The staff in memories were delightful. They took my initial idea of what dress would suit me and pulled those styles, similar and totally different styles. they made sure to allow me time to explore different dresses to see what will suit me. they helped me keep to my budget and I left the store delighted with my choice. I cannot recommend them enough.

A bitter ending! - I bought my dress in memories in October 2018. Although the decor of the shop leaves alot to be desired and is very run down looking but there stock of dresses was lovely and the sample dresses were very clean. All was going well until my dress came in, I arrived at the shop full of excitement and couldn't wait to see the dress but I was rather surprised to be asked was I paying cash or card to pay for it in full before I even tried it on. I understand it has to be paid in full but maybe after the bride has it on and is happy with it is probably more appropriate. It came in with the wrong colour belt and it was on the tag that it was ordered in the wrong colour. I paid for extra ribbon to make straps which had to be used to replace the wrong colour (the store covered the cost of putting the belt on the dress but I still had paid for the additional ribbon which was never offered to be refunded to me). I found the seamstress dismissive and disinterested and I wasnt satisfied so I decided not to go with her in the end. The customer service once my dress was paid for in full was appalling. I asked for a swatch of the dress colour to be sent as it was requested by my florist which he assured me it would be sent to my address even though I offered to collect it in store if it was easier than posting, it was never sent. I rang a number of times, I left a voicemail explaining I was concerned about the seamstress recommendations and asked for a call back to give me some clarification and explaining my concerns which I never got a reply to. I had sent 3 emails which were never replied to. I found communicating with the shop difficult with very poor followup leaving me at times frustrated. I ended up using a different seamstress because I was left not confident in the ability of the lady recommended by memories. On the day I had organised to collect my dress he was in the middle of dress fitting with another bride. I was met at the door of the shop with the dress in a bag without even being offered to see the alteration which they had fixed with the wrong belt I was expected to just take it away without even seeing it which I found a little rude. I had to ask for the additional lace and ribbon which I paid for which I actually never got in the end. Rushed off to say the least. Nice dresses, not so nice customer service. I have discussed my opinion with a good few people who have had very similar experiences which is why I chose to write this review.

Could not fault the dress I got though

Karl was a pleasure to deal with, I had an idea in my head with regards style and Karl just made things very simple. Lima the dress maker was absolutely fantastic, she hand stitched every piece of my neck line, which I absolutely loved.

The only place prospective brides should go for their dream dress.
After visiting around 4 other stores and being left in rooms with hundreds of dresses, being told I look amazing in them all and leaving feeling so overwhelmed, meeting Karl in Memories Bridal Boutique was like a breath of fresh air.

He spoke with me briefly and then said 'you wait there and I will choose some dresses for you' - it was heaven after a stressful day of trying dresses that weren't nice, were poor quality and when you felt like you just wanted to give up.

I can honestly say that every dress I tried on in Memories was beautiful and the quality was outstanding at very reasonable prices. I didn't personally love them all but I knew I was in the right place.

Then Karl asked me to try on a dress and just said 'don't worry about the colour, just try it on to see if you like the style, it is also available in ivory'.

I tried it on thinking I will never wear this colour but I'll try it for size.

Oh my goodnesss!! I fell in love.. with the colour. It was blush and ivory, fitted at the top with a wide neckline, v at the back and layers and layers of gorgeousness.

Karl was amazing, offering advice on bridesmaid colours, making me really feel $1 million and just being honest.

I went back in the next day and put down my deposit.

And the service didn't end there. From getting me the most beautiful veil (with rose petals at the bottom) to providing me with the best seamstress you could ask for - the end result was a dress (and veil) I didn't want to take off.

Simply put, they made my day and I would recommend them to any bride who wants quality at a good price with excellent service.

Can I get remarried, just to re-wear the dress????

Let's face facts...the wedding is all about finding the perfect dress-not always an easy thing to do without breaking the bank! But if you are looking to find a wide selection of dresses that won't break the bank,then look no further!!!i had the shop to myself while trying on dresses.and because I wasn't sure of the style of dress I wanted-i was presented with a variety of dresses that would suit me-the third dress I tried on was 'the one' and to top it all off it was within my budget!!i can't recommend Memories highly enough.dress was dry cleaned and ready for me in plenty of time for fittings!couldnt ask for a more professional experience!

Every bride should visit Memories before any other bridal boutique.

I couldn't have asked for anything more! We had the place to ourselves, I filled out a short questionnaire first regarding budget, style etc. a quick chat with Karl and off he went to pick a selection of dresses based on my responses.

Trying on the dresses was amazing, we weren't rushed, he gave honest opinions about the dresses and whether or not he thought they were flattering for my body shape, and also little alteration tips for the dresses that I liked but wasn't 100% sure. The alteration tips were extremely helpful.

In the end, I actually went with a dress that wasn't exactly my brief, a dress that Karl had chosen because he thought it would be nice on me (it was stunning!).

The dress plus alterations came in at exactly my budget, because he had taken the cost of the alterations into consideration when choosing the dresses.

The location is ideal, very easy to find, plenty parking nearby and easily accessible by public transport.

The boutique itself is utterly charming! It's warm and inviting and full of character. I loved the decor!

Karl is a genius, who knows what he is doing. He has a remarkable eye for choosing what will actually suit a woman's shape & size, and genuinely makes you feel comfortable, body-confident, and amazing; what more could a bride-to-be want!?

I had the pleasure of meeting Margaret on another occasion and she had some great advice regarding suitable under-garments to wear under the dress and tips on the best shops to be fitted correctly.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Memories. Choosing a wedding dress can be stressful, there are so many beautiful gowns! Memories & Karl eliminated that unnecessary stress and made the whole experience a breath of fresh air. I wish I had gone to Memories first!

I can look back at that experience now with fondness, thanks to Memories. Continued success to them.
