Leixlip House Hotel

Excellent venue, super staff, couldn't have asked for more! We are soon to go on our honeymoon to Portugal and had our anniversary meal last month. We have great memories of our special day and would like to thank all of the Leixlip House team.

We got married at this hotel on New Years Day 2014. We had an amazing day to say the least. Stuart, Emma and the team were so obliging, friendly and supportive over the last year and in the build up to our big day. We were treated like royalty on each and every visit to the hotel. All of our guests are still talking about the friendly staff, great food and warm atmosphere they experienced at Leixlip house hotel. From the food to the bedrooms, all of our guests were very impressed.

We chose the Ultimate 5 start wedding package with the Leixlip house and I have to say it really is a 5 star package. Everything within the package is amazing from the wedding car, to the flowers, the cake and the band 5th Avenue Party Band, who had us all dancing our socks off all night!! Thank you guys!!!. We would highly recommend this package to anybody considering it.

We got married here on Friday and I really wanted to get this review in before we go on our honeymoon.
We booked our wedding almost a year ago and from the minute we booked the staff could not have been better. Emma and Stuart are fantastic with everything and making sure everything is perfect. Any little hiccups were smoothed over in no time. Nothing was too much trouble.
The day itself was absolutely fantastic. The ceremony in the hotel was lovely. The room was beautiful. We were then brought to the Leixlip manor for our photos and the canapes were served to our guests which everyone said were gorgeous. When we came back Stuart met us to check the room which was perfect too. The meal was gorgeous and all of our guests raved about it. Every single person said the food was amazing and they had plenty. All of the staff were brilliant during service. The band 'rewind' were really good and had everyone up on the floor...even had our 2 year old up dancing. The dj Adam was again great getting really involved dancing and getting everyone up. I could not find fault with any of the suppliers used, any of the staff or anything else. Our room was decorated really well and our champagne breakfast was brought up on time and was really nice. All in all if I could give 10 stars I would. We planned our wedding here for end of November 2012, from the very moment we met Stuart and the rest of the staff at Leixlip House hotel, we knew that our wedding would go off without a hitch. The ambience of the venue, the professionalism and overall commitment of the staff to helping realise our wedding day made the process of organising everything extremely easy.We were looking for a vintage theme and Leixlip House has a perfect old-world style from the welcoming fire in the lobby, to the decor and very well kept vintage furniture. The hotel was decorated for Christmas at the time and this added an extra special something. The small, intimate style of the venue allowed us to book out all of the bedrooms which gave an extra private feel to our wedding. The bridal suite is spacious and extremely romantic with a large 4-poster bed, chaise longue and jacuzzi bath, perfect for winding down after a fun filled day. From what we saw of the other rooms in the hotel, these are all well appointed and very comfortable, our guests were all very happy. Stuart did a great job of working with us during the planning, my wife has several food allergies and he was extremely accommodating, even promising to keep all potential bride-killing foods out of the kitchen entirely on the day. Any particularly important aspects which we highlighted to Stuart for the big day, were handled perfectly and given the necessary level of attention which made us feel very relaxed and taken care of on the lead up to the day. (The mother's and my wife were at the RDS wedding fair about a month after we made our booking, while my wife was off getting a hair trial, the two mothers met Stuart without knowing he was who we were dealing with and when our names were mentioned, he was able to recall all the details of our booking.) The number of staff serving during dinner meant that all the meals came out very promptly, and no one was left waiting. The staff during all of our visits to Leixlip House have always been very friendly and even remember us months later after the wedding when we go back for lunch or dinner. The staff are really committed to making each bride and groom feel special. The food..... we love our food, and this is one of the reasons we chose Leixlip House Hotel. We took the Bradaun package for our menu which gave us 3 choices per course for our guests to select from. All of our guests found the range of choice really set the menu apart and were highly complimentary of the food and service. We'd been told by people who were already married they were barely aware of their meal on the day, this was definitely not the case for us! Aside from the meal, the day itself went off without a hitch, we could trust in Stuart and the Staff to make sure every little detail was already taken care of, and we could relax and enjoy ourselves with our friends and family. We also stayed the night after the wedding and had a great night just being guests at the hotel. Leixlip house has become one of our favourite regular spots for Sunday lunch or dinner, we recommend it to all of our friends and we are thoroughly looking forward to spending our first anniversary at the hotel together. There is no part of our wedding day that we look back on and think could have been better, a big thank you to Stuart and all the staff at Leixlip House for helping to make our day perfect.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding at this fine intimate venue in County Kildare. Tucked away in Captain's Hill Leixlip Village County Kildare. This venue is of a excellent standard with staff to match. The food service atmosphere and management are of a high standard and is a must visit if in Ireland for a short visit or for a longer period. The rooms are furnished beautifully with real character. The only drawback is when is comes to the food. You never seem to have a belly big enough to cram it full of the wonderful choices off the extensive menu. Food/ingrediants sourced locally served hot at the right time and the service is without a shadow of a doubt impeccable. Stuart O'Connor is one of the nicest managers we have had the pleasure of dealing with his management skills are off the scale and what makes it so great is that he is a genuine soul and cannot do enough for any of the guests regardless of the budget you might be on and is more of a friend than a manager no task is impossible (within reason people he is only human). I cannot wait to go back to rest enjoy the food and chill out in a wonderful setting. I can only say so much but I strongly recommend you visit and experience this wonderful Irish gem yourselves.
