Tucked away in a private courtyard are four quaint cottages available to book for you and your wedding party. With log burning stoves and cosy loft bedrooms, they are a retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle.

We had our wedding in Wells House a few weeks ago and we cannot recommend both venue and staff highly enough. We wanted something different for our day and chose to have a small humanist ceremony and meal on the stunning terrace behind the main house. The day was exactly what we hoped for and more! Starting with a sun soaked Champagne reception on the lawns, followed by an informal ceremony on the beautiful steps leading into the lower gardens and a wonderful meal with excellent vegetarian options after. Our table set-up on the lawn was beautiful, decorated with over-sized candelabras and flowers we chose from Wells' gardens days before. The staff were extremely attentive on the day, nothing was too much trouble. Although our day was a little different from the norm, Niamh & Sabine listened and understood what we wanted to achieve from the moment we met to plan the day. We are both so thankful to Sabine, Niamh and their team for making our special day perfect for us and our families!

We absolutely couldn’t fault this venue. Everything was so laidback and chilled, the venue itself was amazing, the staff and food too. We opted for the BBQ and it was the best decision. Everyone raves about it, a totally different wedding day that neither of us would change a thing about!

Two weeks ago we had our dream wedding in Wells House. It was an amazing and perfect day. Everyone at Wells made sure everything went smoothly and seamlessly. Leading up to the day the team in Wells were so supportive, knowledgeable and helpful in planning it all. The food was absolutely out of this world, we had a lot of happy guests and all the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We really had our fairy-tale wedding and we could not be happier. Wells is a beautiful place filled with beautiful people and I would recommend it to any brides or grooms to be.

The house, the dinner hall, and the gardens are breathtaking, and Sabine and her team are simply amazing.
We had a civil ceremony in the house, followed by a drinks reception. All our guests were fascinated with the gorgeous rooms. Some local guests had been to Wells before but hadn't attended a wedding, and everyone agreed it looked fab!
Even though it was winter we were able to roam around the gardens for some portraits.
Later on we moved into the Hall for our dinner. The food was gorgeous, and the service was flawless.
The day was everything we wanted and more. Sabine and her team honestly couldn't have done enough for us. They listened to what we wanted and provided us with sound advice when needed.
If you are looking for a venue that is unique then look no further.
