Everything from start to finish was amazing! The food was delicious and the service was incredible, The service was fast and the staff were so friendly. Denise was fantastic to deal with, such a lovely person!

We had our wedding reception in the Great National Hotel Ballina on Saturday 8th September and it was amazing from start to finish. We actually can't fault the hotel in anyway. The food was top class and each and every staff member went out of their way to ensure we had the best day of our lives. We have to mention especially Denise the wedding coordinator who is fantastic at her job and was a pleasure to deal with from our very first meeting. She accommodated all of our requests big and small and made the day so enjoyable. Thank you Denise Andrew and all the staff the hotel should be very proud of you all xx Gillian and Paul Boggins xx

Myself and my husband would like to thank Denise and all the amazing staff of the great national hotel for making our wedding on 18/08/18 so perfect . They all went over and above to make sure that our special day ran Smoothly . We had 278 guests and each and every one of them had a fantastic day are raving about it . I had my wedding reception here last Oct and would highly recommend the Great National Ballina if you are looking for wedding venue. Wedding planner Denise is so friendly, approachable and accomadating as well as staff on the day were brilliant! Food was fab and all my requests and adjustments to tasting menu were noted. Function room and hallways have recently been renovated as well and look fab!They offer a great package compared to other hotels in the area and I found them to be very flexible!

We started planning our wedding approx. two years before our ideal date, had planned to look at lots of hotels before deciding on one, but when we walked into the reception area of Hotel Ballina we looked at each other and knew we need look no further! That was before talking to any staff! From that very first day we knew we had made the right choice, all our concerns and requests were taken care of and on 30th April 2011 everything went to plan and I really couldn't have asked for more. Thanks again to all the staff, front of house and behind the scenes.
We'll be back for a few parties!!

I live in Manchester but held my wedding reception here as we got married in Ireland.

On arrival at this hotel you can't help but be impressed with the beautiful reception area, stylish, bright and airy with a beautiful feature staircase and chandelier that worked wonderfully in our photographs. This looks and feels like a high quality hotel.

On check in you are made to feel welcomed by the staff who are efficient helpful and friendly -what more can you ask for? We stayed for the whole weekend as did around 20 of my guests and all commented on how helpful and friendly the staff were.

Part of our package deal involved a meal in McShanes (the bistro) the night before the wedding. To say our expectations were exceeded is an under statement. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent. It was so good most of my party dinned in there again the day after the wedding (the rest were too hung over!!)

The rooms are modern, comfortable and very well kitted out. and spacious. The honey moon suite is beautiful, quite simply one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in.

The wedding reception was truly second to none, what really made it was the attention to detail, the room & table decoration, food, service and general fell of the day were excellent. I can honestly say the staff worked above and beyond the call of duty. I particularly wanted a barbecue in the evening as I hate stuffy and stall buffets. Not only did they do this for me at a very reasonable rate the quality and variety of food on offer was far better than I expected for the price charged. One major plus point was of the room we were in is that it was fully self contained, it had its own bar, WC and adjacent covered smoking area. This works really well as you guests are always around the room rather than been scattered around the hotel.

I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to thank all the staff who looked after us over the course of the weekend, my heartfelt and warmest thanks, in particular Valerie Horan who seemed to be around whenever we needed her and looked after our every need. Thank you all so much,

I will be staying in this hotel again and if you are looking in this area for a great place to stay you will not be disappointed.
