The Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan is fully licensed to host Civil Ceremonies. The Ceremonies are conducted in a Suite of your choice with various wedding themes available.

From the moment we met Dean we knew we were in the best hands possible. From the get go Dean was so enthusiastic, helpful and professional. The packages that were on offer were phenomenal, something to suit everyone. We were given a list of suppliers so we were not short of choices.
From the moment we secured the date, Dean took care of everything with our chosen suppliers which eased so much of our stress. Several times throughout the wedding planning it felt like it was too easy and stress free, I kept feeling like I was forgetting something but that was simply due to Dean having everything under control and taking that stress away so we could focus on other things for the wedding.
In terms of communication Dean was fantastic. Nothing was ever too much trouble. He kept in touch constantly throughout the wedding planning process and all emails were quickly responded to. We always felt we could email at any time even if the questions felt ?silly?.
There?s simply not enough I can say to put into words how truly amazing Dean was on the day of the wedding. He thought of absolutely everything. His positive energy put both of us at ease on the day and we felt completely taken care of. He was always close by if there was anything we needed on the day and on the day after the wedding.
We can honestly say we don?t think we would have enjoyed the wedding planning process half as much if we didn?t have Dean as our wedding coordinator. He made the whole process easy, fun and enjoyable. He is an absolute credit to the hotel and any couple that decides on the Hillgrove Hotel as their venue will be in the best hands possible.
Dean, we can?t thank you enough for all you have done for us on the buildup to and on our special day. You really blew all expectations out of the water. We wish you all the best in the future and every success, it is so deserved.

The services that I received at the Hillgrove make this the easiest review I have ever written.
The Hillgrove was the 3rd place I went to see as a possible wedding venue. But the minute I met with Dean I just knew that it was going to be the place I was getting married. From the very first email to set up an appointment to look at the venue I received top class service. I had an appointment made for the following week. During the appointment Dean took great time to explain to us at length what the Hillgrove had to offer and also listened to us and answered all our questions. We were shown the Ballroom and drinks reception area all set up and the various different choices that we had in both areas. There was absolutely no pressure put on us at any time to book, in fact we were given a list of questions to ask all venues we look at to ensure we don't forget anything, to me this felt like a case of Dean saying " If you chooses us great, but if you don't I want to ensure you still get the best day" That spoke volumes.
After booking The Hillgrove for the wedding reception communication remained 100% at all times. I was in contact and met with Dean on a couple of occasions where i was able to discuss what i wanted to personalise about the day including table settings and centre pieces. Dean took time with me to set up the centre pieces in various ways incorporating both their items and my own until I find the combination that I wanted. He went above any beyond what I expected. Dean took time to talk me through my wedding and offer me suggestions or give me ideas when I was unsure. He advised me ways to do things that were financially better.
The food tasting night was just amazing - it was set up like a little wedding and was just so beautifully done. The food we had chosen to taste was served and we got to try some of the other options when we were not fully decided what we wanted. It was ensured that we were completely happy with the menu choices we had made before we left the hotel on tasting night.
In relation to room bookings, Breda was fantastic and in contact and was also able to answer questions and solve some of the room issues for us that came up due to people not booking, she worked wonders.
My wedding day was the best day ever from the moment I arrived. Dean arranged for me to be allowed drive into the hotel Foyer even though it wasn't raining as i wanted to get a picture. We were met with champagne and brought to see the room all set up prior to our guests. It was even better that was expected and left me very emotional. Dean and his crew had gone above and beyond. Dean checked in to see that everything was as we wanted and was willing if necessary to do anything needed, but everything was perfect.
The service provided from the moment I arrived was second to none. Everything went just perfectly. The food was absolutely amazing and everyone was and still is talking about how fabulous the food was. The servers both at the top table and the other tables were fabulous young people that were extremely polite and smiling and very helpful.
Liz who looked after us for the evening was constantly checking in to make sure we were ok and everyone was ok. She was extremely helpful and cheerful and just a pleasure to have around us.
My wedding was the easiest thing I have ever organised and was very stress free,
I would more that recommend the Hillgrove for a wedding venue, I would go as far as to encourage people to go check it out because you will be blown away with the service you receive.
Again, I want to mention Dean, He is second to none as a co-ordinator. He is fantastic at what he does and he does it all with such professionalism. It is obvious that he loves his job and he is fantastic at it. He dealt with my last minute table changes and never made an issue of it, in fact re-assured me it wasn't an issue. We stayed an extra night in the Hillgrove and it was organised that we could stay in the Bridal suite and not have to change. Dean checked in with us the day after the wedding to see how it all went and again on the morning we were checking out. I could not ask for anything better. I have absolutely no changes I would make to my day.

Best day of our lives... Hillgrove Hotel is outstanding for any future couples looking for package weddings as this hotel ticked all the boxes and more... no stone was unturned and from the very start of our planning we knew we were in the best hands... those hands being the hillgrove hotel wedding co ordinator Dean Coyne who we cannot thank enough for everything Dean asked us both what we wanted from the start to which we said good food and good music which we got ten fold.. Dean single handed prepared our whole day from our wedding cermoney to helping choose a sole minister, band, photographer, florist, photobooth, reception music, cermoney music which was such a relief to have all this looked after in our package. There was no stress in our planning as Dean had everything taken care of.. He is so professional and you can genuinely see he loves his job and that shows in his attention to detail. Dean we can't thank you enough for what you did for us and made the whole experience so enjoyable.
To the rest of the hillgrove team we would like to personally thank Erin, Liz, all the staff on the day and night and we have to give a shout out to the head chef Paul who served up the most delicious food and all our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the cannapys at the pre receiption and the main meal which Was top class.
The hillgrove accommodated our kids also by keeping them busy in the Cinema room which was great for the parents at intervals. There is nothing we could fault about our wedding day if anything it blew our expectations out of the water from stunning decor throughout the hotel to food and fantastic suppliers it was just phenomenal.

Form the day we walked into the wedding show case we new it was the one for us the warm welcome the beautiful set up u could see all the hard work that goes into the day we just new it was we’re we would love to have our day and we were 100% right the hotel the staff the decor everything was amazing form start to finish dean made everything seem so simply for us there wasn’t any stress for us!! we had 3 beautiful fun memorable days with our family& friends we had a meal for everyone on the night before witch was also set up so beautiful and made feel so comfortable the actual wedding went so so smoothly the staff were amazing the food was incredible and all deans recommendations were spot on!! Dean made us both feel very relaxed the morning of and just before going down the aisle our 3rd day was another beautiful set up nice and relaxing and loads of fun food again was fab there is nothing to big or to small of a job they couldn’t do for us all our families are still talking about how good the hotel is for adults and kids the kids club was a god sent and 100% recommend we honestly could of asked for a better package a better day or a better person to deal with (Dean)
we would also like to give kaylen and liz a big shout out as they were amazing for the 3 days such a laugh and worked really really hard and made sure me and my husband were ok the whole time

After celebrating our Wedding Day in the Hillgrove on 2nd August, it is easy to see why Dean is an award-winning wedding coordinator. From the first point of contact Dean and his wonderful team of staff went above and beyond to ensure our wedding day was the day we had always dreamed of.
We went for the ‘I do’ all-inclusive wedding package and we are so glad we did; so much of the stress of sourcing suppliers was taken off our hands and made planning so much easier. Dean was always prompt in answering queries and always provided brilliant guidance and advice.
On the day of our wedding staff had both the function room and the pre-reception area set up beautifully and we had so many compliments from guests about how the venue was so tastefully decorated, as well as on the beautiful meal we had.
We cannot thank Dean and his fantastic staff enough, our wedding day was the best day of our lives and the Hillgrove will always have a special place in our hearts. I would highly recommend the Hillgrove to any couple on the search for a wedding venue; we received nothing but first class service from all staff and we are so grateful.

When we met with Dean and he showed us around the Hillgrove we knew that we had found our venue.
Dean could answer all of our questions, and when we explained that we had a child with ASD he put us at ease about having our wedding in the Hillgrove.
A lovely little touch was the pre wedding tasting. The dining room was set up like a mini wedding for us and the other couples. We got to sample the meals we chose for our wedding. It was a great evening.
Our wedding day was perfect. Dean reassured us that he would be with us every step of the way. The ceremony room, reception area and ballroom were all decorated beautifully. The decor, candy cart, crisp wall were all provided by the Hillgrove. All our guests were blown away by the food, they still talk about how good their meal was. Many of our guests stayed in the hotel and were also very impressed by the food in the bar.
We availed of the sensory room the night before the wedding. It is fantastic! All our children loved it. We would highly recommend it for any couples who have children. The Hillgrove host so many weddings every week but Dean and his team were still able to make us feel special. A big thank you to Liz who was very friendly and was our point of contact when Dean was getting married himself.

Dean our wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing from start to finish. I had to email to see if I could bring certain things for children certain foods to be cooked etc, no problem. And was very responsive. We had such an amazing day at the Hillgrove for our wedding day. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend the Hillgrove of Monaghan for your special day.

We recently held our wedding at The Hillgrove, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. From start to finish, the service we received was nothing short of exceptional, making our special day truly unforgettable.
One of the highlights of our experience was working with Dean, our wedding coordinator. Dean went above and beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care for our vision made all the difference. I could not recommend the hillgrove enough for a wedding! From the very first day we met with Dean we knew we were in good hands. Dean and the Hillgrove hotel where absolutely amazing! Dean's constant follow up and attention to detail was flawless! We got a wonderful package but what was more incredible was Dean's flexibility in working in our special changes or requests to our day. Honestly I couldn’t recommend the hillgrove enough!
From we walked through those doors too view the hotel we knew it was our dream place to bring all our friends and family to celebrate our marriage! We had our whole day including the ceremony which was an absolute dream, the team to work with from start to finish was amazing. We cannot fault the Hillgrove Hotel at all. We were originally aiming for a country house type wedding venue but we called by the Hillgrove hotel out of curiosity on the way to another viewing as we had a little time to spare. We walked out of our meeting with Dean knowing it was the one. From the moment we saw the rooms made up and had a conversation with Dean, we knew this was the one and that our wedding would be in the best hands.
The amount of decor that comes included as standard blew us and all our guests away. The single piece of decor I needed to add was a small arrangement for the signing the register table as I wanted a memory candle ritual as part of our ceremony. Everything else came provided and was so beautifully presented on the day. We had an incredible amount of compliments on the banquet and drinks reception rooms, but especially the ceremony room. It was stunning.
We also never came across another venue that was such good value for money! We were so pleasantly surprised at the cost of the meal and ceremony and what we got with the package compared to every other venue we visited.
And then came along Dean, who made the whole decision a no-brainer for us. Dean and his team were incredible in every possible way. No task was too big or too last minute for them to handle easily & professionally. Before we even left our initial meeting to just scope out the venue, Dean provided us with a checklist of information to ensure we ask other venues while wedding planning to make sure nothing would get missed during our special day. He told us that no matter who we went with for a venue, to make sure they answered all the questions and that we were satisfied with their answers. For us, this showed us that he was not just trying to sell his venue to us, but that he cared more about making sure our day would be perfect, no matter where we got married. We knew immediately our wedding would be in safe hands.
The entire day went so flawlessly. Our guests were full of nothing but compliments for the whole team. They made everyone feel so welcomed and had everything running like clockwork. We even had compliments on efficiently and professionally the meal was served and how organised the teams were in change overs from dinner to evening.

Dean was an absolute dream to work with. From the moment we sat down with him to book our wedding nothing was a problem. Dean responded usually within hours of an email we sent him. He knows literally everything there is to know about weddings; the perfect place to get a photo, the timings, the usual things that could go wrong to name a few. The feedback from the guests at our wedding was it was one of the best weddings they were at, the service was outstanding (we had 200guests), plenty of food and a very well stocked bar. We would definitely recommend the Hillgrove for a wedding and the support from Dean throughout the whole wedding planning and the wedding day was outstanding.

We had our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel on the 3rd May and what amazing day we had with family and friends, we couldn’t fault one thing, Dean was absolutely amazing from the day we booked our wedding nothing was a trouble and always responded so fast to any queries we had, he goes above and beyond and we could never thank him enough. The food was absolutely amazing all our guests are still talking about how good it was, the staff at the hotel couldn’t do enough for us on the day and the following day, everyone was so nice! The hotel itself is beautiful everything is so clean and homely we love the hotel. Definitely 10* from us!

We are truthfully struggling to find the words to best reflect our experience of having our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel. I suppose 3 things made our decision for us ie the location ( we were clear that we wanted to accommodate the majority of our guests) with me coming from Ballygawley & my Fiancé coming from Armagh. The second thing was the amazing reception room, I was totally blown away by it. Lastly, Dean, the wedding coordinator, who is absolutely fantastic. We both knew we were in good hands when we met Dean & how right we were. From the moment we confirmed our date Dean became our go to man. The level of communication was second to none. Dean guided us through every step & made the whole process run so smoothly. I sent him numerous emails, with queries that had popped into my head & nothing was a problem to him. I recall arriving to our menu tasting night quite stressed, due to a situation that had developed. Dean’s words to us that evening were “ We don’t do stress, let me sort that”, within a few minutes he had us both at ease. He has no idea how much that meant to us. In the few weeks prior to our wedding the emails from Dean were more frequent & he arranged a final meeting to finalise our details. He thinks of every little detail & the final result was our fabulous wedding day. We had such a very special day, the memories of which we will cherish forever. The pre reception set up, the food - which was exceptional, the accommodation, the bridal suite, the fantastic team of staff who worked tirelessly & the overall cleanliness, we cannot fault any of it. The feedback from our guests, which we are still receiving, is testimony to the how our wedding at the Hillgrove was received. As a more mature couple, with the majority of our guests being over 50, we were keen to ensure that our wedding was tasteful & memorable to both ourselves & our guests. The Hillgrove, Dean, Liz & their team absolutely nailed it for us. If anyone reading this review is planning their wedding, we would very strongly recommend that you arrange to see the Hillgrove. They will help you have the most amazing day of your life.

We had an absolutely amazing day, it was just perfect for us from start to finish. The attention to detail and feeling like royalty for the day. Dean was just brilliant at his job from the early days responding to texts or emails, rearranging tasting menus etc. The package deal is just great with all the best suppliers to choose from when planning your big day. Very little you have to do because it's all done for you so takes the stress away. I highly recommend choosing Hillgrove Monaghan if you want good value for money, the best wedding coordinator who is with you every step of the way, a stunning set up. If I could do it all again I would change nothing because it was just perfect.

The Hillgrove stood out to us as our wedding venue from the get go, Dean in particular! His relaxed yet professional attitude would immediately put anyone at ease. He was always available to answer any queries, big or small, day or night. The level of experience was clear from the first meet, we arrived to have a look around and left with our wedding booked. Dean wasn’t like most wedding co-ordinators whose main aim is to “upsell upsell upsell”, and we loved this about him. He wanted us to enjoy our day and do things our way, and that’s exactly what he did. Dean took care of the details and had everything sorted for us, making life very easy! There wasn’t a single day of stress during the whole planning process and that was down to the hillgrove and their amazing team. We can’t thank them about for giving us and our guests the most amazing day.

We can not think Dean and the Hillgrove staff enough for their service and hospitality on the day of our wedding and on the build up to it. Dean made the entire process so easy and straightforward and the day could not have went any smoother.

Our wedding coordinator Dean, for being a hero over the past 2 years of planning, ensuring that everything we requested would be done to a tee without us having to stress or worry about a thing. Nothing was an issue and he really went above and beyond for us, making us the happiest newly married couple ever ☺️also a shout out to to Liz and Caolan for being brilliant at their job on the day too. To chef Paul and his team in the kitchen, the food.. waooow, unbelievable.. I've never had food like it and this is the comment all guests were saying afterwards too. Dean is the reason we decided to have our wedding in the Hillgrove. I’m from Monaghan so was always aware they served good food but from our first meeting with Dean, I knew it was the place for us. His no nonsense, flexible and humorous approach made the planning process so easy for us. When we had issues with our chosen cake maker, he went out on a limb to get a resolution for us. He made us laugh and at ease the day of our wedding and the morning after. Dean, you are unreal at what you do, the offering you’ve created along with the team who hosted us. We’ve received so many compliments of how good our reception was from the staff being such good craic to the abundance of food offered. We’re delighted we had our wedding in the Hillgrove and got to experience your magic!

Fantastic venue and professional and well trained staff. Excellent menu and above all, exceptional support from our wedding co-ordinator Dean Coyne. The hillgrove were so accommodating for our wedding day and pulled out all the stops. Our previous wedding venue had to cancel and Dean was fantastic in rearranging venues and functions to help us celebrate our day in the hillgrove. All the staff were so friendly and helpful on the day.
Dean arranged all for our wedding day after one meeting and it was fantastic, from the reception when we got in with so much choice of drinks and nibbles and everyone commented how lovely it was presented and tasted. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dean, Liz and team in the Hillgrove Hotel for giving us the perfect wedding day. The Hillgrove hotel was the best place to have our reception, from start to finish everything was perfect. Dean the wedding coordinator was hands on from the minute we booked our date. Nothing was a problem and was quick at getting back to us if we had any enquires.
On the day of the wedding everything was perfect and Dean was always around when we needed something he was just fantastic.
The staff were just amazing and all work well as a team. Evelyn was great at looking after the top table also.
The food was also unbelievable we still have people talking about the duck starter!
We couldnt recommend this venue enough to couples looking for their dream venue.

Dean has been exceptional from start to finish. Dean has been nothing but approachable and patient from the very first time we contacted Dean right down to the very last detail. Dean couldn?t have possibly done any more for us. Our day was magical and that was all down to Dean. Dean give us direction and guidance when needed and was so attentive to every thing we wanted. The hillgrove hotel staff are so fabulous everyone is so approachable and friendly and it says a lot. My guests all commented how that every single member of staff had a big smile on their face and were so friendly! Dean is so amazing at his job. Our wedding was more than anything we expected. From start to finish Dean and the Hillgrove went above and beyond expectations. From the reception of the wedding and the drinks at entry, to the food and Organisation made our day even more special. Can't thank Dean and the Hillgrove enough. What can I say, from the minute we went to view the Hillgrove, we fell in love with it. The hotel and the room itself was everything we wanted and more. The room is decorated to perfection. The food was amazing. Not one complaint from any of our guests about the food only to say there was too much!!!!
Dean himself waa great to work with. Nothing was an issue and was always on hand to reassure us. He was very helpful with us throughout our run up to the big day. I cant recommend him highly enough.

We had our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan in September this year and honestly we cannot say enough good things about them as a wedding venue. Dean is fantastic to deal with, efficient and attentive, always there to answer your queries. Their wedding packages are extremely good value, without compromise on quality. The food is without doubt the selling point. It was really important to us that we gave our guests a good day out and the meal was top of our priority list. Dean guaranteed us that the food would be top quality and plentiful, and i can honestly say we were not disappointed! It was the talking point for many of our guests, and even now 2 months later we are still getting comments on how amazing the food was! Our ceremony room was beautifully decorated, again guests have commented on this and the amount of choice at the drinks reception was better than anything I had seen on any of the other venues we looked at. Again both of these were commented on by our guests also.
Dean gets regular mention as being a fantastic wedding co-ordinator and how great he is to deal with, and rightly so, however all the staff that we dealt with throughout the course of our day were brilliant. On my arrival to the hotel on a very wet September afternoon with a large bridal procession of 4 flowergirls and 4 pageboys the staff that met us really took over and organised the children in the order i wanted and looked after them perfectly which meant we had the perfect walk up the aisle. At the meal Liz looked after us and made sure everything went as it should, the waiting staff made sure everyone was served quickly and all tables were served seconds without waiting or having to ask for anything. The bar staff again were quick and efficient throughout the day and we had a good drinking crowd!

I genuinely would not have changed one thing about our day. We were the most laid back couple throughout the whole process, and maybe towards the big started to worry about little things. However, Dean to the rescue, Dean is a god send, he was reassuring and took away any stress. Nothing was a problem for him, he has genuinely thought of everything, he has a solution for any problem that you might come across even if you haven't thought about it yet. The food of the day was amazing also, hats off to the chefs, our guests are still talking about it. And the service was second to none, and in a time were hospitality is struggling this is such a credit to the establishment.

We couldn?t have asked for a better wedding venue for our big day in September. The wedding coordinator Dean and his team, Liz in particular, were amazing to deal with - they left no stone unturned in making sure our day was as special as it could be. Liz had everything taken care of and organised the day before our wedding which left us with a great sense of relief. Our day itself was everything we had wished for and it couldn't have went any better, even the wet miserable day didn't dampen our spirits!. From the minute we entered the Hillgrove Hotel our minds were made up. We had found the perfect venue for our big day. We had an initial meeting with Dean and he completely put us at ease. What resonated with us about Dean was that nothing was ever a problem. No matter how complex the issue or question we posed, we were always greeted with a smile and his inevitable response, "No problem! It's your day, just you tell us what you want and we will make it happen."

Where do we even begin with Dean and everyone in the Hillgrove Hotel - when we got engaged we were told to look at the Hillgrove by 4 different couples - so we decided to make an appointment with the Hillgrove - within the first 30 minutes of meeting with Dean we knew we would be in great hands the whole way through. Dean was full of knowledge and advice to help us plan the perfect day. The menu tasting was out of this world and knew our guests wouldn?t go hungry. The week of the wedding Dean relaxed us so much by having everything looked after so much so all we had to do was turn up. Our wedding day arrived, in the morning we were both a bag of nerves but we relaxed the minute we arrived to the Hillgrove and seen Dean & his team at the red carpet. The drinks reception was fab and catered for everyone even non-alcoholic options for guests who didn?t drink. The dinner was perfect up until Main courses when my auntie took a turn at the end of the meal - Dean, Liz, Grace & Michael were there to assist my aunt within seconds. Unfortunately my auntie didn?t survive the turn. Our wedding didn?t continue after main courses but the love, care and support we received from the Hillgrove was out of this world and even as of last week Dean sent an email to check in on us all. Andrew the general manager and Erin even turned up as a mark of respect to her funeral with flowers. The Hillgrove team offered us a 2 night stay in their sister property in Kerry as a little getaway for us when we were ready after the funeral. This hotel went beyond their duties to show their help and support for every member of our family and we will be forever grateful to them. Thank you so much for Dean, Liz, Grace, Michael, Chris, Andrew and each and everyone of your staff members.

There aren?t enough words to describe how amazing of an experience we had with the Hillgrove. From the day we booked to view around the room, we knew it was the one. We got married on the 4th of August 2023 after pushing out our wedding out by a year! Dean was absolutely brilliant from the word go! He never stressed and made everything seem possible! There was absolutely no hassle with anything and he was such a great help to us. I honestly can't fault the Hilgrove. Planning your wedding can be a very stressful time as you just want everything to be perfect. Well, I can most definatly say that I instantly fell in love with the Hillgrove's wedding venue. The spacious ball room is out of this world. The food is also mouth watering. They offer you a full 3 course meal tasting which is a fantastic idea as it allows you to choose what you would like to eat on the day of your wedding.

The Hillgrove Hotel was the perfect reception venue for our Big Day in July. We loved everything from our private arrival at the venue as newly weds to our Day 2 celebrations the following day. The venue was beautifully decorated and everything from our table plan display to putting out our wedding favours was organised perfectly. Our guests also had a wonderful time and are still raving about the drinks reception which was plentiful and varied for both food and complimentary drinks. They were also massively impressed by the quality and quantity of food served both during the main meal and late night snacks. Many guest commented that it was the best wedding meal they had ever had. The waiting staff and management were all incredible and looked after everyone so well. Our many overnight guests also loved the accomodation and leisure centre, many opting for a morning after swim before our Day 2 kicked off. They were all treated so well and had such a great time we had double the number we expected for our Day 2 celebration. This again was dealt with brilliantly and the management team were quick to organise more food to be added to our original order. Dean is a gentleman and was utterly brilliant as our co-ordinator. We knew from the first conversation we had with him, that our wedding reception would be in excellent hands. Dean's experience in wedding planning was evident as he was always one step ahead and answered questions or had suggestions and ideas before we even thought of them ourselves. We planned our wedding from abroad and he was incredibly flexible and quick to respond by email. Nothing was too much trouble and he was so professional and kind throughout. Last minute hiccups on our end were dealt with quickly and calmly and he had a solution for everything. Dean made planning and organising our reception very easy and stress free and we are very grateful for all of his efforts.
We would highly recommend the Hillgrove Hotel to any couple who are wedding planning and we are really looking forward to visiting again for our anniversary gift from the hotel.

All I can say is WOW!!! Amazing service from the very first day we meet with our wedding co-ordinator Dean. This man is phenomenal at his job! Everything was so personalised he couldn?t do enough for us!

As soon as we met with Dean and he took us a tour of the Hillgrove we knew this was the perfect location for our wedding. The room itself is beautiful and the drinks reception has lots of room for a large number of guests but can also be condensed to suit smaller numbers. Dean was absolutely amazing, we genuinely couldn?t have asked for better. Nothing was ever a problem for Dean and no matter when we asked a question, he responded positively and quickly. We couldn?t have asked for a better Wedding day and Dean and his team at the Hillgrove played a massive part in this.

We got married recently in june 2023, i would very highly recommend the Hillgrove to any wedding couple. We booked it in april 2022 and from then on they were just amazing with everything, any request or question we had was no trouble at all and everything was accomidated and no bother at all. The hotel was also very good value for money as we had a budget but we still got everything we wanted included in the day. Dean particularly was a great great help and Liz the event manager i believe was amazing on the day also. There was no stress or anything with the lead up and day off so we were very relaxed and got to fully enjoy our day. I would highly recommend the hotel!! Thanks everyone. :)

I would highly, highly recommend this venue for a wedding. Dean our wedding coordinator was absolutely fantastic, he put our minds at ease on a number of occasions with a few worries we had. He helped us massively right from the beginning of our journey ensuring that we had all our boxes ticked also giving us tips and advice which we had taken on board and contributed to making our day as amazing as it was. Dean and all the staff at the Hillgrove are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The level of service was top class, from our meal tasting prior to the big day, our overnight stays and on the big day. Everything was carefully planned and presented in a professional manner. We booked the Hillgrove for our wedding June 23 and had the most relaxed experience. Dean, along with other staff members were extremely helpful taking a lot of pressure off ourselves. Our guests have been continually praising the high standard service, quality and quantity of food provided.
Our wedding day was everything we wanted and more and if possible we would do it all over again. Dean and the Hillgrove staff were excellent at their job and no doubt if any future couples book they will have the same experience!

There isnt enough words I can say to describe the experience We had with The Hillgrove Hotel. We had our dated booked and four months before our wedding we had to postpone due to covid. This was the most easiest transfer to do with the help of Dean. Dean was so helpful with calling me back and replying to my emails to comfirm dates which We had in mind.
Dean was there when we checked in the day before and made sure everything was ok and anything we asked extra this was made happen by Dean and the most amazing team at the Hillgrove. The Day before we asked Dean was there anyway we could have our Ceremony outside and only with a few hours notice he made this very possible which was magical for Us.
The foord was outstanding and everyone was still commenting on how nice it was a week later.
My husband and myself had the most amazing day because of how Dean and the Team managed everything.
I would highly recommend booking a wedding here as their deals are so affordable and the quality of things is amazing for value of money.
We cant wait to go back and stay as this hotel will always hold a special place in our Hearts.

Since my husband and I first enquired about having our wedding at the Hillgrove Hotel a year prior to the date of the wedding we were introduced to Dean the wedding Co ordinator, Dean had the answer to everything we wanted to know. From day 1 we knew we had made the right choice to have our wedding here and Dean as our co-ordinator. Everything was so relaxed in the run up to the wedding, Dean was always at the other end of the phone for answering any questions, menu tasting was fantastic and so well organised also. The packages at the hillgrove are great, and something to suit everyone's budget. Overall our wedding day couldn't have went any better and that's all thanks to Dean and the staff in the hotel each and everyone of them were great and went the extra mile for us. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

We recently had our wedding reception at the Hillgrove and can not say enough good things about this hotel!! Dean was amazing from start to finish, his advice was invaluable and nothing was ever too much trouble. Everything went so smoothly in the run up and on the day.

Don't look anywhere else. You are in great hands with Dean and his wedding team at the Hillgrove Hotel. We had the best wedding day and wish we could do it all again. We had our wedding reception in the Hillgrove Hotel on the 22.04.23 and we went for the All inclusive I Do package it was the most magical day of our lives. We worked along side Dean, who was our wedding co-ordinator. I can't praise Dean enough for all that he done for us he perfected every last detail and he is an absolute dream to work with. Dean was always at the other end of the phone if we ever needed anything day or night he is truly a massive credit to the Hillgrove and we will miss working with him until our next party. The decor in the hillgrove was set up so exquisitely everyone was commenting on how gorgeous the food was and how beautiful all of the little details were. We could not recommend the Hillgrove enough for everything that they done for us, all of the staff was absolutely amazing and not forgetting Liz who took over later on in the evening what a lady she is, she was so attentive and had everything under control with her friendly, bubbly and calming attitude...Myself and my husband would like to thank yous all so much for everything yous are a great bunch of people and run an absolutly outstanding hotel.

Where to begin ? as an indecisive bride who had visited many Venues some very lovely ones of course but I did wonder why I was still google searching for other venues. After having come across the stunning Hillgrove we booked our first show around which was done by the lovely Sharon. The minute we entered into the Hillgrove it was just Wow , we did of course have another few looks at the Hillgrove and I did again wonder why we kept going back that?s when we also met the fabulous Dean . After having found our perfect wedding reception location and booking our wedding day at the Hillgrove the service was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. Nothing was ever too much and everything was absolutely perfect. Dean could not have been any more amazing than he was. We met Dean to finalise our final detail, and I arrived with a list the length of my arm ( quite possibly longer) with all the wee details that I had hoped to have at my wedding reception and I wasn?t surprised when Dean had every last detail ticked off and more!! it was just perfect. Dean our Wedding Co-Ordinator was excellent from start to finish nothing was a problem, he was very flexible and had a great calming personality. Sharon from Sales was the one who made us fall in love with the Hillgrove from our inital meeting. The food was beautiful, there was more than enough so noone was hungry. The head of food & bev (we can't remember her name) was brilliant also as well as all the waiting staff. Aside from the Wedding itself we did have a few check-in issues but everything was sorted by Dean in the end up. We had a day 2 at the Hillgrove. It was great, we had a reserved area and food for our day 2 guests and the music in the bar was an added bonus.

We had the best wedding day at the Hillgrove Hotel. All the guests were very impressed, especially by the quality of the food. The only let down was the organising of the cutting of the cake, it seemed to be forgotten about. But otherwise, everything ran smoothly and the staff were very helpful.

Where do we start, Dean and the team where outstanding. From the moment of our first appointment viewing in the Hillgrove we knew our wedding was going to be everything we could of dreamt off.
Dean is very passionate in his work (this is true to see), he is professional and extremely kind (we forgot our baby formula and he personally went himself and grabbed us some)
We went for a humanist service, our service was held in the hillgrove, the room set up was magical, when I walked in I couldn?t believe my eyes Dean had literally brought my imagine to life. We booked two Nights to stay in the bridal suite, and being a last night person Which I am , I forgot to book the spa, (we got two full body massages, very relaxing) the hotel organised this for us, I mean nothing was a bother, treated so well .

We had our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel in February and had an amazing day. The whole process from the initial meeting with Dean right through to the end was so easy. Having visited a fair few venues, we knew the Hillgrove was the one for us the second we walked in on their wedding fayre day. The hotel has been recently refurbished with new carpets, new interior decorations in the ballroom and the most spectacular set up for the perfect wedding day. We had a short engagement, only 6 months, however, this was no problem to Dean and his team. Due to such short notice, we were struggling with a few suppliers, but the Hillgrove have an excellent selection of suppliers to choose from and we were able to book our band and flourist through the hotel. The wedding tasting menu evening is brilliant, it's a great buzz with other couples and a chance to sample some lovely food by their very talented chef! Dean and the hotel made sure our day had everything we wanted, no questions asked. The private entrance for the reception is perfect, something a lot of other hotels do not have! This reception room leads straight into the ballroom for dinner, so no delay in guests moving across. The food was absolutely fantastic and plenty of it, all of our guests were delighted with the food and service they received. Guests never had to ask for anything as staff were coming round with extra gravy, potatoes, veg etc. The bar staff were great, it was never empty and they were always very busy but no one waited long for a drink. The bridal suite is lovely and the champagne breakfast really tops it off, I recommend staying a second night to make use of the spa facilities as we did, they were also excellent. The day after we had a buffet in the bar for a few people that had stayed over, this was fabulous, I would highly recommend this, pizza, goujons, sausages and chips, plenty to go around once again. Dean is amazing at what he does, he responds very quickly to any emails and provides solutions to any bumps along the way. He was so dedicated to the sure we had the best day, I would do it all over again and change nothing!

We had our wedding on NYE 22, from the moment we booked the hillgrove everything was plain sailing they looked after all the details - Breda in accommodation, our vendors which they recommended which were brilliant and food tasting was also a lovely experience. Dean our co ordinator was brilliant he was always so responsive, accommodating and friendly in all our encounters and always on the other end of the phone when we needed him. The week and the day of the wedding was no different - all our guests raved about the drinks reception which was more than we could have anticipated, the food, ballroom and overall service we couldn?t have asked for any more. The next day our guests relaxed in the reception and enjoyed some food until late afternoon. The hotel is so family friendly and nothing was an issue. I would highly recommend booking your wedding in this venue it was all we could have asked for our special day ??

Firstly the venue was excellent upon first viewing. We instantly knew the Hill Grove was the only location for our wedding. Dean the in house planner made us instantly feel comfortable and offered the perfect advice in a very professional manner. Absolutely everything we asked for was catered for in one way or another. I really cannot pick any faults in the Hill Grove including the planning, the actual wedding day, the guest rooms and the excellent breakfast served the morning after.

We cannot thank Dean enough for all he done for us on the lead up and on the day of our wedding. We had moved our wedding forward and undecided with dates at times and yet Dean was very understanding and helpful and had put my mind at ease when I decided to go ahead with our wedding day in October just past in June this year, it was a short space of time for planning and organising everything but I never felt under pressure or stressed as Dean had everything under control and listened to what we wanted for our special day. The staff at the hotel where just amazing on the day and we can't thank them enough. The food was a big talking point among out guests who where blown away by each course and the service was just second to none. Dean is just an amazing person who is wonderful at his job and a delight to deal with no job is too big or too small. I would highly recommend The Hillgrove Hotel for their wedding day and there is nothing I can fault or that I would change about my own special day it just was the best day ever.

We first met Dean in February 2021 when we got engaged. We had looked at a few hotels already and the minute we met Dean we just knew he was the person we wanted to help us with our day. From day one he went out of his way to accommodate us, there were never any issues and there was always clear communication from day one. We never felt stressed or pressured at all during the wedding planning process. We set our date for October 2022 and all went perfectly. The food was amazing, everyone had so many compliments on how good the food was, just top class service. Dean himself on the day was brilliant also, helped us feel relaxed and looked after everything behind the scenes. We just knew we were in good hands. Everything we asked for was done at 110% we wouldn?t change one thing about the day. We would 100% recommend the Hillgrove. They do an amazing job, every single one of them from the waiters, kitchen and bar staff, we couldn?t be happier with how the day went.

We had our magical wedding day in the Hillgrove Hotel on Friday the 30th of September 2022. It was a dream come true all thanks to Dean and his wonderful team. The help and support we received from Dean throughout our whole wedding journey was amazing. Dean ensured our wedding experience was stress free as possible as he was always available to help and reassure us with any worries and issues that occurred. It is difficult to put into words to justify how amazing The Hillgrove Hotel and team are.
I envy any couples considering this venue as their option for their wedding, simply because I?d love to do it all over again!
We initially booked our big day pre-covid and as a result, we?re faced with changing dates, restrictions and sadly the hotel closing their doors due to government guidelines. We rescheduled our date to 30/04/22 (with absolutely no issue) and had our amazing day.
From start to finish Dean, our wedding co-ordinator was exceptional. His real passion for his job is so evident from your first meeting right through to the big day. The food & service was unreal. People were commenting on how they never had to blow there soup to cool it at a wedding before.

The most perfect venue if your looking for elegance. Both the ceremony room & function room are bright & classy. Drinks reception bar is separate and is also decorated to classy standard. Dean the wedding coordinator is an absolute gentleman to deal with. Nothing he won?t do to make your day as special as you dream. Always on hand when needed a pleasure to deal with. Wow what a wedding we had at the hillgrove hotel. We had seen images posted on Instagram by weddings online of the venue an fell head over heels. We booked a show around with their wedding co-ordinator Dean and we were immediately sold. Not only was the venue exactly the place i dreamed about, but Dean was the complete package. Dean made everything so easy from start to finish. Every single detail he had to perfection from table dressing, reception drink area even down to making sure my dress train was perfect when walking down the aisle. Not one single job was too big a task for him. Dean was always immediately responsive throughout our whole process from booking to wedding day and even after. Booking the hillgrove you will not be disappointed especially if dean is there to look after you.

Dean was just fantastic from the very first meeting we had with him and the emails and phone calls which followed, literally nothing was too much trouble !! Dean is a genuinely lovely person and made the whole process so easy for us. He had everything covered, down to the tiniest detail on the day which took away the stress and worry from us, meaning we could throughly enjoy our wedding. The Hillgrove Hotel is so beautiful and the banquet room is just stunning. The bedrooms were spotless and the bridal suite was fantastic. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The meal at our wedding was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it !! All of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed their meal. Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and more !! Everything ran so smoothly and went exactly how we wanted it thanks to Dean and his fantastic team. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Hillgrove Hotel to other couples considering it as their wedding venue. Best decision ever !!!

We had our wedding reception at the hillgrove hotel and it was perfection. Dean was absolutely amazing. There was no request that was too big or too small for him. From start to finish every step of the way he was there to take our calls and answer our emails. Dean gave us a few great ideas also which we used on our day and they were amazing. Can honestly say only for him our day would not have been the same. The venue itself was just outstanding with great detail put into everything. Lots of great places around the grounds for pictures also.

We had our wedding in The Hillgrove Hotel a few weeks ago and it was honestly the most perfect day! From the first moment that we met the hotel team, they stood out from all the rest, and throughout the decision-making process for our venue, we just kept coming back to The Hillgrove.
Our coordinator, Dean Coyne, and all the staff are so lovely, friendly, attentive and accommodating, and they made the whole process so enjoyable and relaxed. No ask was too big or small, and they made everyone feel at home for the couple of days we were there.
You get amazing value for money, and everything Dean and his team do is with the client very much at the forefront. Dean also does a wonderful job of ensuring that the day runs as smoothly as possible, and the staff really look after the guests and make sure that every need is catered to.
The hotel is a beautiful venue, and the team decorate it so wonderfully with the hotel's own decor, so much so that we had to get very little of our own decor. Everything is located in the one section of the hotel, and is completely separate to the rest of the hotel guests so it almost feels like your own private venue which is so nice!
Our guests were blown away by the service provided by this hotel, and we ourselves could not speak highly enough about it. We had our wedding just 3 days ago in the hilgrove. To say it was amazing was an understatement!!! From the first day we met Dean anything we asked of him it was always "yes! No problem." He went above and beyond for us and we can't thank him enough. The staff the food are all top notch , I guarantee anyone who visits the hotel and meets dean will not be disappointed and will find it hard for anyone to do better . I have no idea where to being to describe our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel. It was more than I ever could imagined. From the initial meeting at a wedding fair and then right through to the wedding itself it was just a fantastic and a well supported journey.

The team on the day, from the set up team to the serving team, are all so helpful and friendly. Our guests still love talking about it, and obviously we love hearing about it, but everyone said the same ? how amazing the hotel and its team was. If I was to have my wedding all over again I would be back to the Hillgrove time and time again. We are both so blessed we found this venue and we both feel the same way. Thanks again for such happy memories that will last a lifetime.

We would like to start off with how beautiful the Hillgrove Hotel is , this was our 4th venue to visit, when we walked through the doors into reception we instantly had a great feeling for this hotel.
Our wedding day from start to finish was everything we wanted and more!
This was all down to Dean our wedding coordinator and his wonderful team, everything we wished for we got with no issues which made our experience even better, compared to other venues that we visited first the Hillgrove Hotel just offered us so much more and we just knew before leaving on our first visit that this was the perfect venue for us.
We got married on 27th July 2022 and this was our 4th date due to Covid restrictions, every date was changed with no problems and everything went so smoothly.
Dean kept in contact with us regularly to make sure everything was in place and how we wanted it , our guests were delighted with the service and everyone commented on how beautiful the food was.
That day when we arrived Dean met us with a red carpet laid out and helped us out of the wedding car and handed us champagne which instantly made us feel welcome then for photos Dean lifted my veil up in the air and made it look like the wind was blowing it which was a lovely touch for our photos.
We also extended our stay and had our day after the wedding in the hotel with music and a buffet for a few family and friends and this was great not having to pack up the next morning, the next day was great to catch up with everyone it was nice and relaxing again all down to the service of the hotel.
So thanks again to the Hillgrove Hotel, Dean and his team for making our special day a dream day it was amazing! X

The Hillgrove is a beautiful hotel, a lovely setting for a wedding. The separate entrance to the function room makes for a lovely entrance in for the couple with a relaxed reception and bar area. The hotel was very good value for money, particularly compared to many hotels in N.I. We had so many compliments from guests about the quality of food and staff were on hand offering seconds (and thirds!), ensuring guests were very well fed and watered. The service from staff was excellent and anyone we encountered were friendly and helpful. On top of all that the real highlight for us was our co ordinator, Dean. He was full of advice, practical, sensible, genuinely enthusiastic, accommodating, a down right nice guy and a pleasure to work with. Overall we couldn't have asked for a better experience and our dealings with the hotel were the easiest part of organising our wedding. Would absolutely recommend the Hillgrove hotel as a wedding venue to anyone.

We had our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel on the 16th of July 2022 and it was hands down the best day ever. Throughout the whole planning process Dean was always a great help for any queries we had, big or small. Dean really went above and beyond with everything and made our day perfect. We couldn?t praise him enough for the work and effort he put into our day. In fact the entire staff in the Hillgrove were fantastic. They were so attentive to our guests and helped the day run as smoothly as it did. We have to give a special mention to the food!! All we can say was the dinner was first class, all of our guests were raving about the meal. We stayed the following day and had dinner in PK?s Bar and the food there was also exceptional. I would definitely recommend the Hillgrove to anyone looking for a wedding venue. Thanks again to Dean and all the staff at the Hillgrove. We had our wedding in the hillgrove Hotel and Spa booked from 2018. With covid we postponed from 2021 to 2022. With changing dates Dean was so helpful and always prompt at answering all calls and emails. We had our day on 15th July 2022 and it was the best day ever. Hotel was so accomdating especially with the majority of our wedding party staying. The food was outstanding, attention to detail was second to none and most importantly Dean was there throughout making sure everything went seamlessly. It honestly was the best day and all our guest commented on how fantastic the hillgrove Hotel was. We've had many say it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Where do we begin. From the first time visiting the hotel myself and Maria were made so welcome upon arrival, we were shown around the whole hotel from hotel lobby reception room, honeymoon suite to our resident bar. Nothing was left out and after a 2 hour show round and a relaxed sit down chat we felt nothing was forced upon us, they listened to our needs and desires. Upon leaving that first walk around we knew we had found our hotel. Without hesitation we placed a deposit and one sentence that stuck with me was Dean (our wedding coordinator) saying "We work for you now". That meant alot as it felt like Dean and the Hillgrove wanted to be part of our wedding and not just a wedding venue.
From countless emails regarding wedding prep, Dean made even the smallest details achievable to help make our day that extra bit special. He helped ease our stress and worries and honestly without his help and guidance we wouldn't have got the perfect day.
To the venue, the hotel is so welcoming from when your greeted at reception, to the bar staff and the staff in the restaurant. The wedding reception room was nothing sort of spectacular, we had a vision of how we wanted the room and Dean delivered it, the room can be designed and catered to all different needs, it deff is worth seeing. The reaction of our guests proved this as everyone commented on how stunning the room was.
We included a second day of celebrating to our weekend, and the attention to detail was as high a standard as it was for our wedding day. The staff catered to our needs and went the extra mile to securing extra bedrooms and putting on extra food for our buffet.
There are many hotels that will take a wedding, but I can honestly say from the heart that not one of them will cater or go that extra mile for you than the Hillgrove,
And Dean our wedding coordinator, he is so passionate about his job, and I repeat how well he made us feel leading up to our wedding and how he gave us the day we wanted. I can honestly say we have made a special friendship with him. Thank you for everything Dean.

Due to covid we had to re-arrange our wedding. So when we contacted The Hillgrove to see if they could accommodate our wedding in 2022, we were delighted they had a date that suited us. The Hillgrove would be local to both our families, so we knew the level of service we would receive. We met with Dean various times before our wedding and the advice and recommendations he gave us really put our mind at ease. He was amazing from start to finish on our wedding day. All we can say is WOW . From the first moment seeing the ball room set up for a wedding showcase we both fell in love with the thought of having our wedding there and booked our special day there and then .Without the professionalism Of Dean ( Wedding Planning Manger ) and his team our big day would not have went as smooth as it did . Dean was available 24/7 and always at the end of the phone if needed. He has great attention to detail and made sure every request we had was followed through. Our guests commented on how nice Dean was and brilliant at his job , an absolute credit to the hotel . We formed a special bond from the offset , he has a bright and bubbly personality and makes you feel totally at ease. He was amazing on the day in keeping us both calm and collected before the ceremony .He went above and beyond his duties in saving the bride from a total meltdown over a blunder noticed late into the evening the night before and saved the day ! A member of his staff Chris even offered to drive 1.5hrs away and get something needed , an unbelievably kind gesture from her and very much appreciated. The food was delicious and plenty of it , our guests were still talking about it the next day and couldn't compliment the chef enough. The service was fast and without fault and a special credit to Evelyn whom served the top table , she was extremely helpful and a pleasure to chat to .

If your looking for a hotel to take your stress away the hillgrove is the only place to go from the minute we met Dean the wedding coordinator everything was a breeze he was on hand for anything we needed even down to the day itself he took on new challenges such as fixing my veil for me and was there to sort any thing we needed !! I cannot recommend Dean enough to help organise your dream day he made our day run so smoothly and no task was too much for him !! family members commented numerous times as to how helpful Dean was to everyone throughout the day aswell as he was literally ten steps ahead of us no matter what I asked even at one point I couldn't find my wedding shoes but Dean had them already under my seat at the top table so they wouldn't be lost all these little details that make your day run so well !!! the hotel itself was also amazing and people couldn't compliment the staff and the food enough as it was simply gorgeous !!! will forever be grateful to Dean and the hillgrove staff for helping us celebrate our dream day

We got married in the Hilgrove on the 2nd April 2022. We had such an amazing day it couldn?t of gone any better. Everything from the staff the service every detail the food everything was just amazing. Especially Dean from the day we booked our wedding right up to the day he was such a great help, if I was stressing or needed help with anything he was just a message away and responded asap.

Absolute top class service from both Dean and the team in the hillgrove. Still a month on and everyone complimenting the food and service provided. We cannot thank the Hillgrove Hotel enough but particularly Dean Coyne for all the help in organising our wedding day. Having had to postpone it for a year due to the pandemic, Dean really put us at ease and reassured us with all the organising. We were accommodated with all our requests and ideas. There was always someone at the other end of an email or phone whenever we had a question. It truly was a day that we will remember for the rest of our lives. It's hard to express in a few words just how amazing Dean and the Hillgrove team are. Dean dedicated so much of his time (even outside working hours) to keep me calm and relaxed through our whole wedding journey. It?s near impossible to put one of the most important days of your life into someone?s hands but we knew with the Hillgrove Hotel it would be completely safe. We had initially booked our wedding with a different hotel however after attending a wedding fayre at the hillgrove we knew we just had to have our wedding here. The hotel itself is so beautiful however the staff here 1000% make it. Dean Coyne is the most incredible wedding co-ordinatior we have ever met. No matter what we needed big or small and time of the day he was there emailing back even the most silliest questions were not a bother! Dean made our day 100% He is an incredible asset to the wedding industry and goes above and beyond his call of duty every single day. The hillgrove provided us with the most beautiful meal and everyone was commenting on how beautiful the meal was and there was plenty of food to go around which is always a plus! Even some of our kids changed their minds last minute but Dean was on the ball getting everything sorted for them straight away which was a beautiful touch. We literally felt like the most important people in the world that day and that?s all thanks to Dean and all the wonderful staff at the Hillgrove hotel. I?m still very emotional writing this because I would absolutely love to do this all again! It really is the fastest day of your life but with the Hillgrove there is no stress!

From start to finish the hill grove was a dream venue for us, nothing was ever to much for them. The room was absolutely perfect in ever way, the meal is still being talked about by our guests as the best meal they have EVER had at a wedding, we had booked another venue but straight away booked the hill grove after attending there wedding open day and speaking with them, Dean is an absolute credit to the hill grove, he was always there to answer all our stupid questions we had and never once made us feel anything other than the most important couple in the world, Dean made our day totally unforgettable and we will always be great full to him and the hill grove hotel for everything they did for us, without a doubt this is the wedding venue of the year and Dean is one of a kind!

Our wedding was a week ago and we still have the biggest smiles on our faces, the Hillgrove Hotel in Monaghan was a fantastic venue, we got engaged in 2019 and quickly realised the Hillgrove was the place we wanted to get married, we chose the I do all inclusive package which included a band and DJ, photographer, cake, flowers and all the extras from the hotel. Firstly let me say that our band Vertigo and photographer Manuel Lavery were simply fantastic and without recommendation from the hotel we would have never known about them. As for service in the Hillgrove Dean is fantastic everytime we went down to the hotel for whatever reason he was there to welcome us, keep us calm through Covid and really made it a personal experience it was like we were the only bride and groom he was working with, he gave fantastic guidance and advice and it was an absolute pleasure the work with him, we really can't praise Dean enough he is a real asset to the Hillgrove Hotel and we can honestly say he made our wedding experience the best it could have been, the day of our wedding was the best day, food, service and personal touches left by Dean and the amazing team in the Hillgrove was flawless. All our guests simply said it was the best wedding and everyone had an amazing time. You can't get any better value for money and this was a hotel that is more interested in creating a magical day for their brides and grooms no matter what your budget is, the only wedding venue i have seen that includes everything from chair covers, centerpieces, light up love sign and even a Cherry Blossom tree for the table plan, simply FANTASTIC!!! Thank you so much Dean and the Hillgrove Team!!

Myself and my husband recently celebrated our wedding reception in the Hillgrove Hotel, Monagahan. We had the best experience and I honestly can't thank Dean and the staff at the hotel enough for making our day so perfect. Like most couples, we were supposed to get married in 2020. We chose The Hillgrove the day we viewed it, the room was spectacular, the all inclusive package covered everything we hoped our day would have, and we got a really amazing discount for taking one of the last available dates for that year. When covid struck and it began to sink in that we were going to have to postpone, we were devastated. That's when Dean stepped in (taking over from our origional wedding coordinator) and what a life saver he was. He underst9od our needs for pushing back (we had a number of high risk family and friends), he listened to what we wanted to get out of the day and he understood all our concerns. He kept in touch with us regularly over the next year, meeting with us when he could. He accommodated late number changes and made recommendations we would have never thought of. Even up to the week before our wedding the government were still making announcements (good ones thankfully) and Dean coped with it all (and kept us sane). The sun shone on the day, but if it hadn't have, Dean had two entrances arranged for us, one covered and one uncovered. He kept everything running like clockwork so we could sit back, enjoy and take it all in. Our guests are still raving about how beautiful the food was and the staff on the day were just fantastic, so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I honestly couldn't recommend The Hillgrove Hotel and Dean highly enough. They are truly superb at what they do. Thank you so much Dean and the team, for giving us the best day of our lives and for all your help and support throughout. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.

We had the most fantastic experience with the Hillgrove Hotel wedding team, namely Dean Coyne. We booked our wedding in April 2021 for September 2021 which was a relatively short period of time for planning. From the very first day we were by to the Hillgrove to book our wedding there, which was a civil wedding and full reception, the staff were so professional and explained every detail so clearly, they left no questions unanswered, we were shown the function room, the civil ceremony room, both laid out immaculately and beautiful, we were shown the new garden, full choice menus which even catered for dietary requirements, everything was made so clear to us and the Hillgrove staff, namely Enda and Dean, both fully worked with us for our wedding, alongside the wedding celebrant, florists and cake maker, due to corolabola Govt restrictions and because of the restrictions, the Hillgrove staff namely Enda and Dean actually gave us for our day a lot of extra decorations and features to make the civil ceremony, entry hall and reception room even more fantastic and beautifully decorated, thank you all so much, we were to have our wedding last year but had to postpone it till this year, that was no problem to them at all, the govt restrictions still placed a limit on us, of 50 guests and no live music, Enda and Dean played trumps with us by organising the Spotify playlist made by the band we had booked, to be played both at the civil ceremony and after the wedding meal, that really made the nigh for us, the food was fantastic, so thanks to the chefs and the banquet staff for amazing service, choices, efficiency and prices, all were brilliant, the rooms for guests and the bridal suite were all to class, the professionalism of Enda and Dean with all thier help and guidance was unreal and without them, we were pule have been lost, they even kept the flowers in a fridge!!!!
Who ever is thinking of booking the Hillgrove for thier wedding, don't dare bypass them as you will regret it, they only complaint we had was, it's an awful pity you guys didn't have Hillgrove Hotel over the past few years, it's now a truly amazing hotel under management of INUA hotels and well turned around and decorated top to bottom, with amazing staff and excellent prices, compared to its previous owners, in fact I'd love to work there

We had the most amazing wedding day and weekend at the hillgrove hotel. Mary and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic. They made us feel like nothing was too much to ask and the attention to detail was very much appreciated. Mary has such a lovely calm approachable Manor and I knew our day was in great hands from the beginning, she really knows her stuff!! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The ballroom we chose for both our ceremony and reception was just newly refurbished to a high standard with its own entrance and drinks reception area, extremely handy for us as we decided to go ahead in the middle of a pandemic. Both myself and my husband and all our guests felt the hotel took all the necessary steps to keep us safe and protected. Our day was just dreamy!!! I cannot recommend having your wedding in this venue enough. It was an absolute delight!

Seriously can not recommend this hotel enough! We booked for May and had to reschedule to Sep due to covid 19 but they were beyond accomodating and helpful!
We finally had our day on the 4th of September and it was absolutely amazing. Mary,Enda and all the staff couldn't have done more to ensure that we had the best day ever, which we absolutely did! The wedding packages are fantastic value and the food and service was something else! The function room is just stunning, everyone commented on it!
Special thanks to Breda and Sharon for their help in booking all the rooms and liasing with us throughout lock down and as mentioned thanks so much to Mary & Enda for not only ensuring our day ran smoothly but for really going above and beyond!

Our wedding in the Hillgrove hotel was an absolutely excellent experience.
The hotel staff were superb from the minute we walked in the door to speak to the wedding planners when we were researching wedding venues, all the way through to the minute we left on the day after our wedding.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, all our needs were expertly looked after, and the quality of the rooms, the decor, the foyer, the wedding reception rooms etc., was all superb.
On the day of the wedding itself, we were expertly managed by the experienced staff, and the food and service were top notch.
There was not one complaint from any of our guests (240 people),so we are delighted with the hotel, and are totally comfortable with recommending it to other couples who are looking for a great wedding venue.

We had our wedding in the Hillgrove Hotel on Saturday 12th October. We can not recommend Mary, Enda & the staff enough, they totally went over & beyond for us and our guests.
From we first met up with Mary last year, nothing was a problem. She is a fantastic woman to deal with and extremely precise in everything she does.
We never had a doubt that the hotel would be able to cater for our 400 guests with absolute perfection and they really pulled out all the stops to make our day so perfect and memorable.

We recently had our wedding reception in the Hillgrove hotel. Was such a fabulous venue. From the d?cor to the wonderful picturesque gardens. The staff were friendly approachable and went the extra mile to ensure that our day went smoothly and kept to the schedule. The service for our meal was exceptional the food was delicious and most important hot on delivery. The bridal suite was beautiful and there hairdressing service was brilliant and good value for money. It is a wonderful hotel to visit and lovely place to eat highly recommend it

The Hillgrove is absolutely amazing!! Myself and my husband went back in 2016 to have a look and from we met Mary and seen the room everything was perfect. 3years in advance booking everything. Mary was in touch all the time making sure everything was well especially with the arrival of our?daughter. The few months leading up to our wedding Mary was on the ball with everything and the communication was brilliant anything I needed or wanted she sorted!! On arrival of our wedding the welcome we got from Mary&Enda was phenomenal!! The way everything was displayed was absolutely beautiful!! My guests never stopped talking about the amount of bubbly,beer and food on arrival and it all tasted amazing, even the selection of food for my coeliac relatives they were amazed!! Then the dinner unbelievable the food was out of this world as always and yet again my guests couldn't get over how wonderful everything was and the amount of seconds.... The whole hotel, staff, food even the decor (what made me love the hotel) is simply amazing everything was completed to perfection exactly how I wanted our special day to go!!!?

We recently had our wedding at The Hillgrove, 30/08/2019. I can not recommend The Hilgrove Hotel enough. The staff, the food, the location, the venue - everything was amazing, could not have asked for better. Mary our wedding coordinator was amazing, she could not have done more for us! The whole experience with The Hillgrove was very hassel free, and relaxed which is what a bride wants. The venue suited everyone, families, friends, young and old - they have facilities for everyone. I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Hillgrove to any future Bride and Grooms. The entire service was absolutely excellent from quality of the service and food, to the welcome and the setup. Mary, Enda and the entire team made us feel so relaxed and welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed every second of our day. The food was incredible and all our guests (many of whom travelled from England) commented on how welcome they felt over the whole weekend. Nothing was too much trouble and throughout our entire reception everything was so in hand by the staff that both myself and my husband barely left the dancefloor and we got to enjoy every second of our evening with our guests - which was exactly what we wanted. If I were to do it all over again the only thing I would change would be to make it last even longer!

We had our wedding here on the 15/6/19 and honestly couldn?t have picked a Better venue, from the get go mary , enda and all staff couldn?t do enough for us. They accomadated us for our every need nothing couldn?t be done. Everything ran so smoothly on the day timing was on point which took a lot of pressure off our shoulders. The food was to die for all the quest couldn?t get over it and there was defiantly no shortage on the day some people even had seconds and thirds we also did a photo shoot in the new wedding gardens and they turned out fabulous would highly recommend this place to future couples thinking of booking here you honestly won?t be disappointed. We had quiet a few quest stay over as we weren?t from Monaghan and everyone commented on the standards of the rooms and beds top quality hotel.

I had my civil ceremony and reception in the Hilgrove Hotel Monaghan. From the first meeting Mary and Enda were amazing so helpful and keen to make sure we had the best day. Where to start!! We had the most amazing day at the Hillgrove Hotel Monaghan for our wedding on 3rd May! Our wedding coordinator Mary was amazing from we initially visited the hotel back in September 2017 right through to our wedding day! She literally could not do enough for you, she honestly made my wedding planning experience quite relaxed and never once did I panic about anything in relation to the venue! Mary had everything covered which made our day run so smoothly!! I could not recommend Mary & her team highly enough as wedding coordinators for you big day! In the venue itself we used the Rembrandt Suite for our wedding ceremony and the Van Gough Suite for the reception. Both were decorated impeccably - we could not have been happier with the layout of the rooms, the decorations and the ambience as a whole was amazing!! The food was delicious, we heard nothing but good reports about the food and everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals! The staff were second to none! We had quite a big wedding with 194 guests and throughout the food service and evening buffet the staff were fantastic, they were friendly, approachable and efficient!! Special shout out to Moulay, Evelyn, Geraldine and Aleksandra who were fantastic on both our wedding day and the bbq celebrations the day after!! Our wedding guests are still talking about our wedding and how amazing the Hillgrove as a venue was which is testament in itself to the service we received! I honestly could not recommend the Hillgrove highly enough for any upcoming wedding!! You will not be disappoint

The decor of the hotel is just beautiful already but on the day with all our chair covers and silver bows provided by the hotel it looked top class. The food was to die for and we are still getting compliments about it. Not to mention the amazing room service breakfast wE recieved the in the Bridal Suite the next morning!!! Everything went so smoothly and Mary the hotels wedding co-ordinator made us feel so at ease knowing she had everything under control. We celebrated our wedding in The Hillgrove Hotel earlier this year and we had Thee Perfect Day. The wedding team lead by Mary and Enda couldn't have done enough. We had our wedding in the hillgrove hotel on the 30th March, we could not recommend this hotel enough. We dealt with Mary all throughout our wedding planning she went above and beyond to make our day so special. The food was top class and the staff were excellent. We still have people telling us the food, staff and band were excellent and they had a great day. It is a real family hotel and as we already have a child we were looking to keep him entertained on the day also,Mary organised a bouncy castle and it was fully supervised by two wonderful staff members. We had our wedding in the hillgrove hotel on the 30th March, we could not recommend this hotel enough. We dealt with Mary all throughout our wedding planning she went above and beyond to make our day so special. The food was top class and the staff were excellent. We still have people telling us the food, staff and band were excellent and they had a great day. It is a real family hotel and as we already have a child we were looking to keep him entertained on the day also,Mary organised a bouncy castle and it was fully supervised by two wonderful staff members. We had our wedding here in February(2019) and it was amazing. I couldn't say enough good things about our wedding coordinator Mary. She was fantastic from the very first meeting and nothing was too much trouble. As well as being excellent at her job she is a genuinely lovely person and made the whole process so easy and had everything covered on the day which took away any stress for us and meant we could enjoy it properly. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are spotless and very spacious and the bridal suite was fantastic. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it and all of our guests have commented on how much they enjoyed their meal.
Our wedding was everything we wanted it to be and everything ran so smoothly and went exactly how we wanted it thanks to Mary and her team. We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Hillgrove Hotel to other couples considering it as their wedding venue.

We had our wedding here and what can we say but WOW!
We dealt mostly with Mary such a pleasant and professional way with her. Any questions she was quick in getting back to us! Nothing was any trouble.
The hotel is beautiful. We had our wedding in the Van Gough room which has its own private entrance. The place was set up beautifully.
The food was unreal!! Everyone was talking about how delicious the meal was!

Had our wedding in the Hillgrove last month and I can honestly say I cannot recommend this hotel enough! On the day everything was fantastic- the room was set up beautifully, the service we received was second to none and the meal was just to die for! Before our big day we had the help of the fabulous Mary who did her best to help with any and all questions that we had (and believe me that was a lot!!)
We were the first wedding to be photographed in the new wedding gardens and we are delighted with our photographs! Brilliant to have such a nice spot right outside the hotel so you don't have to go away to get photos taken and end up missing out on more of the big day.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hillgrove to any engaged couples as the quality of service from all of the hotel staff we got was phenomenal, our special day went off without a hitch and we are still getting comments from guests of it being "the best wedding they have been at", our delicious wedding meal is still getting talked about too! We had our wedding in this hotel on the 28th December! If your thinking about booking do it!! Mary the wedding co-ordinator is an absolute wee gem! Nothing was ever too much hassle including my one million emails! The whole planning process was a breeze with Mary we left boxes of supplies in the hotel the night before and Mary had all perfectly laid out for our arrival. She was there to greet us on arrival and ensure that our day ran smooth! Mary ensured that we kept to our timescale for the day and therefore allowed us to enjoy the evening party of our wedding! The food was absolutely top class! Our guests are still raving about the food and the fantastic service which was provided on the day! The champagne breakfast the next day was more than enjoyable! Cannot recommend these guys enough. Mary was our wedding coordinator. Nothing was any trouble for her. She was absolutely fantastic. Anything we wanted or needed she made sure it was seen to at the drop of a hat. A beautiful person inside and out she really couldn?t do enough for us . I had lots of little extra bits that I wanted added in and she made sure all was looked after. The staff are fantastic. The moment I walked into our reception room it took my breath away. It was laid out to perfection and was so much more beautiful than I could have imagined. The food was impeccable. The bar and waiting staff was always on hand to tend to everyone?s needs. My guests are still talking about the great day they had and most of that was down to this superb venue.

So delighted to have had our wedding here. We won 1st prize in a fabulous competition where we received ?5000 towards our wedding in 2018. We were helped along the journey by 2 brilliant wedding co-ordinators Mary and Enda. Our day ran so smoothly from arriva till late into the night. We loved the recently refurbished decor and the space to enjoy a large wedding. The food was exceptional and we were provided with a great choice. From start to finish our experience with the Hillgrove could not be faulted. They fulfilled every request we had without question and were always available to answer any queries we may have had. Mary, our wedding co-ordinator ensured that the day ran smoothly and everything could not have been more perfect. The food and service was exceptional and all the guests were of the same opinion. From when we first stepped into the Hillgrove, it was always first class. So welcoming, family friendly and a lovely relaxed atmosphere! We had our wedding here in August 2018 and we loved every minute of it! The wedding coordinator Mary give everything 200% to make our day run so smoothly. Not just for the bridal party but for everyone attending the wedding! We really had a fantastic customer experience with the Hotel and certainly would recommend it for any event! Every single person that attended the wedding had a great day and spoke so highly of the hotel, the staff, the food and the service!

We held our wedding on 4th August 2018 in the Van Gogh suite in the Hillgrove Hotel. From the minute we got out of our limo we were taken care of. Enda is a gentleman who is excellent at his job. The staff in the Hillgrove are outstanding, nothing is ever a bother. Mary and Enda are both excellent and a pleasure to deal with, both made my experience an easy and delightful one. The room was absolutely stunning exactly what I wanted. Our guests all commented on how good the food and the service they received from the staff. Everyone was eating at the same time so no waiting around. I would recommend the Hillgrove for a wedding and I wish I could do mine all over again. The Hillgrove was the perfect venue for our wedding reception. The staff are extremely friendly, the function room was a perfect size and set up. When we first started wedding planning and viewing venues I felt the experience very overwhelming. But when we viewed the Hillgrove and met with the wedding coordinator we knew the venue was for us, she had such experience planning and coordinating weddings she put us at ease. We opted for the wedding package the Hillgrove offered which was great value for money and put us in contact with high-quality local suppliers.
Mary the wedding coordinator was a pleasure to work with and nothing was too much to ask from her, she was always willing to go that extra mile to make our day perfect and what we wanted. Our guests loved the venue, raved about the food which was delicious!

Could not fault this hotel from start to finish. Everything was no problem to them. Every request was handled perfectly and the pricing was superb. We really couldn't find better value for money anywhere. Fell in love with the hotel from we first arrived. The food was amazing. What can I say...just wow!! From the very first moment we came to the Hillgrove as a possible venue we were blown away!! The hotel is decorated to such a high standard, the staff are amazing..so so helpful and the food is fabulous!! We booked straight away and it was the best decision we made hands down. Mary & her team couldn't do enough for us, so helpful, professional and calmed me down at the later stages of planning when I started to fuss over the small stuff. All of our guests loved the food on the wedding day, including some people that are notoriously hard to please!! We had a lot of guests stay over on the wedding night and all reviews were positive the next day which was great to hear. Another note is that my brother with severe disabilities was treated like a King that day, the staff couldn't do enough to help out and that for me was the icing on the cake. Can't wait for our next visit..hopefully, get a weekend away soon!! Highly recommend to all brides in the booking stage...you won't regret it!!

Absolutely, without doubt the best wedding venue in Ireland! Mary and all the staff catered to our every need! No matter what we asked it was not a problem! The food was amazing, the service was 5* and the hotel itself was immaculate! Everything was fantastic, every request I had was never a problem. We sat 309 guests and everyone was delighted with the food and service on the day. We had hot whiskeys and mini burgers on arrival which went down a treat :) People still talk about our wedding which is great, unfortunately when all is over that's all you have left, is that all your guests had a great day. Thank you to all the staff!

Mary Quigley our wedding coordinator was exceptional and she covered all the little details that made our day perfect! Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Linda was our coordinator and nothing was too much hassle. We were organising our wedding from over seas and the flexibility that the Hillgrove had for us when it came to appointments was unbelievable. They know exactly what they are doing and they do it brilliantly, complete experts and can assist with any extras. The food...our guests raved about the food, the quality and the quantity is fantastic. Couldn't have asked for better.

Myself & husband Kevin got married in the Hillgrove on 31.12.16 with a huge thanks to Mary. We had the best day ever & through our the whole prep Mary & the Hillgrove were just superb. No task was any bother to them. Would 150% recommend the Hillgrove from the food (amazing) to the decor to the helpfulness. Honestly we haven't a bad word to say. I just wish we could re do it all again! Anything we needed from bands to cake suppliers they helped us out with everything. We can't wait to come back & stay again.

Where do I even begin writing a review about our wedding at The Hillgrove - words will never be able to express how unforgettable and beautiful our wedding day was.
Being from Monaghan originally and living in London, my husband and I knew that a central venue in Monaghan was exactly what we wanted. Although we considered other options, as soon as we met Dean and saw the hotel, we instantly knew that this would be our be wedding venue.
Dean was extremely accommodating and genuine from the very start. He showed us package options, talked us through the day and made us feel like VIPs.
We were worried about planning our wedding from London, but Dean made this the easiest part of our planning process. He was available whenever we needed from Zoom calls, to emails to phone conversations- his service was second to none.
Dean and his team worked around our travel schedule and accommodated us for menu tastings and planning in the lead up to the big day.
Dean is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and honestly the best in the business.
No problem was too big or small, everything was dealt with professionally and instantly.
Our wedding meal was absolutely fabulous and no one went hungry during the day. Between the church and meal, Dean even offered to get me a toasted sandwich or anything else - just amazing service.
The bridal suite was beautiful and the champagne breakfast in bed the morning after was such a lovely touch.
A special mention to Breda who made booking rooms and communicated professionally during the whole process when sorting accommodation for our guests especially those from overseas - raving reviews from our guests.
Thank you to Caolan and Liz for making the bridal party entrances possible and for your help during the speeches and evening part of our wedding.
Everybody had the best few days and we had the most magical day of our life, a thank you will never be enough!
The Hillgrove Hotel will always have a huge place in our hearts.
