Midland DJs - Wedding DJ of the Year 2020

We were so impressed with Midland DJs and the way he helped bring our vision to life and the PARTY! The dance floor was full and the vibes were high - the music selection and flow was amazing. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the music and the saxophone player (I have to say a highlight of the wedding for me. He did such an incredible job and is so talented -- incredible duo!!) So many guests even asked Tyler if he learned to play sax just for the performance! I would highly recommend Midland DJ's for any wedding or event. He was fun, professional, easy to work with and really made our wedding truly unforgettable.

With everything going on and the build up we never actually got around to sending you a playlist but I said to my (now) husband the next day - ?did you send the DJ a playlist after?? Because every song you played would have been on our playlist! From starting the night with Shut Up and Dance to Maniac 2000 to finish the night, you were amazing! I don't think I left the dance floor for more than 5 minutes. The sax player was unreal and people are still talking about it.

You truly are amazing at what you do and took our day to the next level.

We booked Trevor last minute due to COVID interfering with plans. He was extremely professional, flexible and a dream to work with from beginning to end. On the night he kept everyone on the dance floor, surprised us with tonnes of accessories and his sound/lights set up was amazing. We also got the sax player - he was BRILLIANT! Couldn't recommend them enough.

Trevor was brilliant - a real highlight of our wedding! He is extremely professional to deal with, his set looked amazing and he pulled out all the stops to give us an amazing night! Trevor was just a dream to work with from beginning to end. He was very flexible, thorough, and happily shared his knowledge and previous experiences with us. This helped when planning a wedding in the middle of a pandemic where things were constantly changing. The big day arrived and he blew us all out of the park, between him and the sax guy = AMAZING! We danced non stop for hours, there was something for everyone in his playlist! Many complimented the entertainment the next day. Thanks Trevor, super day!

Likes so many others, our wedding of 250 people in March became a wedding of 40 in September. Given the smaller crowd we changed from a band and DJ to a full night DJ package with Trevor. From start to finish, Trevor was so easy to deal with - extremely responsive on email and just really helpful in answering our questions and advising us based on his previous experiences. Anything we wanted - an edited first dance song or special requests - nothing was a problem! Due to the early closing, Trevor played from around 8.30 to 11.15. It worked perfectly and everyone left in great form at 11.30. We can't recommend Trevor enough!

We had Trevor for a full night DJ package for our wedding and he was fantastic. There was a great mix of music for everyone and the dancefloor was never empty the whole night. Everyone commented on how good he was. With all the restrictions and time changes for weddings Trevor was fully accommodating and worked round whatever we needed. Can't recommend Trevor enough

I particularly wanted the Sax package, which if anyone is thinking of doing- GO FOR IT! All our guests thoroughly enjoyed the nights entertainment, some maybe a little bit too much! Lol But Trevor and the Sax player were both very professional! We added on up lighting and a custom gobo which was stunning. Trevor added in little extras such as blow up saxophones, glow sticks and ended the night literally with a bang with the confetti canon which was a real surprise! Honestly, 5* service and would highly recommend to any future bride and grooms, Trevors expertise in playing to the crowd is simply fab- dance floor was filled from start to finish so thank youuu!

Trevor did the music at our ceremony, drinks reception and wedding reception and all I can say is that it was absolutely brilliant and flawless, he is so professional in his work and an absolute gentleman and we would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for a DJ for their wedding.

From the first email to Trevor to the night itself he was fantastic! He was always around to answer any questions or queries! He played all songs requested by us and by guests and the night was just fantastic!!!! One bit of advice I would give anyone is it definitely better to book band and dj separate it made the night so much better then the band just doing the dj set! Lights and whole set up of Trevor was fantastic and lots of comments on it!!

The DJ was very professional and he was on time and he got the crowed to the dance floor and the music was very well picked and he was very accommodating. Defiantly will pick the DJ again and very highly recommend him to everyone.

Trevor was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He was always contactable and very accommodating. He coordinated directly with the people we had booked for entertainment and also was able to manage last minute changes without any hassle which was such a weight off our shoulders. I didnt chose a playlist, I left that up to Trevor and boy did he kill it on the night. We didnt have a band, so we wanted to make sure we had an excellent DJ and I'm so glad we went with Trevor. Wow what a night, what a performance, what a closing act.

We have always enjoyed Saxophone music but couldn't have imagined how much everyone would take to the performance.

After being at other weddings we were conscious that the dance floor is key to a great night. We wanted to make sure people would have no option but to get up and dance. This is exactly what we got from hiring Midland Dj's and Sax to play after the band.

The dance floor was full all night. Young or old, it didn't matter, everyone was dancing. The guys were able to read the crowd and keep the part going.

The remix of Pumped up Kicks was amazing and they are happy to try and play what ever song you want and fit in some amazing sax solos to suit.

Trevor was a pleasure to deal with during the initial booking. Three weeks out from our wedding day, he was back in touch to see if we had any special requests. On the night he was unreal, he read the crowd like a book and kept the tunes coming and the dance floor was full for the whole night! Trevor is beyond amazing from start to finish i would say one of the best decisions i made was choosing him for our wedding. I had so many doubts about having a DJ for our entire nights entertainment, I was so tempted to just book a band to play ahead of Trevor on the night. I am so glad i didn't, i don't think any band could have done as well as Trevor did. Having Trevor play our entire night was the best decision i ever made, from the music during the meal to the last song of the night i had my guests constantly complimenting the music and even now in the days after they are still raving about how good Our DJ was. I left 95% of the music choices up to Trevor just giving him an idea of the style that would suit and with every song he played he hit the nail on the head every time, the dance floor was never empty. I would highly recommend Trevor's full wedding package and I would easily do it all over again. We organised our wedding from Australia, so all my correspondence with Trevor was through emails he was always so prompt at responding which immediately put me at ease! Any queries we had were responded to straight away and Trevor was lovely to deal with in person as well, so professional but so nice and a great chat & laugh as well.
We decided a few weeks before the wedding we'd like to hire a photobooth which is an add on and it was organised for us within a few days.

Trevor from Midlands DJs was the DJ at our Wedding in Durrow Castle in January 2019 and I can't recommend him highly enough. We left the majority of the song choices up to himself, and he did a great job keeping everyone dancing and had a really good sense of the mood in the room. Very easy to deal with in the run up to the wedding also.

From day one Trevor was brilliant - responded promptly to emails and listened to what we really wanted in our Wedding DJ. As we had not found a band who we liked to play at our wedding we decided that we had to get an amazing DJ to make up for not having a band. And by god did Trevor make up for it! We had seen how many awards he had won and thought he was a safe bet! We sent him a list of music we would have liked to be played at our wedding and nothing was ever an issue. On the day of the wedding he set up pink uplighting in our ballroom before the meal and it looked incredible. He came and introduced himself and set up the DJ pod with funky lights. The wedding music was unbelievable - Trevor has great choices of music and switched it up when necessary if a song wasn't going well! Trevor was able to read the crowd and the music that we liked. So many guests have since commented about how good his music was and that there wasn't a moment when the dance floor wasn't full!!
It literally was the best night of our lives and I think the music was an integral part of making it a success!

I would highly recommend booking Trevor as your wedding DJ. He knows exactly what songs to play to fill the dance floor. I had heard him many times in person so was always going to book him for my wedding. We added in the DJ & Sax package and it was just amazing the guests loved it. The sax player gets out on the floor with the crowd and the atmosphere was amazing. Also I know some DJs are particular about their set lists but Trevor is so relaxed and will play what you want and can be sure he will play as long as possible.

A good sign of the great night we had, when I went to bring my wedding dress to be cleaned, the lady said oh gosh you must have had a great night because of the state of the bottom of my dress. We just wanted to thank Trevor and Bill (our saxophonist) for the music they provided at our wedding on Saturday 29th July at The Conyngham Arms Hotel in Slane.
Music was a really important part of our day and we had a selection of genres across the day to reflect that.

When we contacted Trevor almost two years before the wedding, he was extremely helpful and accommodating and we knew his company were the right fit for us. He responded promptly to EVERY email we sent with queries and requests, despite their frequency, and couldn't have been more helpful in the build up to the big day.

Trevor and Bill were the finale to a day filled with love, laughter and music. They fitted the bill perfectly. They brought new energy to the room when our band finished, responded to the guests' likes and dislikes and even put up with their over-excitement at a saxophonist appearing out of nowhere on the dancefloor! We literally had tears in our eyes when it came to the final tune and the duo were bombarded with chants of 'one more tune' from our eager guests who felt the same way. It was the perfect end to a perfect day.

He did a really fantastic job, he played all of the songs we had requested prior to the big day and any songs our guests requested on the night. He really got the crowd going and it was really nice to hear at breakfast the next day that everyone had so much fun dancing. What really tips the scales in regards to how great Midland DJ's are, is that prior to the wedding, Trevor not only helped with the song choices but he had helpful advice in regards to first dance and timing of things. Trevor and Midland DJs were absolutely amazing to work with during our December wedding. We emailed him on short notice due to a chance of venue and lucky for us he was still available due to it being on a Wednesday.

Trevor was my DJ on the night and from start to finish with communication about the whole party, Trevor was perfect to deal with. He would answer all my emails with any queries I had and assured me that he would have any song request to hand - which he did. I used the Fairy light backdrop and the red up lights which worked really well in the party room of cream walls and red pattern carpet. We had the theme a "Night at the Oscars" and the whole affair went off really well and the music was great. Thank you so much Trevor.

What a fantastic night we had. We booked a band followed by a DJ and he slipped in seamlessly to set up and make sure the music started immediately after the band had finished. We gave Trevor very little info about what music we liked (even though we were asked in advance) but after giving him a vague idea on the night and him using his common sense he had everyone (including my non-dancing-husband) on the dance floor and begging for more. Absolutely brilliant and can't thank you enough!

I would to thank Midland DJs for an excellent preformance at our wedding. Everyone loved it. The band were excellent and we thought people may stop dancing but you kept the floor full the whole night. Thanks for adding in a few games/activites into the dancing, made a big difference. For anyone thinking of using Midland DJs I cannot recommend them more. The music is brilliant and Trev plays to the crowd. Takes requests even though we had very few because his music was brilliant.

We booked Midlands DJs for our Dublin wedding in March 2016. We cannot say enough about Trevor and the service we received. Being a mixed Irish and Indian wedding, we were delighted that Trevor worked closely with us on the playlist to ensure music for all taste's was met. The light setup and the sound system from the mobile desk was just excellent and it took less than 30 mins to setup. Trevor has everyone up dancing from the start right to the end. All of our guests were very impressed by the music and atmosphere. Our advice would be forget a band and just go straight with Trevor and Midlands Djs for your wedding. We have no problem recommending him to any future couple!!!

Trevor was the DJ at our wedding in July of last year at the Radisson Farnham Estate in Cavan, He came highly recommended by a friend who was like ourselves was planning an international wedding. My partner is Australian and we had guests from Australia, Canada, Spain, England and Ireland at our wedding. I was apprehensive about how we could please so many guests from so many cultures but Trevor reassured me that it wouldn't be a problem. From the onset Trevor was extremely professional. As we were based in England we mainly contacted Trevor via email. He was always fast to respond to any query we had and offered advice when it was needed.

He also provided a monogram for our dancefloor with our names and wedding date on it which came out beautifully in our wedding photos. Trevor played a mixture of songs from old to new, Irish to Aussie and I can honestly say the dancefloor was full all night. Trevor has a real ability to read a crowd which I feel is a hugely important factor in choosing a dj for such a special occasion. We received so many complements from our wedding guests about the atmosphere and music at our wedding and I can honestly say that without Trevor our wedding would not have been the same. I would highly recommend Trevor to any bride and groom especially to those living away from Ireland who want the stress taken out of planning an overseas wedding.

We were delighted with Midland DJ's and would definitely hire them again for our next event. We dealt with Trevor who was so organised and professional and helpful from the start.

We were demanding as we had an idea of what we wanted and he really listened to us and took on board all our requests. He kept everyone up on the dancefloor the whole night long and we were really happy with him. I would suggest booking him while you can as he's fantastic. He definitely added to the atmosphere of the whole day and we are very grateful to have had him as our DJ.

I first heard Trevor play as a DJ for a fortieth of a friend of mine - and when we got engaged I thought that Trevor would be ideal to play at our reception. We were in contact with him before hand, he had good availability to speak to us, and we discussed what music we wanted at our wedding. On the night in question, he was early and was set up well in advance. Then the music started... from the first song (well second song after our first dance!!) he had everybody up on the floor dancing the night away, no mean feat when we had asked him to play a lot of rock songs. The flow of music was great, he knew what to play next to keep people up on the floor. I even saw people dancing outside in the smoking area!! We had a fantastic night and Trevor had a BIG part to play in this, if I ever have another function I'm definitely going to be asking him to play at it!

Trevor from Midland DJs was the DJ at our wedding in Carton House in May 2014 and he was fantastic. He let us suggest songs before the wedding and also played some great tunes on the night. He also helped us to prepare playlists for the drinks reception and party the day after the wedding. We used Trevor for our wedding last December 27th in the Shelbourne and we cannot say enough about him. The dancefloor was never empty and he played a great mix of songs to suit everyone. It was a great wedding and we still get complimented as to how great the music was and how much dancing went on, which is all thanks to him, he keeps everyone in great form!
