Frog Prince Weddings & Events

My husband and I chose Frog Prince Weddings for our wedding florals and stylings based on recommendation from our venue and because we were planning from overseas. We were excited to learn that Frog Prince, unlike other florists, would be able to help with things like napkins, table decor and styling, and other aspects of our day. We were particularly drawn to the idea that Frog Prince "believe[d] that for you to be fully present and able to enjoy every moment of your big day, all organisational worry and logistical nightmares should be off loaded from you entirely."

Unfortunately, when it came to the day of our wedding, this was not the case for me as a groom. The flowers and arrangements were beautiful, but there were some major shortfalls that left us wondering if and how we misunderstood what Frog Prince's role on our wedding day would be. Based on conversations with our sales coordinator, we fully expected that one of the women we spoke with over the past year would be present at the venue on our wedding day. We had numerous conversations on the phone about event styling notes that were important to us - one that stands out is candles in tapers not being straight. Pauline at Frog Prince noted in these conversations that she has personally, at other weddings, gone around and straightened tapers. We felt supported and excited to not have to worry about these things.

Our final consultation with Sharon and Pauline felt a bit rushed. Sharon did not seem engaged and we left the call a bit worried about this.

When the wedding day came, we were met by an installer from Frog Prince that we had never spoken with, and that had questions for us about the setup. He dropped off out button holes for our lapels, and they looked nothing like what we expected - from the Pinterest board we had initially provided, to the PowerPoint inspiration, we always expected our button holes to be white roses, my favorite flower and what we used throughout the venue. Instead, we received something I had never seen before and that I found totally unpleasing. It was the morning of our wedding, so we put them on and moved on. The gentlemen took a picture with his phone to prove he had dropped everything off, and left.

As they day went on, I found myself getting distracted by things that were "off" or wrong about our styling, and wondering where the staff from Frog Prince was. I was pulled aside multiple times by our venue staff to ask if certain things looked okay as they arranged decor that I expected Frog Prince to handle. I had to correct some of the setup myself, only because I noticed it. Some examples:

1. A garden meadow fell over in the aisle and I picked it up before the ceremony.
2. The candles in the candelabras were not straight - this was notable because it was one thing that we kept talking about with Pauline on our calls. I fixed a few of them myself.
3. We were conscientious about reusing decor from our dinner reception for the ceremony - which would require certain centerpieces to be used during the ceremony then placed on the dinner tables. When the ceremony happened, those center pieces were not there.
4. Our table numbers were not set up properly and I had to ask the venue staff to fix them.

Considering that we chose Frog Prince to avoid having to be distracted on our wedding day, this was a disappointment. We wrote Frog Prince about these shortfalls, particularly the button holes, which as a same-sex couple meant a lot to us - and they accepted our feedback. Pauline noted that going forward the team would leave only "confirmed design" in the inspiration PowerPoint, but we had never confirmed using the flowers we received on our lapels, which, again, looked awful.

Pauline did offer to have a call to discuss our feedback, but when we noted that we had written everything up in email, it was decided that a call would not be necessary. We did not receive an answer as to why Pauline, Sharon, or Joana was not present to support our wedding on the day of. Our order from Frog Prince was likely "small" compared to some of their other clients, so I can only assume that our wedding was not deemed important enough to have one of them present on our day.

Overall, we are so excited about our wedding day, and the arrangements looked great. A recommendation for future brides and grooms: be sure to clarify expectations about who of the Frog Prince team will be present on your wedding day, or you may find yourself being pulled away from the festivities to fix your own decor.

We were blown away by how beautiful the flowers were, and the ceremony room was just spectacular. Can’t recommend these guys highly enough. It’s like they were inside my head when creating the design board. They made our dreams into a reality… just magical.

Frog Prince were given to us as a supplier through our venue Carton House.
I really enjoyed working with them before the big event. After that I had really high expectations for the day. Overall we spent far too much money and I wasn't overly happy with the results.

We ordered charger plates that were supposed to be gold, but looked silver, on closer inspection the gold was actually chipping away, this was at the bride's seat which I was a bit surprised about. At the head table one of the dior chairs was broken, thankfully we had a spare chair for my dad who has recently passed away, and so we swapped it out. Unfortunate that both of those incidents were at the head table.

The flowers were absolutely fabulous, but I was slightly disappointed that no one came up the morning of my wedding to show me how to hold the bouquet or place the lapel flowers on the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom. In turn I didn't know what most of the flowers were, and they also didn't last long at all, maybe until 3pm before they started turning brown. I didn't feel like my bouquet was anything special compared to the bridesmaids.

Frog Prince were easy and fun to work with from start to finish. Extremely professional and provided the most beautiful decor for our day. Huge thank you to Sharon and the crew they transformed our rooms into something truly magical!

I still can not believe how lucky we were to have Stephen from Frog Prince do our flowers and venue decorations on our wedding day. Initially we had no idea what we wanted so Stephen took us through some options and in the end we let him take the lead as he knew exactly what i liked and how things would look in our venue as he is there most weekends. For my flowers of course i got onto pintrest and 3 days before the wedding sent Stephen a picture of a bouquet that i liked. On my wedding day i had an exact match to what i had asked for. I could not have been more happy. I would highly recommend the Frog Prince and of course Stephen himself!

Just a note to say how thankful we are to Sharon and the Frogprince team for the magic they created for us at our wedding in December!
Our feet have still barely touched the ground since the celebrations on our incredible day that Sharon was so pivotal in creating.
It's hard to put into words just how grateful we are for everything that Sharon and the team around her did for us.
As someone who has secretly dreamed about their wedding day since childhood, the styling and florals far surpassed anything I could ever have imagined and both Rory and I keep saying to people it surpassed even our wildest dreams.
Sharon's attention to detail and consummate professionalism ensured that the day ran like clockwork, our guests were looked after and our suppliers were happy!
Through her stellar organisation Rory and I were able to savour every single second of our day and enjoy it from start to finish with Sharon always being 10 steps ahead of us...ensuring that we had all that we could possibly need....this lady is a legend!!
I can't begin to describe my joy at walking into the hallway in Gloster and into our dinning room and being moved to tears by the florals and the beauty that Sharon and Frogprince team created....magic had happened, memories that we will replay for the rest of our lives had been made!
Rory and I keep saying that we would give anything to do it all over again....if that was to become a reality, Sharon would again be there every step of the way with us as she really is phenomenal at what she does!
If you want the best in industry don't hesitate to have this special lady and amazing company on board for your special day.

Avoid at all costs! I see they have good reviews but things must have gone smoothly on their wedding day. God forbid it goes badly, all my flowers were wrong, buttonholes were wrong, chair covers were shoddy and some decorations were not as discussed and now the company seem to be ignoring me. Really stressed out my wedding day and now staring at wedding photos with a different look to what we had wanted as well. So disappointed.

Found this company fantastic to deal with. Edel was extremely helpful and no query was left unanswered. She listened to what I wanted and we were delighted at how well the room looked on our wedding day

From the first day I met Sharon I was totally impressed with the Service of Frog Prince. Everything from chair covers, bows, flowers, twinkle backdrop - for me it was great to deal with one supplier for these items. I had nothing to worry about leading up to our big day and I would highly recommend Frog Prince :)) The end product was amazing and the room in Roganstown was amazing - all our guests were so impressed as was I and my hubby. Thanks aswell to Laura in the office who was a dream to deal with.

We used Sharon and her team to help us with our wedding on the 30th of Dec.We had our service and reception in Kettles country house hotel in Swords. We wanted a wow factor and that is what we got thank you so much Sharon our service room was so beautiful everything was just perfect i was`nt allowed see the room till i walked up the red carpet i have to say it brought tears to my eyes .Sharon is a true perfectionist she arrived with Dara`s button holes just before the wedding and pinned them on . We got married on New Years Eve 09 in Finnstown House. Thankfully we has Frog Prince Wedding Days looking after our church and reception decoration and our bridal party flowers. I couldn't possibly thank Sharon enough for all her hard work and effort in the run up to our wedding. We used the services of Frog Prince Wedding Days at our wedding in October in Liffey Valley House. Sharon and her team did an absolutely excellent job. We used her services for bridal party flowers, church dressing and venue dressing. Our flowers were beautiful and our church and venue looked and felt exactly the way we wanted it to - romantic and intimate. There is a huge range to choose from.
