An idyllic setting, we are nestled by the peaceful shores of Lough Derg with spectacular lakeside views. Located in the twin towns of Ballina & Killaloe.

Your ceremony choices here at our Hotel are, outside on our Kincora Fountain Garden overlooking the Marina or in our Kinarra Terrace with stunning views of Lough Derg.
There are have several stunning picture prefect locations allowing your photographer to capture the special moments of your day.
Our Killaloe Room, an intimate wedding venue will accommodate 140 of your family & friends.
SERVICES OFFERED
The Hotels in-house wedding coordinator, Iddy will be on hand to provide guidance and assistance as you prepare for your day. Our Wedding packages can include a number of optional extras to make your day special, Candy Cart, Whiskey & Gin Bar.
Overnight accommodation are also available we have 35 bedrooms & 1 Apartment.

Killaloe hotel and Spa is a beautiful venue for a wedding. Iddy and the rest of her staff were so Easy to work with always available to us no matter what we needed and were happy to go through anything with us about our day no matter how small. From the day we booked our date to the day itself they were so helpful and amazing. On the day of the wedding itself iddy and the staff were so helpful and lovely and looked after us and our guests so well. The food was so good on the day of the wedding we have guests still talking about it 2 months later the portions and the quality of food was fantastic especially for a wedding when there is a large number of guests the food was still absolutely delicious and everyone recieved there meals together compliments to the chef and the waiting staff. The food for the cocktail reception and the evening finger food were all fantastic and no one had anything bad to say only loads of compliments about everything. The Venue itself is just beautiful we had our meal upstairs in the cocktail room looking out at the water and in the evening we came down to the ballroom all the the tables in both rooms were set up beautiful I couldn’t believe how stunning everything was it was exactly what we wanted. I couldn’t recommend the hotel enough to anyone that’s thinking about getting married there you wont be dissapointed and anyone I know that’s getting married and looking for a venue I have already recommended the hotel to them. I’m so glad we picked the Killaloe hotel and Spa for our wedding day the hotel made our dreams come to life it’s a day we will never forget and a special thanks to Iddy for being fantastic at what she does I couldn’t recommend her enough.

We had such an amazing day and time; our wedding was 100% perfect and that's because of the team at Killaloe Hotel and Spa. The management, the wedding coordinator, the hotel staff; every single person working in this space went out of their way to just make the day run so smoothly.
The food was amazing and the chef catered to all our dietary requests and presented us and our guests with some amazing options. The venue is cosy and it's the ideal space for an intimate wedding and ceremony. Our guests raved about it from start to finish and we couldn't have been happier with our choice.
We really want to acknowledge Iddy and Courtney who were just an absolute pleasure to work with and who really made the whole thing a breeze for us.
The food was amazing and the chef catered to all our dietary requests and presented us and our guests with some amazing options. The venue is cosy and it's the ideal space for an intimate wedding and ceremony. Our guests raved about it from start to finish and we couldn't have been happier with our choice.

Killaloe Hotel and Spa was the perfect spot for our wedding! The upstairs room for the ceremony with views over the lake was beautiful. The main room was the ideal size for our wedding. Iddy and the entire staff were great throughout, keeping everything running smoothly, everyone happy and making sure we didn't have to worry about anything.
We had a fantastic day and can't wait for more great days at Killaloe Hotel in the future!

From the moment we booked our wedding to the day and the days after the wedding iddy and the wedding team went above and beyond to make our day special. The food the decor all outstanding. I would highly recommend this beautiful hotel.

Killaloe Hotel and Spa was a fantastic venue for our wedding. The staff?are absolutely amazing?and made our?day so special. Iddy who managed and helped with organising the day was awesome too. We would definitely?recommend Killaloe Hotel and Spa. Our friends and family also loved the venue. 10/10?

We first visited Killaloe Hotel & Spa in January 2023 in the hope of securing the venue for our wedding 7 months later in August & it was all made possible thanks to Iddy & her team.
Our hope for the day was a less formal more intimate wedding and it was exactly that.
We had our ceremony upstairs in the Cocktail Bar which is a beautiful space with fantastic views of Kincora Harbour.
While we went for photos staff quickly turned the room around and we came back to a beautifully set table for our private family dinner.
Food was delicious and portions so generous. Most of us disappointingly couldnt finish dessert we were just too stuffed!
We then moved downstairs to the Main Room & Library where our guests were waiting to celebrate with us. We had set the Library up as a quieter space for guests along with teepees and games for the children (& some of the adults!)
In the main room we enjoyed live music & later a dj along with food drinks & dancing!
We even managed the get the bar staff on the dance floor for a finish.
The day was just so much fun.
Iddy was so helpful & attentive throughout the day, her & Jackie really helped make the day what it was.
All of the staff at the hotel on the day were friendly and fun,we wish we could do it all again!

Absolutely fantastic hotel for a wedding. The food was outstanding, the staff were so helpful and caring, the rooms were very clean and of course the views and local area was unbelievable. Catherine, the wedding planner was the best ever. She is such a professional person, knows her job and gave great advice. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a wedding.

The venue is made for a wedding, the Harbour at the back is perfect for photos and the glass window over looking at the reception area makes for a very intimate and special start the day post ceremony. The staff go above and beyond with every detail and request made possible and hotel/food and drinks were immaculate. Every plate was cleared at each course. Seat arrangements and sound quality for speeches were perfect the hotel also play my Playlist in the background which I really appreciated. The bar staff were on point throughout the whole day and night. The dance floor was plenty big and the sound of band and dj is ideal, not too low and not too loud. 10/10 in that regard. A special mention is need for the food tasting day and when they show you the venue first, they have alot of suggestions and recommendations which makes it alot easier to create and image the day unfolding. Last but not least the wedding coordinator idddy was fantastic from start to finish, we have special request for the themes and style we wanted. We had special dietary requests for certain guests and we had the most amazing special day and plan on returning to the hotel as much as we can.

We had our wedding at killaloe hotel and spa on 12th of May 2023. We had a civil ceremony outside and thankfully the weather was fabulous. The scenery outside was amazing and its a perfect location for an outside wedding if the weather is nice.
We found Iddy and the wedding coordinators very helpful and accommodating throughout the whole process. Ellen the room coordinator was very helpful in organising rooms for the guests to stay. We found all the wedding staff very helpful and friendly. The food was very nice. All the guests complimented the quality of the meal. We opted for the bar extension and the barman in the residents bar was great and served on till late. Our overall experience was very positive and all our guests had a brilliant day.
Reccomendations for improvement:
More experienced staff and more staff working at the bar as we felt at times service was slow.
Someone to greet and help bride with bags/wedding equipment coming through the door of the hotel as we felt that even though we were seen bringing in bags, nobody offered to help bring some of them to the room with us.
Improvements to the electrical outlets as the music cut out twice requiring at least 15/20 minutes to return back on again each time
Some staff at front of desk need training in hospitality

A hidden gem in southeast Clare with a stunning location next to Lough Derg, which provided a fantastic backdrop to our wedding photos. There is a spectacular view from the function room overlooking the harbour. The hotel provided us with a more personal and intimate setting, which is exactly what we were looking for in making our day special. Right from the start, nothing was ever an issue, and any request we made was met with enthusiasm by the team. Every staff member at the hotel from reception, bar, kitchen, management, wait staff, and everyone in between were attentive to our needs. No request was too big and handled with such professionalism. The food was incredible, and the dinner service ran seamlessly. The bridal suites and rooms for our guests were spacious, clean, and comfortable with treats on arrival. The level of service didn't just stop on our wedding day and continued into our 2nd day of celebrations with a relaxed BBQ in the cocktail bar. We were so happy with the entire experience that we are already planning our next function in the hotel with Iddy. We would highly recommend this top-notch venue to any couple planning their wedding.

We had an absolutely spectacular day we could'nt fault the hotel or the day. The girls and the staff were incredible and the food was out of this world. We are still getting compliments on how great of a day, how nice the staff are and how nice the food was.
One fault we received was from some of the wedding party who were staying in the hotel the night after the wedding were refused a drink at the bar the following night and given no reason as to why they were refused a quiet drink.

The killaloe hotel is a beautiful venue to get married in and we feel like we got great value for our money. The staff are so friendly and the day went very smoothly. My guests were very complimentary of the venue and the staff. I do think they could improve on their communication with the couple as there were moments of confusion during the planning process that could have been avoided. But everything went to plan on the day.

Staff were lovely.. food was unreal. Great setting for photos.. bar selection wasn't the best but its not a major drawback. All my guests loved the place and I can't wait to go back with my hubby..

I cannot recommend Orla and the hotel enough. My sister had a small wedding of 13 people recently and we booked the library room. It was absolutely perfect for small occasions and looked beautiful. The grounds were perfect for photos.
Orla was so lovely, helpful and professional throughout planning the wedding and the rest of the staff were equally helpful and lovely on the day itself. We were delighted with everything. I would definitely recommend the hotel as a wedding venue for a small or large wedding.

We had our wedding at Killaloe hotel and Spa on the 4th December 21 and from start to finish Grace and staff were the best of the best! Couldn't fault them at all nothing was too much bother and they couldn't do enough to help us in anyway possible. Grace is top class and goes above and beyond to make sure your wedding is done the way you want it! On the day Grace, Eugene, David, Viktorija and all staff were on hand to ensure our day was ran smoothly we cannot thank you all enough. We would recommend anyone looking for a wedding venue to go to Killaloe hotel and Spa it's amazing a real gem of a place! Not forgetting the food, unreal all our guest are still talking about it complements to the chef!!! Thanks for everything Grace and staff ye made us feel really special on our day!

"Thank you so much for everything ye all did for us for our wedding. It was stress free. Orla and Grace were wonderful and so were the supervisors and manager on duty on the 20th. Even the bartender at the wedding was friendly and lovely. We had the most perfect day. You were all so accommodating to us I will never forget it.
