Mountain View

"From the moment we arrived at Mountain View for our initial meeting, we knew it was the place for us! The beautiful, tree-lined entry and breathtaking views across the hills of Ballyhale instantly had us thinking of all the amazing photo options. We were greeted by the fabulous, Bee - the straight-talking, hardworking, charismatic owner of Mountain View. Lovely Sharon then took over our show around and could not have been more helpful or open to our wedding ideas. We secured the date there and then!

As the months/weeks went on Sharon was always so responsive and helpful, signposting us to recommended vendors and meeting with us via zoom to work out details. From these recommendations, we hired the amazingly talented Michelle of Gypsy Rose Wildflower and Eliza from Mano Bespoke Weddings, with her keen eye for detail and and beautiful finishing touches! Both vendors work onsite which made it so much easier for us when planning the day. We dropped into Showcases at the venue to get an idea of what we wanted in styling and were always greeted with smiles and hugs and genuine excitement for our big day!

As with every wedding, so much time and planning goes into it which meant stress levels were high! However, on meeting the team a few days before, the stress melted away! Bee, Eliza and Ross greeted us and went through every detail with us, reassuring us they had it all in hand. We left absolutely buzzing for the wedding day!

On the day, Bee was our main woman! Our wedding coordinator, if you like. Her and her amazing team had everything organized seamlessly and the day ran like clockwork. The venue looked absolutely STUNNING thanks to the phenomenal duo that are Michelle and Eliza! It was everything we wanted, and more!! From the draped fabric and candles to the stunning flower boxes and bouquets, they met the brief and then some!! We're still looking back at pictures, taking in the details we missed on the day with the adrenaline of it all!

From start to finish, the day was perfect! The food, the drinks, the decor, the staff, the yurts, the brekkie - everything was spot on! So much hard work went into delivering the day and everyone had an amazing time. We cannot thank Bee, Sharon, Michelle, Eliza, Ross and all the team at Mountain View enough! Guys, you helped make one of the best days of our lives so special and we'll be forever grateful to you for it. Thank you!

I could honestly write a whole book about how perfect this destination was for our wedding. We had our civil ceremony and drinks reception in The Cow Shed, followed by our wedding reception in the Marquee, both were just magical.

One of the most unique things about this venue is that when you book your wedding here, you get exclusive access to the entire grounds. That’s incredibly rare and made everything feel so special and personal.

The attention to detail in every aspect of the décor, the amazing food (our guests are still raving about the meal months later!), the delicious cocktails (YUM), and most of all....The Staff. They are truly in a league of their own. You can see their passion and genuine care in everything they do. They go above and beyond to make sure your day is everything you dreamed of and more and for us, it absolutely was!!!

(I'm already dreaming up an excuse to book here again for another celebration!!😊)

Everything about Mountain View gave us the wedding we dreamed of, Bee, Eliza, Michelle, Ross and every other member of staff matched the spectacular venue, food and views to give us the most amazing weekend to celebrate our Wedding day.

Honestly i knew from the moment we booked the venue how amazing the team were here . They couldnt so enough for us on the lead up to our big day . They were so helpful and nothing was an issue . I look forward to going back every chance we get . Not to mention how beautiful the venue is . It rained all evening on our day but the interior didnt disappoint the team made it so special for us . The food was the thing everyone commented on the most . Things that food dreams are made of . loved every single thing on our menu the guests still rave about it now . The chief made a special dairy free menu just for me because im lactose intolerant . It was insane loved every bite . Wish we could do it all again . Thank you so much to the whole team id highly reccomend mountain view for anyone looking for something different on their special day????

The venue is beautiful and we were able to get some breathtaking photos over looking Kilkenny. The food was absolutely outstanding and could not be faulted in the slightest. Miriam was brilliant and truly helped wherever she could to make the day memorable for us. The few let downs we had were, the children never got to feed the alpacas on the day and we were unable to use the golf cart (both had been prearranged) There was also confusion on the timings as the 2 people we had been in contact with in the lead up to the day were not present on the wedding day. We had to keep correcting the other lady present on the timings and this left us (and our photographer and videographer) feel a little rushed. The marquee is beautiful but did get quiet cold during the meal even with the heating on. We didn't stay on site so cannot comment on the glamping but having looked in them, they do look fabulous. Overall a fabulous venue that I can see being incredible if a few tweaks are made.

We cannot recommend Mountain View enough, our guests were wowed with the Venue, Food and atmosphere. The attention on the day from the wedding co coordinator was so personal and relaxed and we were able to be ourselves and enjoy the day with our guests with no worries.

We were looking for something different for our Wedding and Mountain View was perfect for us and we didnt have to do anything apart from show up and enjoy our day , Well Done to the team involved

Every member of the Mt View staff were amazing to work with and made the day truly our best day ever. So many of our guests were full of compliments for the food, the marquee, the cow shed, the staff and the overall atmosphere. They were incredibly accommodating to children which made all the difference to parents. Mountain View was perfectly suited for us and I think we were relaxed and confident which informed the whole day, people love the chill atmosphere you instill.

We recently had our summer wedding at Mountain View and it couldn't have been any more of a
perfect experience from start to finish.
In the lead-up to the wedding, Sharon took all the stress away, she painted a beautiful picture in
our minds of how the day would go. We booked our wedding from overseas and only got the
opportunity to view the venue two weeks beforehand.
We had our ceremony and reception at Mountain View. The weather was fine so we got married
in the gardens - the outdoor arrangements for the ceremony were perfect, nestled amongst
mature trees and manicured gardens. Their service and attention to detail were flawless. Miriam
and James were our hosts and managers on the day. Both were experienced and attentive,
checking-in with us at key points throughout the day to ensure everything ran smoothly.
The food was outstanding, and everyone's meal was perfect in terms of taste and presentation.
The grounds are stunning and there are so many beautiful backdrops and quirky areas to
achieve amazing photographs
Bea also made us feel so welcome and very much like family. I am so grateful for all her
wonderful and reassuring advice, she really put is at ease. Wedding planning can be difficult but
I never once needed to worry about the venue. We had no complaints about the day at all, it
was such a wonderful experience, I just wish we could do it all again!

"Our wedding day at mountain view was something out of a fairy tale! We chose Mountain View
because of the spectacular atmosphere, but what we got was so much more. The staff and
organisers at Mountain View (Sharon, James, Bee, Miriam, and everyone else) made everything
so easy. Our wedding had to be postponed due to covid, and they made everything so easy for
us. When the big day finally arrived, we were in absolute awe of the beauty of the greenhouse
decorations, the sunset over the hills after dinner, and the impeccable food. We cannot count
how many guests are still raving about how incredible the wedding food was. We were also
delighted to be the first guests to stay in the honeymoon suite on site, and had a wonderful
evening sleeping under the stars!

Our wedding at Mountain View was everything we hoped for...and so much more. From my
initial call with Sharon to arrange a viewing of the venue I knew we had chosen the right place.
Sharon was so helpful, kind, and accommodating throughout the whole planning stages.
On the day itself, Bea, Miriam, James, and all the staff were incredible, making sure the whole
day went smoothly and we didn't have to worry about a thing. I can't thank them enough for
making the day so special.
All our guests raved about the food, the views, the beautiful ceremony set up...they all had a
fantastic time. And so did we...it's a day we'll never forget. Thank you to all at Mountain View. -

Amazing venue! In the small village of Ballyhale between Kilkenny and Waterford, set high enough to enjoy the lovely landscape views, full use of the outside covered large pergola where we had our ceremony, the beautiful bar area (green room) for our drinks reception and the amazing marquee for our meal and dancing into the night. staff had everything covered, very pleasant and a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I couldn't rate this venue high enough????????

Where do I begin......from the moment we visited mountain view we were in awe. It can only be summoned up as amazing. The first day we made contact with mountain view to enquire about weddings we were greeted with the most helpful lady, Sharon. As planning a wedding was all very new and a learning curve for us. Sharon helped in every way possible by answering all our queries, providing all the needed information and gave us so many options and ideas from the get go. It was the best decision we made to book our wedding at mountain view as the responsiveness from Sharon was second to none. She made everything so easy for us and no request was too much, very accommodating. Leading up to the wedding we met with Bee and James also and all we can say is they are so genuine and gifted in what they do. They made the day special for us in very way possible and the same goes for all the staff in mountain view. The day itself was absolutely fantastic from the decor, to the natural view, the attention to every single detail and the quality of the food and drink was truly superb. We and the guests had the best day up right through to the night.it was the wedding we always dreamed of and more. So we can safely say we 100% recommend mountain view. What an amazing place with fantastic people and what an amazing day we had. Thanks to everyone at mountain view for everything. If we could give more than 5 stars we would!

We had an absolutely amazing day and we enjoyed every second of it! Everything worked out so perfectly and looked beautiful! Everyone in attendance was blown away by the setting, the food and the kindness of the staff. We all felt so catered for and anything we asked for was done! All our guests had such a great time and we've had so many comments saying it was one of the best weddings ever!

We could not recommend Mountain View more highly! We had the most amazing day and that was all down to the O'Neill family. From our first interactions with Bea and Michael right through all the planning with Sharon the wedding planner, everyone could not have been more helpful. The venue itself is simply stunning, and Beas attention to detail resulted in the venue looking like a winter wonderland on the night, creating the most beautiful atmosphere. The food by Marie Rafferty was exquisite, we never had so many guests complimenting the food. On the wedding day itself Bea, Michael, and all the team were simply outstanding and could not have been more helpful. This stunning venue, with exquisite food combined with the warmth of the O'Neill family makes for the most unforgettable 5 star wedding experience.

We wanted a location that could hold at least 240 people but had an emphasis on the outdoors. We found a lot of locations held the wedding in a ballroom without windows, but we specifically wanted a summer wedding where we could enjoy a view of the outdoors. We fell in love with the landscape and the marquee as soon as we saw it. The wedding team at Mountain View were excellent and helped us through every stage of the preparations for our big day. It is such a beautiful and perfect setting, and has a very personal service. The food is outstanding; we found our menu tasting very difficult as everything was delicious and so beautifully presented!
It was great as we could take our wedding photos on the golf course with spectacular views of the countryside and a beautiful backdrop of the lake. We really felt we got to spend so much time with our guests. The marquee is a perfect size for all guests to be comfortable. We had such a fantastic day in June and we treasure our memories from our wedding day!

Staff and management were excellent from the word go. We felt that our experience really mattered to them personally and no request was too big or too small to try to accommodate. We were looked after with care on the day and the venue looked amazing.
