I am Dan, the man behind TallTales. I am excited about making films that people treasure and appreciate.
The first reaction I am hoping for from the couple after the delivery of my videos is a sense of joy that all those key moments were captured and can be savoured all over again.
However there is more to these videos than the initial reaction. I hope to get at something deeper about the couple, to reflect their personalities and their unique chemistry. I am motivated by the idea that the films that I am making now will be enjoyed for generations to come. Imagine being able to watch a video of your grandparents wedding and seeing all those characters and distant relations. These films are conversation pieces that will last for generations.
I have a lifelong interest in film and photography. I studied it to degree level in the UK and spent the last 10 years working in the fashion industry in London and Beijing.
Using everything I’ve learnt about cinematography and filmmaking throughout my years of working in fashion and advertising, and drawing upon my love of music and editing to create mood and story I believe I have a unique angle on how to capture a wedding film and deliver a finished product that will bring joy and pride for years to come.

We used Dan for our videography and could not be happier with the results! Dan was able to capture every special moment of our day in the videos and was very flexible at adapting to all of our requests. Extremely happy couple!

So so happy we chose Daniel as the videographer for the big day! Right from our first interaction, Daniel set the tone for a great experience. His communication skills were top-notch, and he immediately scheduled a call with us to discuss the different packages he provides and explained the various styles and how they differ, making sure we chose the most suitable for us! On our wedding day, Daniel arrived in ready to rock, and worked seamlessly alongside our photographer, blending into the background, capturing every candid moment without disrupting the flow of events. He also managed to get lots of snippets from the guests that as a couple, you wouldn't see on the day! Watching the full edit back, it really made us feel like we were reliving the day there & then, and I am so pleased with the final product. I would highly recommend Daniel for your videographer needs!

From our first interaction with Daniel he was always so helpful friendly and happy to accommodate any requests. Such a genuinely lovely guy that blends into the background to capture magic moments. Amazing videos and a lovely guy. Professional and pleasant, Daniel answered all my questions in time and stuck to the timeline before, during and after the day. The videos caught so many interactions and moments I missed in the chaos. So happy we got a videographer and it is a treat to see all our nearest and dearest in such a beautifully shot production. Very satisfied.

Myself and my newly wedded wife got to sit down and watch the masterpiece that dan created on our wedding day. It was absolutely perfect. He captured everything beautifully. We got to relive and more when we watched it. The moments, the music, simply everything just ties in so perfectly. Then beyond all that, Daniel was extremely professional both coming up and on the day. He diligently did his job for the entirety of our wedding whilst also making everyone feel at ease and comfortable with the process. Daniel was fantastic for our wedding, we are really delighted with our wedding video. Daniel was so flexible with our budget and preferences, he even allowed us to mix and match packages. He provided drone footage which was amazing. He's a lovely guy too and our guests really enjoyed interacting with him but at the same time hardly noticed his presence. Dan did the video of our wedding and its fabulous. He is extremely professional, reliable, and communicative. He was on time, worked really hard, and did a great job at the wedding and with the video. The video was really well edited and put together lots of brilliant moments and shots. We are really happy with him and his work and highly recommended.

For somebody who was so reluctant to have a videographer I can honestly say I am so happy I changed my mind. You were fantastic to work with on the day - so patient, kind and so unobtrusive!! I honestly didn?t realize you were there most of the time (which for most people is an insult but for you a compliment) Normally I hate seeing myself on video but I love both videos so much!!

Daniel is really the best choice for your wedding videographer! We doubted whether we wanted to have a video made of the day, but are now so glad we did. The movies turned out really beautiful! A great memory of the day. So happy we had them done. We had lovely interactions with Daniel who put us so much at ease.. but for the most part we didn?t really notice him filming all the incredible material he got. Thanks so much for all the work Dan!

Daniel did our videos for our Dec 19 wedding. I was a bit wary as he hadn?t as many reviews as others on weddingsonline but I shouldn?t have been, our videos turned out perfectly we love them. Daniel captures so many moments we hadn?t even noticed happening and it?s so lovely to now be able to watch it all back. My husband was concerned about getting a video as he worried they would be in his face all day and he couldn?t relax but we barely noticed Daniel there on the day.

Really great video of a great day.?Our guests were very surprised and loved seeing themselves again!?Couldn't have imagined a better video.?Service and flexibility really excellent and we?d definitely recommended?Talltales!?Every time we look at it with great pleasure, and I?m always secretly proud to show the short clip to people who ask. The longer video is a great keepsake. So happy with the way everything went.

We are over the moon that Daniel was the videographer at our wedding; he has guided us so wonderfully from the introduction to the delivery of the films. He wanted to get to know us (and our ?story?) and this is reflected in the beautiful videos. Besides a lifelong memory we have from the wedding, with these films we can relive everything, even all the bits we missed on the day which is brilliant - images and sound is all superb! We had Daniel for our wedding day may just gone and he has provided us with amazing memories that will last forever. The short clip sample was provided within a fortnight of our wedding and gave me reassurance of the excellent standard Daniel was working towards.
He was very professional throughout our whole day with him and was never intrusive but still managed to get some amazing footage. Were delighted with our videos and cannot recommend daniel highly enough. Amazing value also which really helps at such an expensive time!

Daniel and Elaine were fantastic throughout our whole wedding day! They were really easy going, lovely to work with, not at all pushy and got some lovely natural scenes of the day. We had laid out a few things we wanted in the video and a few things we didn't, and they accommodated for all of those. We are delighted with both our long and short video and the way it has been edited, the music that was put with it and the overall setting. I have recommended and will continue to recommend tall tales!

From start to finish Dan was a total professional. His calming presence and great humour was a big hit with our guests. He gently faded into the background as we barely noticed his presence on the day. The finished videos are something we will treasure forever. Even right up to delivery of the finished videos Dan was available to answer any query or make a change to the edits.
