Myself and my husband got married here nearly 3 weeks ago...IT WAS AMAZING!!! Marie this woman is superwoman anything and everything I wanted or needed she sorted for me and if I was stuck on ideas she gave me some to work with she's the best

The hotel is absolutely stunning and all our guests raved about the venue, food & service. The absolutely drop dead gorgeous ballroom can cater for small/large groups giving it huge appeal to those who may want a more intimate setting.

We can't wait to visit the hotel again & enjoy all the amenities it has to offer.

We got married in the Midlands park three weeks ago and had the most amazing experience from the moment we walked into the hotel a year ago & met Marie Healy ( wedding / Events Manager) right up to our wedding!
Marie was our point of contact throughout the year, she was nothing short of excellent. She was extremely professional, so easy to work with, she listened to everything we requested. She took everything on board and went out of her way to accommodate us. She’s exactly the kind of person you need when planning a wedding, always upbeat, always smiling and no question was silly, she always gave great suggestions & advice.
The hotel is gorgeous. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional and the service excellent!
We got married in the courtyard and it was breathtaking, it was decorated so beautifully as was the function room. It exceeded all of our expectations. We would not have changed a single thing!

Our experience with the Midlands Park Hotel was second to none. Our wedding on the 30.05.2024 was stress-free with every need, want or whim being catered for by the most professional staff.
We were exceptionally happy with our wedding experience from the start of the planning process with the wonderful Marie Healy, to the day after the wedding. Marie was a breath of fresh air to work with and Katie was so helpful and accommodating as well. George Leahy provided us with such a warm welcome to the hotel with every visit and even recommended a great cocktail spot for us in Killarney on our minimoon!
The ballroom was exceptionally decorated and any instructions left by us for layout, were followed to a tee.
The hotel had recommended a list of vendors and every single one were utterly professional and entertaining. This hotel knows its vendors, so you won't be disappointed.
Our compliments to the Chef. Every guest was blown away by the quality and presentation of our meal, not to mention the responsiveness and quality of service by all members of staff.
The hotel made a special day, magical for us. They went above and beyond to accommodate us and it was truly service with a smile.
We highly recommend the Midlands Park Hotel for quality, service and value for money. In our eyes, it was a 5 star experience and wish to thank everyone involved for making our wedding so memorable.

Marie and the team made this an unforgettable day for us everything was amazing! If I could change anything it would be parking spaces even if a small amount could be saved for parents and grandparents of bride and groom

Once we decided the Midlands Park was our venue and we met with Marie we knew we were in safe hands. All requests were accommodated and the whole day flowed with ease due to the planning put in by the team before hand. Everyone that attended commented on the venues pristine appearance and the food quality.

Myself and my partner got engaged on first ever lock down in 2020. So it was great excuse to give us time over lock down to think where we would like have our wedding venue. So we decided to go with hotel we first ever stayed in as couple which was Midlands Park Hotel. So we went and booked it soon as lock down was over and soon we walked in through them doors we fell in love with it we were made feel welcome was great. I then went sign contract this was when I met Marie the wedding coordinator she had me told the day will be so special and she was right I knew my wedding was in safe hands. Couple weeks before wedding myself and my partner had our final meeting to run things over with Marie about the day. We walked out the hotel feeling more relaxed than what we did walking in. The night before wedding we dropped everything over to hotel that needed be brought over Marie knew by both of us we were big stress heads but she said it's all done now your day is here go Home and enjoy your evening before big day stop stressing and I did that everything was done out my hands I was ready for my big day. The day of wedding when we got to the hotel all I can say was wow the hotel was done amazing everything went smoothly it was gorgeous everyone was made feel welcome. Staff were so friendly on the day the food was amazing. Everyone couldn't believe the amount of food from the starter to main then dessert ten sandwiches finger food later on in night then when was over brought out bread crisps just so nice. If you are thinking of getting married this is hotel I would recommend so much my wedding day was just amazing and I knew was in safe hand with the midland park hotel. Thank you so much to Marie our brilliant wedding coordinator and also like to thank Gavin aswell who also made us feel very welcome night of our wedding taster and for helping with wedding also and great help with our day 2 for our wedding thank you both so much from Aimee and Brendan.

We had our wedding in the midlands park in August. I have to say from the beginning when we booked our date until the big day itself we couldn't have been happier. Marie was on hand to answer all our questions and give us advice. The staff were very pleasant and professional. The bridal suite is perfect and definitely adds to the experience. The food was exceptional, all our guests still talk about the food to this date. The soup was to die for. (butternut squash, red pepper and coconut). The whole day was exactly how we wanted our dream day to be. I would definitely recommend this as a wedding venue. You won't be disappointed.

Our wedding in the Midlands Park Hotel was just magical. I have to say that from the food, decor, staff and atmosphere made the day go seemingly perfect with no hitches. We were looked after so intently by Marie, nothing was too big or too small for her to help us with coming up to the big day. Marie is a credit to the hotel alongside all the other staff who made our day so special! You’re all the best! It will forever be such a special place to us!

The midlands was an amazing hotel. Everything was so perfectly done and not a single thing was left out. From the start of the planning to the big day it's self Marie and her staff were absolutely incredible. If you can't see the bridal suite before the night just hold out until the day/night of your wedding. The surprise you get when you walk through that door is amazing. I was honestly left so speechless. Everything was done so professionally, if I had to do it all over again I?d choose the midlands again without a second thought.

Hi Marie; We had the best day, absolutely great and so well done by yourself and the rest of the team, the whole day from start to finish was amazing, the food was perfect and the compliments we have been getting from our guests has been all positive saying it was the best wedding they were at, between the food and table service it was 100% perfect. We got married in the midlands park hotel in July. When we first walked through the doors we were so impressed. Marie the wedding Co-Ordinator is just a lovely person and easy to get on with! She is very helpful, responsive and happy to give suggestions. Nothing seemed like an inconvience to Marie which helped make the planning enjoyable.

The food and service on the day and all over the weekend was excellent. We felt so special on our day and all the staff were amazing. Aidan greeting us with our drinks at the door. Gavin managing the food and service. George the hotel manager greeting us in the banqueting room, made sure we had canapes and a drink. The little touches all made a huge difference. On the day everything ran smoothly. There was no stress and everything was as we wanted.
The room was laid out beautifully. The area feels very private and the courtyard is a fabulous area. We were lucky with the weather and the sun was shining. The food was cooked perfectly and laid out on time, We were so impressed with the wait staff. This did not go unnoticed by people, it was fantastic. We had some guests who were gluten free and the hotel went out of its way to accomadate them. We have been to family weddings since our own and people have come up to us to tell us how good the beef was in the midlands park hotel!!!
Friends of ours have booked nights away here as they were so impressed with the food, the friendly staff and the pool!

Eamon-John and I got married in the Midlands Park Hotel on the 13th July 2023 (one of the sunnier days of the wettest July). We came upon this amazing hotel by accident while looking up wedding showcases online and booked in for one that was held there. From the moment we saw the hotel and met all the amazing team there , we knew this was the one!
First off, we would like to thank the amazing wedding coordinator Marie who is just an amazing person all round. Her enthusiasm, bubbly personality and attentiveness throughout was amazing. She was always so quick to answer any emails, give advice and just helped greatly during the whole build up to our wedding day. We knew the day was going to be run smoothly with her in charge! We would like to thank all the staff team. They were all amazing from start to finish. They were so friendly and could not do enough for us or our guests. The food was phenomenal , all our family and friends are still talking about it a week later (along with a few chefs in the mix). The portion sizes were very generous and the staff made sure everyone had enough of everything. The drinks reception and ballroom were decorated lovely on the day! The outdoor area was an added bonus which made for lovely pictures under the arch! The rooms were next level! Very modern , clean and spacious. The jacuzzi with the TV was an added bonus in the honeymoon suite! The whole day was just perfect- everything we ever dreamed of and more! This hotel deserves more than 5 stars and its all down to the amazing staff! We cannot thank you all enough for the best day and we looking forward to visiting again in the near future.

Wow just wow we loved every minute of our day the staff could not do enough. What can I say if Carlsberg did weddings they would be at the midlands park hotel the food the decor the attention to detail and most importantly just making sure we were ok and enjoying our day, I was nervous and excited and Marie was there encouraging me all the way . From start to finish the wedding I had in my head came to life with the expert support and skill of the staff here. Would most definitely highly recommend Midlands Park if you want a fabulously beautiful wedding

We both had a wonderful day, throughout the whole process the team where great to deal with, it was clear on the day we were in good hands everything went seamless, we would personally like to thank Marie, Gavin and Aidan who were amazing on the day. The guests loved the hotel and the outdoor terrace was a huge hit on the day.

"From when we made initial contact with Midlands Park Hotel back at the start of December 2021, Marie Healy was an absolute delight to work with. She was always extremely friendly and courteous. Always replied to emails promptly and assisted us with all queries no matter how trivial they may have seemed.

The weeks and months leading up to the wedding with regards to the tasting, the timeline for the day, etc... was well coordinated.

We arrived the day before our wedding to be greeted by Marie with her smile! In the evening in the bar the staff couldn't have been nicer - Sabina on the floor and Alan at the bar!

The Wedding Day - everything was brilliant! Even with a bit of a delay with Sarah Louise the Bride of over an hour - Marie kept the Groom Gavin updated and calm... Marie firstly collected Sarah Louise and her dad to escort them to the ceremony and guided all the Flower Girl, Bridesmaids and Bride into the ceremony - all brilliantly coordinated.

After the Wedding, we were met by Marie and Gavin with some bubbly and slipped out the side door as requested.

Every bit of detail on the day by Marie and the Team was exceptional! She touched base with us before leaving and everything! We couldn't have asked for anything more from a Wedding Coordinator! Likewise with Gavin, a great person to deal with. A special mention to Aine who served the top table - she was a pleasure to deal with, an absolute credit to the Midlands Park Hotel.

All of the wedding guests commented on how accomdating and friendly the staff were, how brilliant the food was and how everything flowed flawlessly overall.

Day 2 - Gavin again touched base with us on the day about the indoor -v- outdoor debate for where to have the food! Again, such a friendly face to deal with!

Again everyone commented on the food and how lovely it was! The staff accomodated the 5 or 6 kids without any fuss (I had forgot to mention this in advance to Gavin). All the staff were all excellent, a special mention for Eimear who was brilliant and liaised with us as a few of the guests were a bit delayed. One slight comment would be guests were going up but turned away as they were doing table by table (which makes sense). I asked Gavin could he ask the staff to just let people know the arrangements so it saved people getting up and down.
Departing on the Sunday we were greeted by Aidan, an absolute Gentleman! We had issues getting some of our bits and pieces back and also the porter came out with 2 full tiers of our cake fully intact... Aidan assisted in getting a box for us and was extremely helpful with getting back a few bits which were in the office including a frame.

The only other slight issue we felt was the wedding cake - we weren't aware only half of the top tier was served on the wedding night. Ideally it would have been served at the Day 2. Also when the porter brought out the remaining 2.5 tiers of cake on the Sunday our jaws dropped... One how were we to get this back to Dublin and two it felt like a major waste of an expensive cake.

Overall an exceptional experience over 18 months! Marie, Gavin and all the staff were just so helpful and went above & beyond!"

We just wanted to show a huge thank you to the team in the Midlands Park, especially you. We had the best experience from the very first meeting to our day. When we went to look at the hotel we knew it was the place for us especially after how calm you made us feel.

Every single person who attended the wedding has commented on how unreal the food and service was. The beef was a huge success and people are still texting me about it.

We recently had our wedding at the Midlands Park Hotel, what a fantastic venue we had an amazing day, all our guests are raving about the staff, food and the way they were looked after. We had guests staying from London and Australia and many parts of the country and for certain they will book again. We recently got married on the 06/04/2023. We booked our wedding with Marie and she made everything so simple and easy. We had previously looked at other venues as we didn't realise The Midlands Park provided intimate weddings and we didn't have great experiences. After a quick call with Marie to schedule a meeting and then meeting with her it was a breath of fresh air. All our stress went away after our first meeting and excitement kicked in. We had an intimate wedding and our day could not have went any better. Not a single thing would we change. We used the O More Suite for our civil ceremony and then for our evening reception. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie, she is amazing at her job. From the decor to the food, everything was top quality service. Everyone is still complementing the food so hats off to the chefs. John and I were recently married in the Midlands Park Hotel and we had the absolute best day.
The Midlands Hotel looked absolutely stunning and as always the staff were excellent. On the day of the wedding, they could not have done more for us and the guests were complementing them throughout the entire day.
The food was absolutely delicious and everybody was so happy with their food and afters. We were just so happy with how everything went. The hotel made our day so easy for us so Thank you Midlands for that.
We planned our wedding in a short time frame and we could not have done this without our excellent wedding coordinator Marie Healy.
We met with Marie back in August and four months later we celebrated our wedding day.
Marie was so approachable and great to offer guidance and recommendations throughout. Any questions or concerns we brought to Marie, she was prompt to get back to us and always set us on the right track.
Leading up to the day when stress levels were rising a little, she always reassured us and told us the Midlands team were there to take care of it.
On the day, she was so attentive and most importantly calming to be around. She met us at the door and was there to guide us throughout the whole day. I cannot thank her enough for all of her help throughout our entire experience even when our emails may have consumed her a little.

Our wedding on the 20th of October was everything we expected it to be, from the moment we walked into the hotel and met Marie our amazing wedding Co-ordinater we felt like we were the most important guests in the hotel just for one day. We had our reception at the midlands park hotel and I can not recommend this hotel enough. Such a stunning hotel with amazing bedrooms with the bridal suite being second to none. Marie and staff were just amazing from the moment we entered. There is no words for how amazing the food was and all guests were offered second/third helpings if wanted. Myself and Dean got married in The Midland Park Hotel in September 2022. From the minute we walked into the Midlands Park and met Marie we just knew it was the perfect venue for us. Marie made everything so fun and stress free and nothing we asked was ever too much. Every time we met Marie she made us feel so welcome and relaxed and we knew she was going to do anything to ensure we had the perfect day. Our meal tasting was a lovely experience and we had lots of advice in helping to create a perfect menu. On the day the attention to detail was amazing. The decor was fabulous, and the food was gorgeous. All our guests are still commenting on the delicious food. Alot of our guests traveled and stayed in the hotel for 2 to 3 nights and all were impressed with the bedrooms. Everything in the Midlands Park was perfect and we couldn't recommend a better venue for a wedding day.

We had our wedding day in Midlands Park Hotel in August. We couldn't recommend this hotel enough. The staff are incredible so friendly and attentive. The food is just out of this world and so much of it too. Marie is an excellent wedding coordinator. She is so easy to get on with and so professional. So responsive to emails and nothing was too much trouble. Her attention to detail is second to none and the way all our decor was laid out on the day was just perfect. The room looked stunning too. Ana the banqueting manager is amazing too, she was so good to us at our meal tasting and helped us come up with the perfect menu and looked after us so well on the day. Also Sharon the restaurant manager who looked after us at our day 2 celebrations was such a fabulous person and so good to us. An absolute gem. We honestly couldn't fault this hotel at all.

We have been dealing with the Midlands Park for the last 4 years as we were postponed due to Covid, the team at the midlands especially Marie our wedding coordinator were amazing, everything was dealt with by the highest standard and they really did relieve all the stress with ensuring the plan and set up of the venue is perfect, everything about the midlands is outstanding. All our guests are still talking about the quality and standard of the food and service on the day. We enjoyed every minute of the day and didn't have to worry about a thing as Marie ensured everything we wanted and more was in place. The hotel is really a perfect venue for a wedding and the staff really make everyone feel they are at home. Another team member to mention is Anna who ensures the service of the meal is second to none, Anna has great experience and is there to ensure you can sit back and enjoy the day. We have recommended the hotel to friends, the decor and friendly staff make it such an enjoyable experience.

Marie, Anna and team were amazing from start to finish. Marie's ability to listen and notice what we felt was important removed any worries keeping the day calm and flowing. They just made us feel like stars especially when we arrived back to the hotel after our pictures and theatrics around the dinner service. Everyone had an amazing day and enjoyed their food, their rooms and overall stay. The only feedback I would give is serving out the wedding cake. Not a lot of people realised it was in the corner and therefore we went home with a lot of cake. Apart from that we would do it all again in a heartbeat with this hotel it's definitely a 10 out of 10 for us. Thank you for sharing and adding to our special day. You were all amazing.

We had out very Special Wedding Day on 14th May 2022 in Rosenallis and then onto the Midlands Park Hotel for our Wedding Reception. From the moment we booked our Wedding here we instantly felt that this was our dream hotel. George helped us figure out everything and was so helpful. Marie was our wedding coordinator and we have to say she was an absolute dream to work with. we were so relaxed and at ease with Marie she looked after everything for us. we had a few meetings with her to go though everything for our Wedding day and she made us feel so chill and relaxed about everything. We were in contact with Sandra also via emails who was super helpful to us and really made us feel everything would be perfect and to stop stressing and worrying over things. Anna who was looking after us for our taster and our wedding menu was so so lovely, she was so helpful and any changes we made she wrote them down straight way and then went through everything with us again. she was just such a lovely helpful person. I have an allergy to eggs and was worried about this but she went above and beyond to ensure i was happy and looked after. we had alot of people with allergies and other special requirements and between Anna and Marie they could not have done more for everyone they were both superb.
On our wedding day we arrived in our wedding car and was met by Marie, George and Anna outside with champagne and strawberries and a big hug and smiles. The three of them are just so lovely. Our colour theme was yellow and they even had little yellow bows on their uniforms for us that was so special and we noticed straight away. its these little things that made our day so magical. We then went into the hotel and met everyone and then Marie showed us our ballroom to make sure everything was perfect for us and it was so much more than perfect we were amazed. it could not have been anymore perfect the details the hotel went to were spectacular. When we sat down we had our meal which was absolutely delicious the most amazing and tasty food we ever had. Anna looked after our top table with drinks etc so we didn't have to do anything which was so lovely. they couldn't have been more helpful. The whole day was so magical and so much more than we had ever dreamed of. We would highly recommend the Midlands park Hotel to any couple trying to decide on where to have their wedding. It was just above and beyond and we couldn't have had a more special and amazing day. George, Marie, Anna, Sandra and all the staff at the midlands park hotel were so so helpful, so reassuring and made our day for us so relaxed and so so enjoyable. I tended to worry over things but Marie ensured everything would be looked after and it most defiantly was. Advice i would give to future couples is this hotel is state of the Art, The staff are absolutely amazing, the food was delicious, the rooms were so clean and lovely and dont stress the small things you are in such great hands. We couldn't have picked a more amazing hotel it was out of this world. we had the most magical, special day and the staff here went absolutely above and beyond for us and we are so thankful. We couldn't recommend the Midlands Park and Marie and the team enough! My husband Darrell and I got married in May 2022 having postponed from 2021 due to the pandemic so we wanted everything to be perfect and it absolutely was! The food was gorgeous and we received so many compliments on it! The room itself is stunning and Marie and the team ensured all my decorations and bits were set up perfectly! The whole experience was brilliant and Marie was always only an email or phone call away and always got back to us straight away! I am so happy that I booked to have my ceremony and wedding reception in the Midlands Park Hotel. My wedding planner Marie was extremely helpful, attentive and professional throughout the whole experience - she made the whole process extremely easy and stress free for us. Any query I contacted her with I got a quick response every time and she was always extremely friendly and helpful. On the day of the wedding everything ran so smoothly, the ceremony room and reception was decorated beautifully by the hotel and the food was amazing!! The service we received was top quality. I could not praise the hotel staff high enough, they provided the highest level of service and were so helpful and inviting to everyone who attended. The bar man we had for the night Alan, even went as far as entertaining my nephew with some colouring books at the evening reception, which made his night. Everyone in the hotel just went out of their way for us and made our day so special and I am so grateful to all of them. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this hotel to any couple considering their wedding venue in the future - everything was absolutely perfect and the service you receive is exceptional.

We cannot hype Marie and all the staff of Midlands Park Hotel (and the hotel itself) up enough! From the very first email sent the whole team made the planning an absolute breeze. No detail was left to chance, absolutely everything was looked after in its entirety and with such ease. It made the whole experience so enjoyable. That relaxed atmosphere that the staff created on the day was one of my highlights, there was no fuss, just smiling staff and guests from start to finish.
The food was truly immense. All of our guests could not stop raving about it. Hats off to the chef! The catering staff were so polite and accommodating.

We were lucky enough to recently get married in the Midlands Park Hotel, Portlaoise, and cannot recommend this hotel enough. As we were one of many couples due to marry during the Covid pandemic, we were nearly three years dealing with the hotel for our wedding. We had to postpone once, and the hotel could not have been more accommodating with offering us new dates and transferring over deposits and package details etc. In the last year Marie has come in as the wedding planner in the hotel, and you couldn't be in safer hands! She was a pleasure to deal with, so helpful and responsive, even emailing over make-up, tan and music supplier suggestions the day before the wedding when we were dealing with last minute Covid cancellations. The attention to detail on the day was fantastic with Marie, Anna, Rian, Joe and the team just ensuring everything went so smoothly. Many guests commented on the food on the day, both food and drink were plentiful and the quality was fabulous. I honestly don't feel we could have been looked after any better elsewhere, and I couldn't recommend the hotel enough in terms of service, flexibility, comfort and value! 100% recommend to other couples based on our recent experience. Thanks to all in the Midlands Park Hotel for helping to make our day so very special!

We would just like to say that our wedding was in the middle of a Lock down and the government would only allow 50 guests to attend the wedding. The hotel staff from start to finish made it feel like we had 200 guest's at the wedding. We had the best day ever and we couldnt recommend midlands park hotel enough and everything that they done for us.

We have our wedding booked for midland park hotel for 12th sept 2020 and the wedding coordinator was amazing briona she was so helpful and we are over the moon to be having out special day in your hotel.

We got married in August 2020, a crazy time for weddings, given that we were in and out of lockdowns and restricted in numbers. But we just wanted a small, intimate, civil ceremony with a small gathering of family and closest friends. The team at the Midlands Park provided exactly that, and better! From start to finish, the events team Emma and Joanna understood exactly what we were aiming for and accommodated all our wishes. From the beaufully but simply decorated function room for the ceremony, to the delicious BBQ on the adjacent terrace, we felt like we were in our own private bubble, and pampered all day.
Communication with the hotel was excellent all along, food was delicious, and great value!
It was a brilliant day, better than we could have imagined, and the sun even shone all day, what are the chances?!

We had our day in the Midlands Park Hotel on Nov 9th. We were so appreciative to everyone at the hotel for giving us a fantastic day.

All our guests throughout the evening and day complimented the staff on their manner and approach. They were nice, caring and welcoming to our guests. The hotel was complimented over and over again on its decor and many had not been in the hotel before and couldn't believe from the street what was behind the doors once they walked in. The food got the highest of praise with the featherblade beef being a clear favorite and many noted how second servings of meat and veg came round to their tables. The service was excellent with no delay to any table.

From myself and colm personally, we would like to thank Briona, George, Aidan, Rhiam, Anna and all the staff. Once we pulled up in the wedding car, you were all there to guide us and bring us along the way throughout the evening, making us feel like VIPs for the day.

Some started with beef and then had the fish and others did it the other way around, so everyone got what they asked for and so much more.

Wow, where do I start! We had our wedding in the Midlands Park Hotel on the 20th of September 2019. From the day we walked through the doors to view the hotel and pay deposit, to the morning we left after our wedding, we were blown away by the kindness and professionalism given to us by all the staff at the Midlands Park hotel. Briona, George & Ana are the dream team! From our many chats and emails with Briona in the lead up to the big day to the day itself I couldnt have expected anything to be done any more perfectly. Briona is amazing at what she does and we always knew we were well looked after in the best hands. Our family and friends all commented on how amazing the hotel was not just its appearance, which is simply beautiful, but the way the day just ran so seamlessly. The food is still being spoken about amongst our guests 4months since the wedding. The featherblade steak being the favourite of the day. I dont think anyone has had a meat like it before, nor will they since it! Anyone who ordered the feather blade steak got to have seconds of roast turkey and ham and vice versa for those who chose the turkey. Many had seconds and thirds. And Ana was on hand to help any of our guests who had special requirements and to ensure that everybody had a full belly for working off on the dancefloor afterwards! And as for George, he is an absolute gentleman! Ensured we weren't stressed or worried on the day and gave us many a laugh during our few trips to the hotel during the planning and prep and he had smiles on our faces throughout the whole day. From the moment we visited the wedding fair in the hotel up until the morning of the wedding we recieved top class service. Briona the wedding co-ordinatir in the hotel could not do enough for us, she went beyond what you would expect of any wedding co-ordinator. The food was amazing, all of our guests could not believe the service and the quality of food. I highly recommend the team at the hotel . A great team a great venue and a beautiful working relationship to pull off our wedding on one of the hottest days of the summer last year. Food is fantastic here never had a bad meal in the hotel rooms are great and the staff in general are very good. My biggest argument with them was they made a complete hash of the table arrangements. Sent them in the layout etc and on the day they changed it without letting us know. We only realised when the guests had sat down for the first course that most of my wife's family was to the side or the back and not in the front like we had originally planned for. Had a chat with the manager on the day of our wedding not a great start. They did take money off the final bill as way of apology but that is not much good when you have an upset bride. Overall taking that aside the hotel is brilliant and I would go again. My advice is check the seating plan before any of your guests sit down that way you will make sure that it is how you want it.

Our wedding at the Heritage Portlaoise was wonderful from start to finish. The staff were very prompt and professional on the day. The food was absolutely top notch and many of our guests were still complimenting the ballroom, the food and the service for many weeks after our wedding. Eddie and I have nothing but excellent reviews from our Wedding Day at the
Portlaoise Heritage Hotel. The staff were brilliant and tended to our every need
with little fuss and complete professionalism. We had approx 260 guests on the day
so our main concern was the service and food quality.... we had nothing to worry
about. Guests on the day had nothing but good things to say about both the service
and the quality of the food.

My fianc?e and I visited the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel a year before we planned to
get married. It wasn't a big wedding by any means, but our wedding coordinator
explained that they only did one wedding per day so that they could concentrate
purely on that one wedding. Our wedding coordinator Carol couldn't have been
more helpful and often gave us valuable advice.
So the big day arrived, I got ready in the hotel and the duty manager on the day
was so kind. The banqueting room where our wedding reception was to be held
looked fantastic with large candles, mirror centre pieces and flowers. The food was
excellent and the service was exceptional. The evening reception went off without a
hitch and once more the food that evening was brilliant with plenty to go around.
Everybody commented on how good the food was.
The Bridal suite is so pretty and spacious and the breakfast the next day was far
more than I expected. It even included a bottle of champagne and strawberries.
From start to finish the Hotel were helpful and considerate to all our needs. I would

Overall I can say when we had our wedding in the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel the
Hotel, Management and Staff were excellent and we would like to thank them for

We booked our wedding exactly a year before the date and from start to finish the
hotel and staff were amazing. From the sales staff, bar staff, kitchen staff, waiters,
receptionist, managers and even to the General Manager everyone was so helpful
from the day we booked until we left for our honeymoon. The food was so tasty and
there was plenty of it, each of our 140 guests would agree. Everyone stayed for two
nights and between us we used all the hotels facilities including the bars,
restaurants, gym and swimming pool and everyone thought the facilities and
services were top class. The overall value for money was great from our wedding
package to our guest's package. The staff on the day were great but more
importantly from the first day we booked the team must of took or made about 500
phone calls to us. They were so helpful that they took calls after work times and
stayed late to help us with any questions we had. They were right beside us every
step of the way, which I think is important so nothing goes wrong. They were
amazing. I would recommend anyone that is interested in booking a wedding or
function to go and see their facilities and meet their team because that is what
convinced us. Thanks again to everyone in the hotel.

We started out as every couple do, to pick our venue but we didn't have to go far.
We met with The Portlaoise Heritage Hotel Wedding Planner Carol and instantly
we knew we were at the right place. We discussed in detail all packages available to
us but most importantly she listened to what we wanted. This is one of the biggest
and daunting decisions to make. Knowing that our guests are comfortable and
happy with their meal and reception was imperative to us.

After a few more meetings to finalise details such as seating plans with the Hotel
our day arrived and everything was perfect. We were again greeted to a warm
reception by super staff throughout the day. Prior to our banquet we visited the
reception room and it was just a perfect romantic setting decorated beautifully
with flowers and candles creating a lovely ambiance. Our meal was delicious and
was circulated in an organised, calm manner.

We were reassured every step of the way and we cannot praise our wedding
coordinator Carol and team enough. Our day was a special day and we have fond
memories that will stay with us forever thanks to The Portlaoise Heritage Hotel.
