Everything was of absolute EXCELLENCE with Tankardstown House. From the food, to the venue, to the staff who rallied around myself and my husband and absolutely everybody else, making everyone feel at ease and at home. I can't thank the venue enough for their help with my planning and especially on the big day. No other wedding venue would top this. A pure luxury to have gotten married at the stunning Tankardstown House. All of our guests were raving about their rooms and how well looked after they were. Thank you so much for everything.

We had our wedding in My 2024 and it was the best day. From the day we viewed Tankardstown to our wedding day from start to finish everything was amazing, The staff and their attention to detail was brilliant and our wedding coordinator Gemma was amazing and super professional. This venue has such a special place in our hearts and it is with thanks to Tankardstown and their team for making our dream wedding a reality.

We could not have ask for more from the staff at Tankardstown house, they made our day absolutely perfect. Not one thing was too much for them and to be honest we didn’t have to ask for anything because they were also one step ahead and had everything organised perfectly. From the moment we stepped on site in Tankardstown we fell in love and knew we wanted to celebrate our wedding there. Tankardstown made organising our wedding incredibly easy from planning the guest accommodation to organising the all the little details of the day. We could not recommend Tankardstown enough and are only sad that our day is over.

The venue was beautiful and our wedding coordinator was lovely and helpful in the lead up to the wedding. Communication was a little difficult at times as they only deal with you over email. We weren’t given a contact number for our wedding coordinator. The staff that managed the bedrooms and guest allocation was also very good and helpful. Some of the service staff on the day seemed a bit stressed and were rude to a couple of guests. There were one or two things we had planned that the venue staff told us they would manage but in the end they didn’t do it which was a little disappointing. And we left behind a good few items including our unity and remembrance candles that were never given back to us. We don’t know for certain but likely thrown away unfortunately. The venue doesn’t allow you to bring in outside food or alcohol, so we weren’t able to have the Prosecco truck for example. They will offer to try do something for you themselves which is of course an extra expense. They do offer late bar and music can play late which we were grateful for. The food was really good including the late night food. We were allowed to have noiseless fireworks which was a special moment to our day. Overall we had the best day ever and we enjoyed every minute of it. I would recommend Tankardstown to others. Just to be conscious of some of the limitations which every venue will have.

From the moment we first drove up the long driveway at Tankardstown House, we knew this was a special place. We booked our wedding the first time we visited and from then on the entire experience with them was amazing. Everything was planned and executed perfectly, from the planning to the tasting to all the last minute details. Our coordinator Aine was just fabulous to deal with and made sure everything on the day went smoothly. It was everything we could have hoped for and more, we can’t wait to go back for our 1st anniversary in December!

From the day we stepped in to view the venue until the morning after the wedding when we left the staff were simply outstanding. Yes the venue and grounds are stunning, however the staff are INCREDIBLE & what made it for me. Aine our wedding coordinator was with us every step of the way & she went above and beyond to make sure it all went perfect. Sarah Jane was a trooper too organising all the rooms and making sure we had everything we needed and everyone was looked after. Fran was literally like an appearing angel, there at the right time everytime we needed anything. All the waiting staff, the driver and our amazing barman Jordan. Thank you all for the most magical day which we couldnt have had without you. Wish we could do it all again xxx

Amazing experience working with Tankardstown to plan our special day. I especially want to recognise our wedding planner Ruth White in Tankardstown, she was a great deal of help especially in the few weeks running up. Overall the day was amazing and all guests continue to complement the venue, food and service. Everything went as planned and wish I could do it all again.

Tankardstown house was the perfect venue from the moment we stepped foot on site. The team were phenomenal and the service was next to none. Aine our coordinator was brilliant and was Sarah Jane on reservations as we had allocated guests their rooms. Absolutely loved the day and it was perfect in every way. The bridal prep suite is gorgeous and the orangery itself is stunning. Can't fault it. Will definitely visit again to celebrate our anniversary.

My review is mixed because I was really let down by the way my complaints were dealt with.
The venue of course is stunning and the majority of people really enjoyed themselves. There were a few problems with the rooms and people not receiving their dinner. The steaks were all well done despite ordering medium and bride and groom medium rare. Break down of bar bill was never provided despite being requested following morning.
Breakfast service was disappointing.
Overall it didn't ruin the wedding it was just very disappointing that there was no follow through and the venue seemed to not care at all about any of the issues we had.
In the lead up Gemma was absolutely amazing.
Felt very let down that there was no follow up or acknowledgment that mistakes were made but I guess once they have your money that doesn't matter!

Tankardstown Hotel was our dream wedding venue and it met and exceeded all of our expectations. We are still hearing from our guests that it was the best wedding they were ever at. The food was out of this world and praised by all. The service was outstanding and all requests were catered for. The grounds and rooms are beautiful. It will always be the best wedding venue to us.

What a stunning venue, we fell in love instantly. Our initial interaction with Sarah, our wedding co-ordinator, was fantastic but unfortunately she went on maternity leave, just weeks before our wedding. The handover, or lack there of, was very poor. We were 'introduced' to Aine, new co-ordinator, via a response to an email sent to Sarah. The standard of service was simply not the same from there on in. There was a number of issues in the days leading up to the wedding, which Tadhg -GM, handled with the utmost professionalism.
Both Tadhg and Des went over and above to make our day special, but sadly there was some very disappointing moments throughout. The most frustrating being Aine not following the musicians instructions when counting us in for our entrance, which sadly ruined our video and photographs. We relayed this information in the following days but have yet to receive an apology, or any response.

Tankardstown House is unreal wedding venue, the day went very smoothly, and all the guests impressed by the venue and the food.

Tankardstown is such a magical place, the venue, the food, the staff, everything is exceptional. They couldn't of made our day any better, all our guests felt the same way. Wish we could do it all over again! Thank you so so much to Sarah, Fran and all the team!

Tankardstown was our immediate choice as soon as we got engaged. A stunning venue, the most friendly staff and amazing food, our guests were so impressed and we had the best day, We dealt with Gillian on the run up to the day who was so helpful and made recommendations for the day to run smooth. Fran on the day was was again so helpful and great fun, I had heard from others about how great he was and he lived up to the hype! Wish we could do it all again and can't wait to return soon for a night away or hopefully another wedding!

We had been planning our wedding with tankardstown since 2019, the pandemic pushed it out two years. From the very beginning, we worked with Sarah who was nothing but professional, responsive, detail oriented, and so friendly. Once it got closer to the wedding, Sarah allowed me to go through every detail with her, there were a ton of emails back and forth and zoom calls. She made the entire experience very positive and was easy to work with. Again, we live in New York and have never been to Ireland, let alone to the venue. Some people thought we were crazy. I also have a disabled father who is in a wheelchair that needed very specific accommodations. When we arrived at tankardstown, we were in complete awe of the beauty. The grounds were just exceptional. The staff immediately greeted us and started helping us with our bags. Our party was the only one on site and we all arrived from New York, on one bus, at one time, 53 of us. All of the staff was so friendly and helpful. They handled my father's accommodations beautifully and I couldn't be more thankful. He was driven from the house to the Barbazon every time and stayed in the library suite since it's on the main floor. The other accommodations were also so beautiful and comfortable. Our guests stayed in the main house, the cottages, the barn, and the stables, all stunning and comfortable. The bridal suite was stunning, I felt like a princess. One of my biggest concerns was the food?we are Italians from New York. I have to say, the food was delicious. I mean, we have been to so many weddings and you rarely ever remember the food. But our guests could not stop talking about the food. We had our rehearsal dinner in the Barbazon and it was just perfect. Everything completely exceeded our expectations. I'm sad that it's over and I hope to visit the venue one day again. Fran also gets a special shout out, he's the man. The late night food was also so good and came out at the perfect time. I can't say enough good things about the venue, staff, food, and our experience!!

Tankardstown was an absolute dream of a wedding venue!
We originally booked the venue during COVID, having only seen parts over zoom. When we finally had a chance to see the venue in person, we were blown away!
Planning the wedding from abroad was also challenging, but wedding support team was excellent and so flexible! We couldn't have asked for a better team.
The wedding day was absolutely amazing, and we are still in awe of the amazing job Tankardstown did. Every single detail was done perfectly, the food was amazing, the drinks were great, and a special shout-out to Fran, who was an absolute star! Literally there to help with every little request and detail!
We cannot thank the team at Tankardstown enough. It truly was the most magically venue, with guests will talking about what a dream it was!

Tankardstown House is an amazing venue for any couple. Organising a wedding during COVID was really challenging and the only constant was the team at Tankardstown House. They were extremely responsive and supportive to any query or suggestion and made you feel at ease from the moment you booked. The main feedback I have received from my wedding guest was the wedding felt like it has been hosted by a family, all the staff were extremely inviting and kind and became part of the wedding. I truly cannot thank the team at Tankardstown House enough for everything they have done and how special they made our day.

Our wedding day at Tankardstown was everything we could have ever dreamed of. The house and grounds are immaculate and beautiful, such a lovely backdrop for photos. All the staff were amazing, and especially Emily for all her hard work in the run up to our wedding.
The meal was fantastic, everyone is still commenting on it! And even the beautiful cocktails too, the espresso martini is great!

Our wedding at Tankardstown was everything we could have dreamed of and more.
From our first viewing when we met the lovely Gillian we instantly fell in love.
The venue itself is simply stunning and has to be seen to be believed but what really made our wedding was the level of service we received. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Tankardstown and we truly felt like royalty for the weekend. We had some small babies in the immediate wedding party and the team could not have been more accommodating in ensuring our little ones were looked after.
The food was sublime and every guest we have spoken to since the wedding has romanced about their meal and the wonderful time they had on the day.
Special thanks to Gillian, Tadgh and Fran who went out of their way to make it a weekend we will never ever forget.
We will most definitely be making Tankardstown an annual destination to visit on our anniversary as it will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Tankardstown was the first and only wedding venue we looked at when we started wedding planning. After visiting the venue and speaking with our wedding coordinator, Gillian, we cancelled our other viewings because we knew we had found our perfect venue. The grounds are gorgeous and the house has so many charming areas! We were lucky enough to have an outdoor wedding in the courtyard and it was absolutely stunning. We had an Indian/Irish ceremony and the entire team was so accommodating and helpful in helping us organize the event. Gillian was absolutely amazing during the planning process and all of our requests were met with enthusiasm. We could not be happier with our wedding day and the entire team at Tankardstown went above and beyond to ensure a memorable weekend for us and all of our guests!

Tankardstown House and all the staff working there are incredible! From the moment we drove through the gates onto the beautiful avenue, we started admiring the immaculately groomed gardens and the elegance of Tankardstown House ahead, we knew this was our ?wedding venue?!

The staff at Tankardstown are wonderful. They exude professionalism on all levels, they were a huge support to us in the build up to our wedding, and ensured that our wedding day ran seamlessly.
The venue itself is pure luxury. We loved the intimacy of sharing it with our family, friends and loved ones on our wedding day. Our guests enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere in the reception rooms before going to the Orangery where they experienced exquisite culinary delights. The d?cor, the brightness and warmth of the Orangery allowed our guests to sit back while enjoying our fabulous wedding menu. Everyone soaked up their surroundings on the day and danced the night away!

Our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed our wedding, the wonderful hospitality they received from staff and ALL the amazing food they tasted. We can wholeheartedly say that we had the best day of our lives in the intimacy of Tankardstown House with all of our loved ones. It was a truly magical experience and it was all down to all the brilliant staff working there.

Everything about Tankardstown is just amazing, the grounds, the staff and the food. Our guests are still talking about the venue and the day itself. We absolutely loved our wedding in Tankardstown and would definitely recommend it to anyone. There are so many positives to mention about the venue (stunning location and venue, fantastic food etc) but the real selling point for me is the staff.
We had Sarah as our wedding organiser and she was so helpful throughout the process dealing with the many different questions we had, helping us to plan out the day and made everything run smoothly so that we didn't have to worry about anything. I can't speak highly enough of her.
Tadhg was brilliant for all things to do with the food from the tastings right through to the BBQ on the second day, accommodating the food requirements of every guest.
A special mention to Fran who was always there to make sure everything was going as planned and making sure everyone was enjoying the day, down to the smallest touches like knowing the names of our nieces and nephews to make sure they were happy with their meals.
Overall it was the perfect venue for us where we were able to have an outdoor ceremony in the gardens and enjoy a fun and relaxing weekend with our family and friends.

You won't be disappointed if you choose Tankardstown as your wedding venue. From the moment we met Sarah at the October 2017 open day we knew nothing would top it. We had our wedding May 2019 and booked the entire weekend which was the best decision. There is so much to say I don't even know where to start! The house itself and grounds make for some amazing pictures, we took all of our wedding shots there which saved time and meant we could mingle with guests at the reception. The options for canapes and drinks on arrival are really impressive and plenty of them. Our guests were blown away by the choice they had. The rooms have a real wow factor and you can tell they are well looked after, candles lighting everywhere is a lovely touch. The bedrooms both in the main house and in the guest houses are fantastic, everyone that stayed commented on how lovely they were and it's great to be able to have the entire venue to yourself if you want. The food for the dinner is nothing short of amazing, nobody will be disappointed. One of the hardest choices we had to make was deciding the menu because it was all delicious. The orangery is such a gorgeous room it doesn't need much decorating. We had our BBQ in there on day 2 also. Sarah, Fran, Tadhg and the team in Tankardstown really know how to make your day special, nothing was to much to ask and everyone was so pleasant to deal with.
