendship with him. Thank you for everything Dean.

Due to covid we had to re-arrange our wedding. So when we contacted The Hillgrove to see if they could accommodate our wedding in 2022, we were delighted they had a date that suited us. The Hillgrove would be local to both our families, so we knew the level of service we would receive. If your looking for a hotel to take your stress away the hillgrove is the only place to go from the minute we met Dean the wedding coordinator everything was a breeze he was on hand for anything we needed even down to the day itself he took on new challenges such as fixing my veil for me and was there to sort any thing we needed !! Despite the short notice with restrictions lifting Dean was more than happy to accommodate extra number etc. He was a pleasure to work and cannot recommend the hotel enough.

Couldn't rate highly enough, from day one to the day after, Dean and his team were excellent, nothing was too much trouble, very professional, helpful and a very warm personal experience. The flexibility and kindness that was shown to us was incredible. Truly made our experience one to remember, honestly believe they couldn't be beaten when it comes to weddings. From start to finish the hill grove was a dream venue for us, nothing was ever to much for them. We had the most fantastic experience with the Hillgrove Hotel wedding team, namely Dean Coyne. We booked our wedding in April 2021 for September 2021 which was a relatively short period of time for planning. Coupled with this we were in the middle of a pandemic and the level of support and quality of service from the Hillgrove Hotel was second to none. In a time were nothing was certain we were regularly contacted by the hotel and updated on where things were and what restrictions were in place, always reassuring us. Dean did everything within his power to accommodate us and was really flexible with whatever was within his control.
The hotel, reception area and the wedding room itself are beautiful. Stunning lighting features and decorations throughout. All our guests commented on how fabulous the reception area and wedding room were. We had some children within our wedding guests and they had an amazing time with loads of facilities to keep them occupied.
We were blown away by how easy Dean made everything for us and there were so many things he just took care of without question. We have busy jobs and live in the UK so having very little to arrange for the venue was beyond what we were hoping for and we couldn't be more thankful to Dean and the wider team.

We got married last Saturday and had our reception at the Hillgrove. We booked our wedding here before Covid was ever a thing and from the get go we felt that unlike any other hotels the Hillgrove were willing to give back to couples ie. the gift to you.
Like many other couples we had to postpone our wedding for September 2020 and this was done so smoothly and totally hassle free.
As our new wedding approached and guidelines needed clarification from the government we were starting to dread a covid wedding again but after speaking to Enda he soon to put us at ease and helped make the planning enjoyable again.
Dean had then taken over and well what can we say, as a newly promoted wedding events manager he was more that happy to go over and beyond for us nothing was to big of an ask. If there was anything he could do for us he did. Dean was an absolute delight to work along with in making our special day as magical as it was.
All the staff in general on our wedding day couldn't be faulted, the food was endless and glasses were never empty. Everyone just kept talking about the amount of food and how nice it was.

Couldn't fault the hillgrove, even during such stressful times they made sure we had the best day possible. Our wedding coordinator Dean just went above and beyond for us.

From the very first day we were by to the Hillgrove to book our wedding there, which was a civil wedding and full reception, the staff were so professional and explained every detail so clearly, they left no questions unanswered, we were shown the function room, the civil ceremony room, both laid out immaculately and beautiful, we were shown the new garden, full choice menus which even catered for dietary requirements, everything was made so clear to us and the Hillgrove staff, namely Enda and Dean, both fully worked with us for our wedding, alongside the wedding celebrant, florists and cake maker, due to corolabola Govt restrictions and because of the restrictions, the Hillgrove staff namely Enda and Dean actually gave us for our day a lot of extra decorations and features to make the civil ceremony, entry hall and reception room even more fantastic and beautifully decorated, thank you all so much, we were to have our wedding last year but had to postpone it till this year, that was no problem to them at all, the govt restrictions still placed a limit on us, of 50 guests and no live music, Enda and Dean played trumps with us by organising the Spotify playlist made by the band we had booked, to be played both at the civil ceremony and after the wedding meal, that really made the nigh for us, the food was fantastic, so thanks to the chefs and the banquet staff for amazing service, choices, efficiency and prices, all were brilliant, the rooms for guests and the bridal suite were all to class, the professionalism of Enda and Dean with all thier help and guidance was unreal and without them, we were pule have been lost, they even kept the flowers in a fridge!!!!
Who ever is thinking of booking the Hillgrove for thier wedding, don't dare bypass them as you will regret it, they only complaint we had was, it's an awful pity you guys didn't have Hillgrove Hotel over the past few years, it's now a truly amazing hotel under management of INUA hotels and well turned around and decorated top to bottom, with amazing staff and excellent prices, compared to its previous owners, in fact I'd love to work there

Seriously can not recommend this hotel enough! We booked for May and had to reschedule to Sep due to covid 19 but they were beyond accomodating and helpful!
We finally had our day on the 4th of September and it was absolutely amazing. Mary,Enda and all the staff couldn't have done more to ensure that we had the best day ever, which we absolutely did! The wedding packages are fantastic value and the food and service was something else! The function room is just stunning, everyone commented on it!

Our wedding in the Hillgrove hotel was an absolutely excellent experience.
The hotel staff were superb from the minute we walked in the door to speak to the wedding planners when we were researching wedding venues, all the way through to the minute we left on the day after our wedding.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, all our needs were expertly looked after, and the quality of the rooms, the decor, the foyer, the wedding reception rooms etc., was all superb.
On the day of the wedding itself, we were expertly managed by the experienced staff, and the food and service were top notch.

There was not one complaint from any of our guests (240 people),so we are delighted with the hotel, and are totally comfortable with recommending it to other couples who are looking for a great wedding venue.

We recently had our wedding reception in the Hillgrove hotel. Was such a fabulous venue. From the d?cor to the wonderful picturesque gardens. The staff were friendly approachable and went the extra mile to ensure that our day went smoothly and kept to the schedule. The service for our meal was exceptional the food was delicious and most important hot on delivery. The bridal suite was beautiful and there hairdressing service was brilliant and good value for money. It is a wonderful hotel to visit and lovely place to eat highly recommend it

The Hillgrove is absolutely amazing!! Myself and my husband went back in 2016 to have a look and from we met Mary and seen the room everything was perfect. 3years in advance booking everything. Mary was in touch all the time making sure everything was well especially with the arrival of our?daughter. The few months leading up to our wedding Mary was on the ball with everything and the communication was brilliant anything I needed or wanted she sorted!! On arrival of our wedding the welcome we got from Mary&Enda was phenomenal!! The way everything was displayed was absolutely beautiful!! My guests never stopped talking about the amount of bubbly,beer and food on arrival and it all tasted amazing, even the selection of food for my coeliac relatives they were amazed!! Then the dinner unbelievable the food was out of this world as always and yet again my guests couldn't get over how wonderful everything was and the amount of seconds.... The whole hotel, staff, food even the decor (what made me love the hotel) is simply amazing everything was completed to perfection exactly how I wanted our special day to go!!!?

We recently had our wedding at The Hillgrove, 30/08/2019. I can not recommend The Hilgrove Hotel enough. The staff, the food, the location, the venue - everything was amazing, could not have asked for better. Mary our wedding coordinator was amazing, she could not have done more for us! The whole experience with The Hillgrove was very hassel free, and relaxed which is what a bride wants. The venue suited everyone, families, friends, young and old - they have facilities for everyone. We had our wedding here on the 15/6/19 and honestly couldn't have picked a Better venue, from the get go mary , enda and all staff couldn't do enough for us. Where to start!! We had the most amazing day at the Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan for our wedding on 3rd May! Our wedding coordinator Mary was amazing from we initially visited the hotel back in September 2017 right through to our wedding day! She literally could not do enough for you, she honestly made my wedding planning experience quite relaxed and never once did I panic about anything in relation to the venue! Mary had everything covered which made our day run so smoothly!! I could not recommend Mary & her team highly enough as wedding coordinators for you big day! In the venue itself we used the Rembrandt Suite for our wedding ceremony and the Van Gough Suite for the reception. Both were decorated impeccably - we could not have been happier with the layout of the rooms, the decorations and the ambience as a whole was amazing!! The food was delicious, we heard nothing but good reports about the food and everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals! The staff were second to none! We had quite a big wedding with 194 guests and throughout the food service and evening buffet the staff were fantastic, they were friendly, approachable and efficient!! Special shout out to Moulay, Evelyn, Geraldine and Aleksandra who were fantastic on both our wedding day and the bbq celebrations the day after!! Our wedding guests are still talking about our wedding and how amazing the Hillgrove as a venue was which is testament in itself to the service we received! Our Wedding Day!
We had our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel on 27th April and from start to finish it was fab. The guests loved the champagne/ guiness reception along with the scones and shortbread treats when they arrived. The decor of the hotel is just beautiful already but on the day with all our chair covers and silver bows provided by the hotel it looked top class. The food was to die for and we are still getting compliments about it. Not to mention the amazing room service breakfast wE recieved the in the Bridal Suite the next morning!!! Everything went so smoothly and Mary the hotels wedding co-ordinator made us feel so at ease knowing she had everything under control. We had our wedding in the hillgrove hotel on the 30th March, we could not recommend this hotel enough. We dealt with Mary all throughout our wedding planning she went above and beyond to make our day so special. The food was top class and the staff were excellent. We still have people telling us the food, staff and band were excellent and they had a great day. It is a real family hotel and as we already have a child we were looking to keep him entertained on the day also,Mary organised a bouncy castle and it was fully supervised by two wonderful staff members. If u are thinking of staying here or booking your wedding here we could not recommend this hotel enough, u definitely wont be disappointed,it is fab! The spa is also top class in it I used it to de stress before the wedding and also went back after the wedding. Big thanks to the staff u's are a wonderful bunch and definitely deserve a 5 star rating!

We had our wedding here in February(2019) and it was amazing. I couldn't say enough good things about our wedding coordinator Mary. She was fantastic from the very first meeting and nothing was too much trouble. As well as being excellent at her job she is a genuinely lovely person and made the whole process so easy and had everything covered on the day which took away any stress for us and meant we could enjoy it properly. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are spotless and very spacious and the bridal suite was fantastic. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it and all of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed their meal.
Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and everything ran so smoothly and went exactly how we wanted it thanks to Mary and her team. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Hillgrove Hotel to other couples considering it as their wedding venue.

Had our wedding in the Hillgrove last month and I can honestly say I cannot recommend this hotel enough! On the day everything was fantastic- the room was set up beautifully, the service we received was second to none and the meal was just to die for! Before our big day we had the help of the fabulous Mary who did her best to help with any and all questions that we had (and believe me that was a lot!!)
We were the first wedding to be photographed in the new wedding gardens and we are delighted with our photographs! Brilliant to have such a nice spot right outside the hotel so you don't have to go away to get photos taken and end up missing out on more of the big day.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hillgrove to any engaged couples as the quality of service from all of the hotel staff we got was phenomenal, our special day went off without a hitch and we are still getting comments from guests of it being "the best wedding they have been at", our delicious wedding meal is still getting talked about too! We had our wedding in this hotel on the 28th December! If your thinking about booking do it!! Mary the wedding co-ordinator is an absolute wee gem! Nothing was ever too much hassle including my one million emails! The whole planning process was a breeze with Mary we left boxes of supplies in the hotel the night before and Mary had all perfectly laid out for our arrival. She was there to greet us on arrival and ensure that our day ran smooth! Mary ensured that we kept to our timescale for the day and therefore allowed us to enjoy the evening party of our wedding! The food was absolutely top class! Our guests are still raving about the food and the fantastic service which was provided on the day! The champagne breakfast the next day was more than enjoyable! I would highly recommend The Hillgrove Hotel as a wedding venue. Mary was our wedding coordinator and she could not of did anymore for us. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel itself was absolutely perfect. We really did have the most amazing day of our lives.

So delighted to have had our wedding here. We won 1st prize in a fabulous competition where we received ?5000 towards our wedding in 2018. We were helped along the journey by 2 brilliant wedding co-ordinators Mary and Enda. Our day ran so smoothly from arriva till late into the night. We loved the recently refurbished decor and the space to enjoy a large wedding. The food was exceptional and we were provided with a great choice. Would well recommend the Hillgrove for their relaxed atmosphere. Would love to be doing it all over again

From start to finish our experience with the Hillgrove could not be faulted. They fulfilled every request we had without question and were always available to answer any queries we may have had. Me and my husband had our Wedding Evening Reception at the Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan on the 3rd of August 2018. The Hillgrove was close to home and thought it would be ideal for our special day. The lead up to the wedding, our Hotel Wedding Co-Ordinator Mary did everything to help us with great communication. We held our wedding in the Hillgrove and it was a fantastic day! Food was great and the room where we held our ceremony was beautifully decorated, staff were pleasant and very helpful! The Hillgrove was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. The staff are extremely friendly, the function room was a perfect size and set up. When we first started wedding planning and viewing venues I felt the experience very overwhelming. But when we viewed the Hillgrove and met with the wedding coordinator we knew the venue was for us, she had such experience planning and coordinating weddings she put us at ease. We opted for the wedding package the Hillgrove offered which was great value for money and put us in contact with high-quality local suppliers.

Mary the wedding coordinator was a pleasure to work with and nothing was too much to ask from her, she was always willing to go that extra mile to make our day perfect and what we wanted. Our guests loved the venue, raved about the food which was delicious!

There is so many words I could say about the staff and the hotel on our special day. But here is 1 word, phenomenal!!! Everything was to perfection. We couldn't have wished it any better. Mary was an absolute diamond and so were all the serving staff! Can't wait to get back for another over night!!!

Absolutely, without doubt the best wedding venue in Ireland! Mary and all the staff catered to our every need! No matter what we asked it was not a problem! The food was amazing, the service was 5* and the hotel itself was immaculate! We were treated like royalty from start to finish and the hotel went above and beyond their call of duty to ensure we had everything we wanted for our big day! Can't wait to go back!

Myself and My Husband Celebrated our Wedding in the Hillgrove in January,
Everything was fantastic, every request I had was never a problem. We sat 309 guests and everyone was delighted with the food and service on the day. We had hot whiskeys and mini burgers on arrival which went down a treat :) People still talk about our wedding which is great, unfortunately when all is over that's all you have left, is that all your guests had a great day. Thank you to all the staff!

My husband James and I got married in the Hillgrove Hotel on the 23/09/17. It was just a magical day from start to finish. From delicious food to gorgeous scenery, you couldn't fault it. The wedding planners were so helpful and made sure everything went according to plan. We thank you again for a fantastic day and we wish you all the best.

Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Linda was our coordinator and nothing was too much hassle. We were organising our wedding from over seas and the flexibility that the Hillgrove had for us when it came to appointments was unbelievable. They know exactly what they are doing and they do it brilliantly, complete experts and can assist with any extras. The food...our guests raved about the food, the quality and the quantity is fantastic. Couldn't have asked for better.

Where can i begin. I cannot thank Linda and all the staff at the Hillgrove for making my wedding so special. From the very beginning i felt so looked after and no matter what problems i had and silly ones at that it was resolved so quickly.
