We had our wedding in Langtons in sept 2023 and we couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out! S?an and Louise were absolutely amazing from the start to the very end. We were quite skeptical at one point that everything seems to be going too well and no matter what questions we had or if we wanted any changes to be made, they were handled very quickly and done well! Our wedding day was absolutely amazing, the staff knew what they were doing, everything was so well organised! I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding, party, any event really as I'm sure it would be handled in the same way. The food and service was beautiful, we had steak as one of our options for the wedding meal and we were a little worried as to how they were going to handle cooking so many stakes to everyone's liking but it was all done perfectly! The level or organisation and communication is at the highest level and we genuinely think it was the best decision we could have made! My brother got married at Langtons House Hotel and I instantly fell in love with it , we had the best time and the staff are juat so friendly . So when booking my wedding I wanted Langtons the set theatre has the most amazing atmosphere, the ballroom had such elegance to it and Sean and his team went beyond and more . There was nothing they couldn't do . I only wish I could do it all again .

We had a small intimate wedding reception in Harry's Bar at the end of August. Everything from beginning to end was absolutely perfect. The food was top class as usual and our guests were blown away by the choice of each course. The staff was amazing and so helpful and attentive. We had the perfect day there and wouldn't change a thing.

Sean Read and the Langton's team were brilliant to deal with from the start. We rescheduled twice during Covid and Sean and Langton's facilitated both wedding date changes and accommodation changes as we had booked in a contingent of guests travelling over from the UK! We had a number of face-to-face meetings with Sean and it was a really great way to get to know him and we always felt he listened and always made helpful suggestions. Emails and phone calls were always responded to, and we always felt like they cared - both the wedding and accommodations team whom we mostly dealt with. I would say that Sean really knows his stuff when it comes to how the day will go with timings and the likes and would really encourage couples to take his advice! We had a really lovely meal tasting experience about 6 weeks before the wedding and our feedback was listened to. The meal was fantastic on the day with a huge number of compliments from our guests. We also booked an evening before event in Harry's Bar and the bar staff and restaurant staff were great. On the morning of the wedding the staff were so helpful, and Sean put both of us, bride and groom, at ease. We had Langton's cater our ceremony venue, external to the hotel, for post-ceremony drinks and sweet treats and they provided a fantastic service, everything was spot on. When we arrived to Bridies Bar our guests were all being looked after and content. We had our meal in the ballroom and asked Sean to do a table arrangement to our design and they had set it up beautifully. There was also no issue with staff helping our florist move flowers into the dinner reception as they had travelled over from our ceremony venue. The set up later for the band and Dj in The Set was great and they even moved our decor in there which was really thoughtful. Everyone complimented the evening BBQ food we had. We had an open bar all day and the staff were fantastic at letting us know when the tab had reached certain amounts so we could decide whether to keep the tab open or to close it. Our guests who had stayed a few nights in the hotel were also very happy with their accommodation and all complimented the decor of the hotel and quality of food and service. We couldn't give Langton's and the wedding team anything other than 5 stars, they truly went above and beyond our expectations.

Langtons were brilliant in the lead up to our wedding. And on the day they were amazing. Sean and his team really looked after everyone. Guests said how nice the hotel was and really loved the food! Sean took the stress off trying to find a band and DJ and sorted it all with a discount on how many guests we had! Couldn't be happier. Me and Eoin and all our guests had a wonderful day and would 100% recommend Langtons for a wedding venue!

We knew we picked the right venue for our wedding once we looked through Langtons wedding brochure. We didn't even look anywhere else as everything we wanted was available in one venue. We wanted somewhere that we didn't have to travel between ceremony and venue and also a chilled and relaxed day in the June sunshine and that's exactly what Langtons created for us. From the moment we met Sean, he made sure our requests and needs were well looked after and gave us such guidance. From the menu tasting, picking a band and DJ to choosing a celebrant for our ceremony, Langtons had it all thought of in their wedding brochure so we did not need to look elsewhere. The Set Theatre was stunning for our ceremony and the Langtons Ballroom for our reception was just magical. Each and everyone of our guests commented on how amazing Langtons was as alot of them had never been there before. The wedding meal itself, not one person could fault it and was served by such professional and dedicated staff. We were so delighted to have picked Langtons as our wedding venue and will make sure to visit again and again in the years ahead

We planned our wedding in 2021, unsure of what way covid would affect our wedding. We knew The Set was an option for a smaller gathering and the ballroom was a fantastic option for a larger crowd. We were fortunate enough that our June 2022 wedding would have no restrictions and thus the fun began.
From the outset, Sean Read was an exceptional wedding co-ordinator. There was nothing Sean could not do for us. Louise and himself listened to all our requests e.g. finer details of adding eucalyptus on the menus. Sean continuously kept us up to date, checking in to see if everything was going to plan etc.
We were blown away on our big day. We began around 4.45pm and entered the SET. We were met with champagne on arrival, followed by greeting all our guests in the SET Theatre. Sean ensured we follow him to check out the ballroom ensuring we were happy with everything. Needless to say we were AMAZED! The room was beautiful, the placement of tables was perfect and every detail we had asked for was in place e.g. sweet cart in ballroom, guest books etc.
Our guests are raving about the SET theatre as a pre-drinks reception. It is such an unusual and classy spot. They enjoyed the entertainment, food and drinks there. The food, drink and overall service provided by Langtons and their staff was exceptional. Everyone enjoyed a beautiful 5 course meal, with all allergies, food choices (vegan/vegetarian) catered for. The wine was flowing with three different options. The band and dj rocked it out into the late hours and the sing song at 3pm was great.
The team at Langton House Hotel will always remember their biggest wedding pre-covid as one with dancing at the pre-drinks ceremony ensuring everyone was in for a fun night in store.
A wedding venue we would recommend to all who are on the look out for classy yet modern decor, amazing ambience, delicious food and overall excellent service right through from wedding planning to post wedding review.

Where to start! What a stunning venue. Neither of us had been in Langtons prior to going to view it and we just fell in love straight away. It's not your standard hotel venue, which is what we were after. The decor in all of the different areas is beautiful!
We had to change our wedding date once due to covid, our wedding coordinator Sean could not have been more helpful. Louise who works closely with Sean and all of the team in reservations and the front desk always went above and beyond any time we were in contact.
We had our menu tasting two months before the wedding and we were so well looked after by all of the food and beverage staff.
We had to go from 160 to 100 guests just days before our wedding so there was some quick rearranging to do but everything went off with out a hitch.
We got married in The Set Theatre, we didn't have live music throughout our ceremony but Sean made sure we had our choice of music hooked up to the system in house and it was everything we'd hoped for and more.
Our guests were blown away by everything throughout the day, the food, the service and the setting. We wanted our wedding to be a big party and not too formal and with the help of everyone at Langtons, that's exactly wat it was.
I would highly recommend Langtons to anyone who was thinking of booking.
We can't wait to visit again!

I first viewed langtons in Jan 2019 and fell in love with it straight away and didn't look elsewhere. We visited on a random Sunday but didn't realise should have booked a viewing and every staff member was so nice and treated us so well. Unfortunately had to postpone our original date and Sean and Louise were so accomadating every step of the way. As any bride does be worried about how things will go on the day but we went down the night before and Steve (one of the staff) was amazing and knew he would set up everything so well. We had a few hiccups coming up to the day including our cake supplier cancelling on us the day before! But we were able to get a standard 3 tier but langtons again pulled it out of the bag and made it look great. We really felt at home in langtons especially with having a 3 year old son. All the staff were so friendly and we had a fantastic few days, we look forward to returning for a stay and hope one of our friends get married there so we can return for a wedding experience again. Sean the wedding co ordinator was a pleasure the whole way through. We had 2 cancellations and were always facilitated and looked after well. He was always so kind and even through the worst wedding times he kept us excited about our wedding.
Food and hotel service is top notch.

We had a fabulous wedding weekend, we felt like royalty for the whole time and Sean and him team went above and beyond with making our day so special despite of covid restrictions. I cant wait to go back for our anniversary already! Its such a unique venue you will not be disappointed !

We got married on the 23rd September this year in the sanitized mayhem between the lockdowns with Covid restrictions and social distancing in place at Langtons House Hotel. It was fabulous. From the moment we met Se?n Read, the wedding co-ordinator, we knew we picked the right venue. Se?n was understanding, funny, encouraging, while being sensible and realistic at the same time. He kept us updated throughout the year with government guidelines, what was possible and what not.
Details kept changing up to the day before and nothing was a problem for Sean nor for the staff. I have only praise for them, anybody we dealt with has been absolutely brilliant and they couldn't do enough to assist us. Catherine, Nicola, Fergus, and Ciara were at the end of my emails all throughout my waking hours dealing with room bookings, table seating changes, menus, translations, and they were absolute shining stars behind the perspex screens.
We had our humanist ceremony in the beautifully decorated Set Theatre, followed by an absolutely delicious dinner in the equally gorgeous Ballroom, and then we were back for a tiny bit of enthusiastic dancing at the Theatre before heading to bed.
On the day, while we were understandably nervous, Se?n was there to calm us and reassure us that everything would run smoothly. He did an incredible job, kept a close eye on the proceedings, and made sure we had everything we needed. We had some Polish guests and apart from bilingual menus, Se?n made sure there was a Polish speaking bartender to help if any was needed. All our guests loved the venue, the hotel, and their gorgeous rooms, we still keep hearing more compliments months later. There was a lot of love in the air that day and we think it was, well, due to us, but mostly due to the incredible care of staff to make the day as safe and comfortable for us all.
We both would absolutely recommend Langtons with hands on our hearts for weddings and any other occasions you might think of.

We got married in Langton house hotel on the 17th of January. I could not the praise this venue enough its absolutely stunning in every aspect. We knew the first time we viewed it that it was "the one". We had our drinks reception in the SET theatre which is just absolutely stunning and such a great atmosphere. Followed by our evening reception in the ballroom. All my guests are still raving about how good the food was. But what really stands out most of all about langtons is the service from all the amazing staff, they are helpful in every way and could not do enough. A very special mention to Se?n, from the day we decided on langtons to our wedding day, Se?n was always on hand to answer any questions or to help in any way he could. He is an incredible asset to Langtons. I really could not recommend Langtons enough to any couple on the hunt for the perfect venue.

Everything about Langtons was 5 star. The staff, the food, the service and the venue. Sean is an amazing wedding coordinator and great at what he does! As were all the staff! Always on the ball and quick to answer any queries and put us at ease. We used the Set Theatre for the ceremony and went to the ballroom for the meal. We had the second day in Bridies and everything was just perfect. Langtons followed through with any special requests we asked for going above and beyond. We couldn't fault them on anything!

Once we had a date in mind we set upon finding a venue that was a little different but at the same time we had high expectations of the food and service.
We found this in Langtons and as soon as we set foot in the Set theatre we knew we found what we were looking for.

We had our wedding in Langtons House Hotel on October 24th and honestly we are struggling to try and put into words how amazing it was. From the moment we walked into Langtons just "for a look" while we were scouting different wedding venues, we knew it was the right fit for us. In fact, we booked it there and then! Langtons is absolutely stunning, especially the Set theatre where we had our ceremony, and the magnificent ballroom which can only be described as breathtaking. Our guests all raved about the food (our sincere compliments to the chef!) and the waiting staff who were extremely professional and friendly. The day went absolutely flawlessly and I would absolutely recommend Langtons for your wedding. Now on to Se?n! Se?n met with us when we booked Langtons and stayed in contact with us throughout the planning and organisation of the big day. I really can't speak highly enough of his manner, professionalism and attention to detail. Absolutely nothing was a problem. From little personal touches that we wanted to include on the day, to Se?n altering the fantastic menu to be inclusive of the many vegetarians we had, including me! (the falafel main dish was absolutely amazing!!) Se?n took everything in his stride and made the whole experience thoroughly enjoyable for us. We would also like to mention Lorraine who was just brilliant and took such great care of us on the night, and Louise at reception who was a joy to deal with, especially with my devastating hangover the next morning (sign of a good night!) All of our guests were raving about every single element of the day, especially the staff, food, and atmosphere, and myself and my new husband just can't get over how easy and fun it was to plan. If you are planning a wedding, I can't stress enough just how wonderful it has been. What can I say about Langtons! We had the plessure of having our wedding day here and we loved every minute of it. From the first day we went to see it and met Sean we just knew we wouldnt find anything else like it. It was everything we wanted for our wedding. Everything was amazing from beginning to finish. Myself and bridesmaids and flower girls stayed night before and from then we had nothing to do. Sean is a genius ,amazing at what he does. Makes everything easy and comfortable..

Could not speak highly enough of Sean and all the team in Langtons. They were instrumental in giving my new wife and I one of the best days of our lives. From helping the bridal party get ready and organised for the church, to drinks reception, to dinner and afters in the Set they could not have been more helpful or professional. Myself and my husband Neil had our wedding in the Set theatre on July 19th. It was perfect!!!! Our ceremony was in The Set, we had our drinks reception between Bridie's and the Set courtyard and the meal and dancing were back in the Set that night. Having only ever been to gigs in the Set theatre in the past I was a little nervous about having our wedding in a venue so suited for live bands etc but it was fabulous!!!! The staff had the theatre looking beautiful for both our ceremony and meal. The food was fabulous as it always is in Langtons. The staff could not have been more helpful or polite. S?an was a great help with the planning and Lorraine was an absolute star on the day and made us feel so at ease. Our guests had a fantastic day and are still commenting about how perfect the venue was for a smaller wedding (89 for meal and 50 more to afters). It really was the best day of our lives and we are both so glad that we chose the beautiful Set theatre and the Langton's wedding team for our big day. Having got engaged in September 2017, seven weeks after meeting, Liam and I set about looking for a venue for our Wedding. We had about eight possibilities on our list and having visited the first venue, Langton House Hotel, we knew this was it, offering everything we wanted and more. The Ballroom was ideal in accomodating the 250 guests we intended inviting and the Set theatre, something very different, where our Civil Ceremony would take place. Having met with Sean Read, Banqueting Manager, Wedding Coordinator, skilled in event planning and very professional in his approach, our Wedding day was booked for 27th June, 2019. Sean and his team work very much in harmony with each other and this was very evident from our first engagement with them. We had two menu tastings organised and presented by Damien, who facilitated in tweaking the dishes to satisfy our tastes. Nothing was impossible and his aim was to please. All our needs were catered for and the help extended to us in the preparations and run up to our Wedding was exceptional. Sick and all as Sean was on our Wedding day, he was present to welcome both Liam and I, a sign of pure dedication to his Job and loyalty to us, the Wedding Couple. Lorraine, so warm and caring and Damien took over for the rest of the day, both delivering to the highest standards and facilitating our every needs. Our Wedding was magical from start to finish, thanks to the Management and staff of Langton House hotel. The guests in their entirety have said it was the best Wedding they were ever at complimenting the venue, ceremony, drinks reception, music, food, decor and staff. Our follow up day was in Bridie's bar where Damien's presence and accommodation of our needs was much appreciated. In summary, we would highly recommend Langton House Hotel to any prospective Bride and Groom where your day will be met with fab venue, food, staff, service and memories. If you are thinking of booking Langtons as your venue for your wedding, don't even hesitate, they are amazing. Anything I asked to be done was done. Staff were great and plentiful on the day. Food was superb, served quickly, no waiting around.

The venue is so unique, it gives you so much choice on different sections that you can host your wedding in. We got Married in the Set theatre, drinks reception in Bridies and dinner in the Ballroom, The D?cor in each area stands out on its own. The menu choice and food was really good, it gave different options that you would not see on your standard menu. Sean and his team at Langtons are unbelievable, the service they give is top standard, every need catered for and make the day run as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We stayed for 3 nights over the wedding weekend and from check in to check out we couldn't be happier, it was the best weekend at the best venue. So happy we picked Langtons.

From the moment that my wife and I stepped inside Langtons we knew that it would be a very special place for our wedding. With their quirky bars, beautiful gardens and magnificent theatre everything was in place to make it a wonderful day. But what really makes Langtons special is their wedding organiser Sean Read and all their staff. It is no exaggeration to say that Sean went above and beyond the call of duty on numerous occasions both in the build up and on the day itself. On our wedding day, Langtons' experience of hosting numerous events like this shone through and Sean was a real calming presence in everything he did. Both in terms of value for money and the actual experience itself I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Langtons if were you thinking of a venue for any special occasion.

There are not enough words to describe how fantastic our wedding day was at Langtons, from the ease of check in the night before, to the giant room for getting ready in, I didn't have a thing to worry about, all decorations where put up exactly as requested, the day ran along perfectly, staff at dinner were brilliant almost invisible in the way they glided in and served with discretion, the food itself was delicious, some of our guests had rather specific dietary requirements and these were very well catered for, all day long our needs were anticipated before we knew what we needed it was there. If you are looking to enjoy every moment of your day and want to be sure that yourself and your partner and everyone of your guests receives the attention they require then book Langtons, from initial inquiry to meeting Sean to paying the final bill and everything in between it was all top class service.

What can I say about Langton House Hotel to be honest all the words I could write would never sum up our experience or just how wonderful this place truly is. From our very first meeting with Sean we knew that was it we had to get married there the hotel literally took our breath away with such beautiful rooms what really stood out for us was its not your typical hotel every bit of decor is so quirky and fab but fits so well together. The staff are amazing each and everyone they really couldn't have done enough and made us feel so loved and welcome. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them. The food was superb still now 5months on people are still talking about the food and how it was restaurant quality it was divine to say the least. We were so sad to leave Langtons after the best few days of our lives and because the planning can take a while it felt like we knew everyone and it was like leaving friends. I WOULD 100MILLION% recommend Langtons to any future bride and groom.

I was initially hesitant in choosing Langton House Hotel for my wedding because my own sister had her wedding there a few years ago. However after our first meeting with Se?n we knew we had found not only our venue but a place for our ceremony also! We had our ceremony in the Set Theatre and reception in the Hotel Ballroom. Se?n and his team couldn't do enough for myself, my husband and the wedding party. The wedding package that we chose included all the extras ie band, DJ etc so we had a huge amount of stress taken away from us already. The Set was a gorgeous setting for our intimate Humanist ceremony and the convenience of remaining in the same complex for our reception meant that our guests could relax as soon as the ceremony was over. We even had all of our wedding photos taken on site at the hotel, without having to travel again. The food was absolutely superb. Even at our menu tasting, it was so hard to make a choice as it was all so good! All of our guests were catered for with no fuss, including vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs. The next day we opted to have a small gathering back at the hotel in Bridie's and the staff once again looked after us so well. All of our guests have complimented how Wonderful Langtons was and we had many travel from outside of Kilkenny who were left very impressed and wishing to return. The excellent impression made is down to the hard work and professionalism of Se?n and his team. We had the wedding of our dreams at Langtons. Sean is such a pleasure to work with I honestly don't think the word no is in his vocabulary nothing we put to him was turned down. The staff are amazing, friendly and efficient. The venue itself is so beautiful and different. We got married in the Set had our meal in the ballroom and the afters back in the Set. And it was so perfect. If you want a wedding that doesn't blend into a sea of other weddings, you want something different that people will be talking about long after it's over we recommend Langtons we just wish we could do it all again. From the day we went to view the venue to the day of the wedding itself we couldn't speak highly enough of Sean and the team at Langtons. We knew within minutes of arriving that the venue was perfect for us. The wedding packages we found were very reasonable and also very flexible. We hired our own band and were able to amend the price without any issue. The Set Theatre is a fabulous venue for an intimate wedding, full of character and the acoustics for the music we had during our ceremony was excellent. Sean was there throughout the day of our wedding. He was a gentleman and it was evident he cared to provide the best possible day the hotel could provide us. This was not only noticed by us but many of guests commented on the quality of the service they received also. Everything from the food, wine, decor and service was top class and we would have no hesitation in providing Langton House Hotel with a recommendation to any couple planning their wedding day.

Best decision we made was picking Langtons for our wedding! Complete professionals, everything we needed was looked after with no problems! The venue is perfectly set up for a Friday wedding and the packages offered are brilliant value. 10/10.

We had our wedding reception in Langtons earlier this year & couldn't recommend it highly enough. It was an absolute pleasure to deal with Sean who organised everything for us - from day 1 we knew we had made the right choice in choosing Langtons. We had our wedding in Langton House Hotel on 3rd of January 2019. We had the ceremony in the Set Theatre and afters on the Ballroom. We fell in love with the hotel the moment we had a look around as the staff and atmosphere and setting were exactly what we were looking for. We meet Sean by chance as we were in Kilkenny for a few days. We only went to have a look around and ended up booking the wedding. He was so friendly and a pleasure to deal with was were all the staff on our many trips to the hotel before and since the wedding. Our guests had an amazing day. The food was delicious and the rooms here are fantastic. We couldn't fault the hotel. And we will be back soon as it's one of our favourite places to go. It's now like home from home. Ros & Eddie

There was never any doubt that we wanted our wedding reception in Langton's. Having spent a lot of time frequenting the night club when we were younger and attending numerous family events, communions, confirmations and christenings along with the gorgeous restaurant food and decor we knew that this was the right place, and we didn't even look at any other venues. The first time we met with Se?n Read confirmed that we had made the right choice, we knew we were in fantastic hands and once we had all the small details finalised, we would have nothing to worry about on the day and we were right. Se?n and all of his team were extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the whole planning process and everything came together so well in the end. We had our drinks reception in the beautiful SET theatre, our gorgeous meal in the stunning Ballroom and back to the SET for our evening reception, which worked out so well and all of our guests thought this was great as the band were set up and ready to go in the SET after the meal. On the day, everything went like clockwork (and if anything didn't we didn't even know about it or realise) - the staff were excellent, all of our guests with special requests were looked after with ease. I specifically remember Lorraine helping me out with sourcing some pins to tack up my dress for our first dance, nothing was a problem! and Eamonn Langton coming to wish us congratulations throughout the meal. The girls on reception were always efficient with email replies and special requests. All of our guests had nothing but high praise for the venue itself, the food, the staff and the excellent service and attention to detail. After all it's the little things that matter most! Our Wedding Day really was the best day ever and we have the most amazing memories, every time we visit Langton's now it takes us right back and I would highly recommend it to any couple searching for an ideal venue. It's what they do, and what they do best :)

Langtons is just amazing! I was never going to have my wedding reception anywhere else and they did not disappoint. The setting of Langtons is just perfect. We had our reception in the set theatre and then the meal in the ballroom. we took our photos in Bridies and they turned out just amazing. The food was the highlight. Our guests were delighted with the choice, quality and quantity. I just love Langtons and love that it is still a family run business. The entire experience was full of lovely personal touches, in which you are made feel so special on your day. Sean never made any question or request seem too much. He was calm and relaxed the whole way, which is the reassurance you need. I would recommend Langtons to anyone without any hesitation, it has something for everyone topped with elegance and calm.

Langtons house hotel is an outstanding wedding venue. From the second we had our first meeting right through until the day after our wedding they were excellent- they went above and beyond, always organised and professional and gave us the freedom to have the wedding we wanted. Anything we wanted to do or organise it was no problem. Sean reid is a HUGE asset to the team. He is outstanding at his job , very organised and calm and prompt and a real gentleman.
On the day everything was 110%- the food the venue the service were all amazing. Most weddings one of the complaints people have is the waiting throughout the meal but not here! The service is excellent and perfectly timed and thats as a result of so much experience in this area. We loved our day and if we were to do it again langtons would 100% be our choice again -we have no regrets?

Our wedding was the best day of our lives and our guests have all said it was one of the top weddings they've ever been to in joint first place to my sisters wedding who also got married in the amazing venue that is Langton house hotel. From the moment we entered Langtons on our viewing we felt at home and like we were special to every staff member we met. This feeling grew and carried on through all of the planning and right through to we left the venue as husband and wife. Sean and the team are so accommodating. We had a different run of our day, we got married in the fabulous set theatre, we went straight to dinner in the beautiful ballroom followed by a cocktail hour out the back, we then partied right on through the night in the ballroom, the next day in bridies and the morning after before going home. All of the staff were professional at all times and more importantly helpful. I had a lot of special requests and although I thought I would be putting them out they made me feel better and made them all happen. The price we paid was excellent. The food was amazing. I cannot recommend this venue enough and sometimes wonder why anyone would go anywhere else.

Absolutely amazing venue. The actual place is amazing, but the staff are equally amazing. We really really had the best day ever. The hospitality, friendliness and service of this hotel is what every other hotel should try live up to.
