From the first meeting with Francis we knew that this was the only place we wanted to have our wedding reception. Our guests are still talking about the quality of the food and the attentive serving staff. The day was spectacular. The venue, location, we had a perfect day. We didn't have to think about anything on the day, everything was taken care of by the staff and management. We couldn't have enjoyed it more. Thanks so much.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. France’s and team were fabulous from the minute we booked until we checked out. The food was top class and no other venue would offer the same menu at such a reasonable price. I can’t recommend the red door highly enough everything was perfect.

Frances and her team provided exceptional service, guiding us seamlessly from our first venue visit to the tasting menu and ongoing support right up to the wedding day. The Red Door is an intimate wedding venue. Staff couldn't have done enough for us on the day and on the run up to the wedding.

The setting of the venue is stunning on the lake and the dinning room is beautiful. There are also lovely snugs/rooms around for people to socialise and have drinks.

One of the highlights was the food. Everyone commented that it was the nicest wedding food that they've ever had. How the chefs can cater such high standards to so many people us beyond me! One person said it was way better than the Shelbourne and we agree!

Rooms were beautifully furnished and really luxurious. Breakfast the next day was great also and we were given as much time as we needed the next day to gather ourselves.

Francis knows what she's doing when it comes to weddings. She a real professional and pays particular attention to detail. She has a calm, organised and professional approach while also making us feel really relaxed. We were so happy with the service and couldn't fault anything. Thank you.

We had such an amazing day at the Red Door. I had my dream wedding here and everything was perfect from start to finish. As a bride I was panicking a little towards the end wondering how all would go on the day but I needn't have worried a bit.

Frances and the team are the height of professionalism and what's more all the staff are lovely, friendly people. They truly made the day extra special. Many of the guests even mentioned how great Frances and the staff were.

The location is absolutely stunning for wedding photos. We got so many snaps at the water, on the swing and under some of the beautiful big trees on the grounds.

The menu was something that stood out when we were looking at venues and The Red Door is a real gem for foodies. The quality of the produce and the skill that the chef has is second to none. It was absolutely delicious.
The only thing I didn't like was leaving!

The Red Door Team were a pleasure to work with and nothing was an issue. We got married during COVID which made the planning very unpredictable right up to the day of the wedding. We would highly recommend the venue to future couples.

It has almost been one year now since our wedding at the Red Door and we are still receiving wonderful comments from friends and family on this venue. It is a truly magical place to celebrate something so special. There is not one negative thing we can say.
The venue itself is so beautiful, intimate and has an atmosphere like nowhere else.
The location is unique along the waterfront, surrounded by lovely gardens with a stunning backdrop of the mountains and hills behind - it is breathtaking.
The food is to the absolute highest standards and quality, you will not find finer food than at the Red Door.

Throughout the planning and especially on the day nothing is impossible for Frances and she will go above and beyond for you and all of your guests.
There is truly nowhere else in Ireland like this venue(and I would argue further than this), it is impossible to be disappointed; from the moment we first enquired to have our wedding reception here up to this day now when we return to visit we have been so warmly welcomed and taking care of.

We only looked at a few possible wedding venues but very quickly decided to go with the Red Door when we visited. Right from the start Frances and Linda were brilliant; profession, warm and welcoming and incredibly accommodating. We had planned for a July 2020 wedding but this was interrupted by the pandemic, so we had to move dates twice and also reduced our guest numbers. The Red Door could not have been more accommodating; we weren't put under pressure despite what we imagine must have been a very stressful for themselves. Communication throughout was excellent. On the actual wedding day, The Red Door was perfect. We had the venue to ourselves and our guests so it felt very exclusive, but still relaxed and homely with lots of character. We had around 76 guests which seemed to be a good number and the venue nicely filled up although it could have accommodated more. Everything ran as smoothly as we could have hoped and the wedding dinner was amazing and every bit as good as the Restaurant is when not catering for a wedding. As the Venue has just 4 guest bedrooms our guests found accommodation close by and there are lots of options including guest houses and hotels in Buncrana; The Red Door also arranged transport. Our guests all seemed to love the venue for including the wedding dinner. We had a private breakfast with our parents the next morning before some of our guests joined us for afternoon tea and again Frances and her team were incredibly accommodating. There are ample photo opportunities on site. We would gladly choose the Red Door again and I have already recommend it to other couples planning their own wedding.

We stumbled across the Red Door one Sunday afternoon when we stopped in for some lunch. As soon as we drove down the entry we both knew we wanted to get married there. We planned our wedding during the numerous lockdowns and Frances and her team could not have did more to help us. The limits on guest numbers and music changed right up to the week of our wedding and again absolutely nothing was a problem, we were able to change up to the very last minute.
We got married with 100 guests, who all still rave about the quality of food and service at the Red Door. The steak was a firm favorite.

A few of my favorite things about the Red Door: You will feel instantly at home here, the attention to detail is second to none, I found this even as a dinner guest.
The intimate atmosphere allows for a really relaxed day for all guests.
The gorgeous outdoor area and the cocktails (passion fruit daquiri is a must)
As there are only 4 rooms available, it allowed us to have time the next morning and enjoy a great breakfast with close family members and catch up on all the events from the day before.

I cannot recommend Frances and her team enough, we are delighted we got married in the Red Door and it will always be an incredibly special place for us.

Such a beautiful place to get married. We had an outdoor cermony there and had the reception there also.The food and service was excellent from start to finish They really went above and beyond to make our day so special.

The Red Door will always be such a special place to us, for our wedding day of course but because it made our day so perfect. From start to finish, everything was top quality and made so easy for us, the staff really took care of everything and thought of everything, helping us to really feel at ease during such a stressful time. We felt looked after and that the day was so personal to us, even though there are weddings there all the time. We had so many compliments from our guests on the venue, the atmosphere, the location and especially the food - people said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding! We are so thankful to all the staff at The Red Door for such a wonderful experience.

The wedding coordinators are are pleasure to deal with and promptly answer emails, make helpful suggestions and ease the stresses of wedding planning. I would highly recommend the Red Door as a venue to any engaged couple.

Our wedding day at The Red Door went beyond all our expectations. Frances and Linda were extremely supportive every step of the way with us up to and throughout our wedding day. Our wedding ceremony was beautiful. It was held in a marquee overlooking the stunning views of Lough Swilly. Afterwards, guests were offered canapes and drinks while we had our photos taken. The new outdoor seating area was perfect for the guests to relax and enjoy the live music.
The dinner was superb. The choice of starters and main courses were all cooked to perfection and were served in an impeccable fashion thanks to the professionalism of each member of staff.
Overall, we had a perfect day. Our heartfelt thanks to Frances and all the staff.

The Red Door is a wedding venue that surpassed not just my expectations but also that of our guests. The standard of service and quality of food was superb. Any correspondence prior to the wedding was promptly responded to. All staff were so friendly and helpful on the day even going to the shop in the next town for goats milk for a guests baby.

In preparation for the wedding the wedding coordinators kept in touch and were flexible and ready to accommodate any requests I had for the days proceedings from an unusually early start time to the decorations and layout.

The venue itself was immaculate and the setting absolutely stunning. I could not find one fault and all the little attentions to detail combined with the relaxed friendly atmosphere ensured my wedding day was everything I could have hoped for and more.

The Red Door cannot do more for you from the minute you book your wedding until it is all over. The staff are out of this world as well as the food and the venue. We cannot believe how special it is and the value for your money, given the luxury you will experience is hard to believe. I ADORE this venue!!

I don't think we could have picked a better venue than the red door to host our wedding. Our experience of having our wedding day at The Red Door was wonderful. The entire team made the run-up to the wedding stress-free, they were open to every request we had and made us feel very special on the day itself.

The venue was presented stunningly, with the outside marquee overlooking Lough Swilly, and we got feedback from many of our guests that it was hands down the best wedding food they?d ever had.

The real test of a wedding venue comes when something doesn't go exactly to plan on the day, which inevitably will happen. There was a burst water mains pipe in a nearby town, meaning no running water in the surrounding areas from 6am until late in the evening on our wedding day. To emphasise how professional and flexible the team was, we didn't even realise ourselves that they had no running water as they worked tirelessly to keep topping up tanks all day long with bottled water, while also doing all their other wedding day jobs.

We cannot recommend The Red Door highly enough to people planning their wedding, and look forward to coming back there many times in the future.

The most amazing wedding venue. The food is amazing and the staff are exceptionally professional and helpful. We had our ceremony outside in the marquee, which was set up beautifully. The attention to detail for every aspect of our day was exceptional. All of our guests were raving about the food, staff and venue. I could not fault any aspect of our day.
