We had our wedding recently in Darver Castle and it was the most amazing day. Anne our co-ordinator was brilliant from start to finish, the minute we visited Darver we felt at home. The atmosphere was just so lovely. We had to change our wedding date due to my mam becoming ill 2 weeks before the wedding and all the staff were amazing and so accommodating. We set our new date and was full steam ahead again. Mary was amazing, she’s takes such pride in her work and was there from the very beginning when I pulled up to serving the sandwiches at the end of the night. Adrienne was amazing on the day aswell, all staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food was so tasty and everyone had enough food!! Guests commented it was one of the best weddings they had been too. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. I could go on and on but you won’t regret booking darver for your big day!

Darver Castle is the best wedding venue in Ireland, we could not recommend it highly enough, We got married there in February 2023 and from first contact onwards, Anne and the team were amazing. So helpful and responsive and nothing is too much trouble. Our wedding day was incredible, most of our guests told us it was the best meal they have ever eaten at a wedding, the steaks are delicious! Our day ran perfectly, Adrienne and the team kept everything on track and running smoothly and absolutely everything went to plan. We are so happy that we chose Darver as our venue and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone!

Stop looking and book your wedding at Darver Castle, Anne and the whole team deserve every ounce of praise possible our day was everything we could have wanted and more. We planned our wedding from overseas, Anne and the team made the whole process seamless we did not once feel wedding planning was stressful. The bridal suite for getting ready at is a perfect space to relax and enjoy the build up with your party, the ceremony room is a beautiful space to celebrate your wedding, the weather on our day didn’t allow for much photos on the grounds but if you have the weather they are beautiful with lots of different settings, if like us the weather is not playing ball we still managed some creative and beautiful photos without getting wet, our guests have all said it’s the best wedding venue they have ever been to the food, service, rooms, venue everything was outstanding. We wanted a homely/country feel with a beautiful setting Darver was everything and more.

Our wedding at Darver Castle in December 2022 was even more amazing than we ever could have imagined! From the moment we viewed the venue and met Anne and the team, we felt so welcome and at home, and truly supported through all of our wedding planning. The Darver Team could not do enough for us to make our day completely perfect, both in the lead up and on the day itself. All of our guests were commenting on the beautiful grounds, the decoration inside the castle and how attentive all of the staff were through the reception and meals. We cannot recommend Darver Castle highly enough as a wedding venue – we just wish we could do it all over again!!

We had our Wedding in Darver Castle in October 2022. It was the most magical day from start to finish. The whole team in Darver were so helpful and everything just ran so smoothly, all our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food was. I am so glad we choose Darver Castle for our special day

We booked Darver for our wedding on September 21st 2022, when we first went to visit Darver we went with my mother and father in law, they explored the gardens while we were shown around the venue. After a very thorough tour we were brought to the kitchen and given homemade baked goods, coffee and they also went out to invite my mother and father in law in for tea / coffee. In the lead up to our wedding Darver were amazing, they constantly responded to our queries and kept us up to date on all planning and developments. They were nothing but nice to us the entire time, Anne and Ruth are a credit to this venue and without them planning our wedding would have been a lot more stressful. On the wedding day, things went swimmingly the room was setup, the rooms were ready for guests, the bar was open. Even a small hiccup in our guests accommodation was rectified by the team and everyone had a room. Our ceremony was held in Darvers ceremony room which was decorated beautifully with lights and flowers. We then had full use of the castle, the gardens and the surrounds for our photos and are delighted with how the day was run, the canapes and drinks on arrival were delicious and the strawberry daiquiris were lovely. Our dinner was amazing, we choose the steak, chicken in parma ham and the cod. We also had a number of vegetarians in our party who were catered for. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. Our starters the brie and bacon tarts were lovely, the steak was to die for and the apple crumble was one of the best i’ve ever had. The staff at this time were brilliant working like a well oiled machine. After dinner it was time to dance the night away and Darver had the room changed with minimal fuss and disruption to our guests. I couldn’t recommend Darver enough to anyone who is looking to get married here, we haven’t had a single complaint from any of our guests who all said it was one of the best weddings they have been to. Thank you for making our day so wonderful!

We fell in love with Darver Castle the moment we set foot there on the viewing evening. Everything about the venue is exquisite from the old style castle bedrooms, the farmhouse style kitchen and bar, the banquet hall and the beautiful gardens. We could not wait have our wedding reception here and celebrate with all our friends and family. To say the venue exceeded our expectations is an understatement. Everything was perfect from start to finish, the food was gorgeous and the staff were so helpful and friendly, with a special mention for Anne and Mary for everything they did for us in the lead up and on the day. Ourselves and all of our guests were so impressed with the venue, and we would not hesitate to recommend Darver Castle as the ideal wedding venue.

We got married in Darver Castle in September and had the best day. Right from start to finish of our experience we were looked after and the planning process was seamless. Ruth was an amazing co-ordinator on the day of our wedding. We were treated like royalty. All of our guests commented on the standard of the food which was UNBELIEVABLE. We still talk about the dinner we had! The rooms are so nice and the beds are sooooo comfortable. My sisters stayed with their kids and were made to feel very comfortable.

Chris and I had our wedding in Darver Castle on August 12, 2022 and everything was perfect from start to finish. We planned our wedding from Canada during the pandemic, so we didn't even have a chance to visit Darver Castle before we booked it. But we took a chance and it definitely paid off for us. Anne was great throughout, video chatting with us, reassuring us that everything would be fine despite us not being there and responding to our many questions in a timely manner. We needn't have doubted anything as I don't think we could have picked a better venue for our reception, from the warm welcome we got upon arrival, to the delicious food and quality service, to the gorgeous rooms and hearty breakfast the next morning. Our guests spoke so highly of the castle also and many said it was the best wedding they were ever at, which had a lot to do with the gorgeous castle, beautiful grounds, world class hospitality and attentive staff. The wonderful team gave us a pristine venue but it’s the people at Darver that made everyone feel so special. Such an amazing place.

We had our wedding at Darver July 12, 2022. From our first visit to Darver it was a no brainer to us. Living in the States and planning a wedding from overseas at first was a daunting task to us but once we took that visit to Darver it was immediate relief and excitement. Anne and Julia filled us with confidence that nothing would be too big of a task planning from the States. They went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The venue itself is just breath taking. The place is so well kept, and the gardens are just beautiful. We are foodies and had heard great reviews on the food. This was one of the biggest reasons we chose Darver and they did not disappoint. Our guests were still talking about their meal several weeks after the wedding. The extra little touch of having tea and cake in the kitchen at the end of the night was just class. We had just over 20 guests remaining that Mary invited in for tea. It was such a lovely time to wind down the night and we had a great laugh. All in all a fantastic experience and I would recommend Darver and it's staff all day every day. A truly unique experience.

The Perfect Wedding Venue Review of Darver Castle Pending review Myself and my husband got married in Darver Castle on the 10th of July 2022. From start to finish we had an absolutely perfect day. The planning process was not stressful, someone in Darver was always available to chat if we had any questions or queries. Myself and the bridesmaids got ready in the beautiful bridal parlour onsite. We had a lovely chilled morning and the breakfast was delish. We were lucky with the weather and we got married outside in the courtyard which was just stunning, the guests were all absolutely blown away by the magnificant outdoor grounds. We were lucky but I wasn't too concerned about the weather in the run up to the wedding because I knew there was also a beautiful ceremony room available if needed. All of our guests commented afterwards on how beautiful the venue was and how much they enjoyed the grounds, the food and the kindness and attentiveness of the staff. I loved everything about the venue but the staff here are really exceptional. I didn't have to think about a single thing apart from enjoying every minute of the day, they really had everything organised so perfectly, right down to telling you, "go," when it's time to walk down the aisle at the perfect moment of the song. Anne was with us during the day and I cannot thank her enough for managing everything so seamlessly and for being so kind and fun every step of the day. I cannot recommend Darver Castle highly enough as a wedding venue, we had an absolute dream of a time.

Darver Castle is a stunning, intimate venue unlike no other. The team are wonderful, they know it is your day and cannot do enough for you. The food is seriously delicious, your guests won't be left hungry - that's for sure. The castle rooms to stay in are lovely and the function room is the perfect place for your dinner - with beams, stone walls and hanging fairy lights - what's not to love Our coordinator, Anne Darcy, was so accommodating. There was no question too big or small and she was available for our every need. We didn't get to go to an open night due to the pandemic, but had been to a friends wedding before and fell in love with the whole place. Highly recommend newly engaged couples going to check out the incredible surroundings, garden, converted stable etc. Darver won't disappoint! 5 Star!

Myself and Shane had our wedding reception at Darver Castle on June 24th 2022. Before I get to the day itself, Anne made the planning process so easy and seamless despite originally booking during lockdown when we were unable to view the venue in person. Anne put our minds at ease and answered every question, with an excellent virtual tour and Zoom calls. With expert advice, we were recommended to have an early ceremony in our local church so that we could get more time to enjoy our reception - something we were so grateful for on the day and I wouldn't have thought of myself. On the day itself, everything ran like clockwork thanks to the extremely friendly and diligent Adrienne and her team of staff. Again, this schedule ensured that we got the most time out of our band & DJ possible. All the staff went above and beyond, clearly taking pride in being a part of our big day, and did not only treat the bridal party like the kings & queens of the castle, but could evidently be seen with this attentiveness to all guests, which was commented to us by many after the day. This is a contrast to the usual bunch of students working at functions who are only there to put in their hours. The food was INCREDIBLE, again most of our guests told us that they have never had such a good meal at a wedding. The steaks were one of the options on our menu and they were both huge and delicious, so big that I actually couldn't finish mine which is rare for me! I couldn't fault one part of the meal. The venue speaks for itself, with stunning grounds and a stand out function room that is hard to find as nice a room anywhere in the country that can fit so many guests. We went with the existing decor with no extras and it was absolutely perfect, no additions needed. The rooms in the castle were beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, just a pity we didn't get more time in them! Overall I couldn't recommend Darver Castle enough if you are planning your wedding. I have zero regrets or anything I would change about it, not to mention it being the best value around for this calibre of venue within an hour of Dublin. A huge thank you to all the team at Darver for their part in the best day of our lives!

On Thursday 23rd of June myself and my now hubby experienced the most amazing day of our lives. It was without question made all the better by our choice of Darver Castle as our wedding venue. This stunning venue has to be one of the most beautiful places in the country that you could get married in, from the people working there (shout out to Anne, Adrianne, Ruth and Mary who made everything run so smoothly), to the breath taking grounds, the castle itself, the banquet hall, the exquisite food... we couldn't be more complimentary and thankful for the amazing day and night that you helped give to us. We couldn't have picked a better venue with a more supportive and responsive team. The team help with wedding planning, recommend fantastic suppliers and put you at ease on the big day. They go over and beyond on any request, ensuring that the most important aspects of the day are prioritised. The food was outstanding and the drink never stopping flowing! We had the best day we could have asked for and a lot of that was specifically down to Darver Castle and the hard working team!

We got married in Darver Castle on 7th of May 2022, We could not recommend it enough for any future couples, from the moment we went for an afternoon viewing we fell in love with every single part of it. The castle, the rooms, the gardens blew us away. From the moment we booked everyone was amazing Anne the wedding coordinator she was brilliant she thinks of everything and is great to deal with. On the day we had Adriane take care of us from the moment we arrived she was so fantastic we didnt have to worry about one single thing. Every one of our guests said the food was amazing which it was out of this world. Not forgetting Julia, Mary and Aidan we can not thank them enough for the service they provide at Darver Castle they have such an amazing and magical place where you will most definitely get the wedding of dreams. We wish we could do it all over again with them. Darver Castle is most definitely deserving of its 5 stars.

A huge thank you to the entire team at Darver Castle for the fantastic wedding day we had in April 2022. The preparation in the weeks and months prior to the day was hassle free and we knew that Anne and the team had everything in under control. The staff at Darver leave no stone unturned. We have received countless comments from guests regarding the professionalism and service received by all of the servers, bar staff and management on the day. We cannot thank Adrienne, Ruth and Julia enough. The food was exceptional. From the canapés on arrival to the dinner, nothing could be faulted and there was ample food for everyone - the late night goujons and chips went down a treat. Again to mention the service, from the top table it was clear to see how well the staff were organised, ensuring everyone was looked after and there was no delay between the top table being served and the remainder of the guests. The late night service with our bridal party and family back in the kitchen was a lovely way to end the night - thank you for taking good care of our older relatives and ensuring they got tea and sandwiches even at that hour! We had a lot of guests who had not been to Darver before and they have all reached out and thanked us for a great day. The grounds to the castle and the interior are immaculate and we are delighted with how our photos and video have turned out. When we went to visit Darver Castle for a possible wedding venue, we fell in love with it immediately and knew it was our venue! We booked everything else around it such as band & photographer as we loved it that much. What we didn't expect was that we would fall in love with the staff more than the venue. With Darver, the grounds, venue and food have an amazing reputation (& we can second that!) but what makes it so unique is the staff that you meet in the lead up to the day (Aidan, Mary, Julia!) and on the day itself. Anne always looked after us so well and was so helpful in every meeting and just made sure that everything was thought of and planned - we really looked forward to meeting her each time. On the day, each one of our guest were treated like royalty by all staff - it lovely for us to hear them raving about Darver Castle as much as us! For myself and the full bridal party, Adrienne & Anna couldn't have done more. For example, as we drove up to Darver Castle (in the rain & gale force winds) they both ran out to me to help with my flowers and dress while also shielding me from the rain - little things that looking back now, mean so much - and we honestly have so many of those lovely gestures from the day! If you want a perfect day in the most perfect venue where you wont have to worry about food, drink or your guests being happy - then book Darver Castle. Both myself & my husband would say without hesitation, if we had to do it over again, we would choose Darver Castle each & every time!! xxx

We had our wedding in Darver in February and wow what a day we had !!!! From the minute we went to view Darver they were so friendly and helpful !…. Our wedding was booked for 2021 but with Covid we had to choose another date and they were fine with this and so helpful!! I would highly recommend Darver , the room was just perfect , we didn’t need to add any extras as it just looked fantastic. The staff were amazing on the day, the food was WOW… we had no complaints from guests also . We were so happy with Darver, a great decision to have our special day there!

It goes without saying Darver Castle is a dream wedding venue. From our first viewing we knew it won our hearts. From the helpful and friendly staff, to the stunning outdoor surroundings and amazing banquet hall and most importantly the magical Christmas setting. Anne, Julia, Mary and all the team were a dream to deal with. Our day itself was simply the best. Our guests talked so highly of the amazing food everything was top quality. You are really made feel at home with the warmest of welcomes and they can't do enough for you. We highly recommend Darver Castle to all new couples looking for their dream venue

We considered all options for a childminder for our 9 month old Emilie for our wedding day before booking the wedding nanny. I was nervous in the run up to the wedding of how Emilie would take to a new face but the minute we met Sara my worries disappeared. Emilie immediately took to Sara and I could honestly say it was the best money we spent on our wedding. I couldn't have picked a better nanny for Emilie. Sara dressed Emilie and had her ceremony ready, she quietly and discreetly popped her away when she needed a break from the ceremony and she entertained her every need for the day, the night and the next morning. So many of our guests asked where we found Sara! She interacted with everyone and was just such a lovely warm person. From a mum who was nervous initially I just couldn't thank Sara enough and would highly recommend her!

Well what can we even say!! We got married in Darver Castle 3rd time lucky and we had the most outstanding day! Anne has been amazing to deal with from start to finish and was always so responsive to my questions! From the very first viewing of Darver back in 2019 we loved it instantly, the ceremony room, gardens, banquet hall it sold it to us. Another seller was the fact majority of guests could stay on site! The food from start to finish was divine and I feel I need to go to another wedding now in Darver to actually appreciate it! Our wedding morning was so calm and it was so lovely to be able to get ready in the bridal parlour and Anne and team made sure we were looked after. We also had special requests from a guest and Anne was so so accommodating to her which we were so grateful for as it meant she didn’t have any worries. All we wanted from the get go was a party and my god did he get it! Not a bad word could be said at all by anyone! Literally our dream wedding thank you so so much Anne, Julia, Mary and Aiden and all the staff at Darver! So sad it’s over now!!

As parents of the bride we had an unbelievable experience here. Credit must go to Ann , Mary and the staff. They could not have done anymore. Exceptional from start to finish. Our daughter Suzanne and now her husband Phil had they're dream wedding.

The team at Darver were absolutely fantastic. I can't find a single fault. I couldn't get over to try the food or wine due to covid and living in London but this was not a problem as everything was delicious (especially the steak!). The day was seamless and every single member of staff was brilliant. Thank you so much for taking care of us and our guests, we are both incredibly grateful and cannot recommend you enough. I also want to add that the rooms and breakfast were lovely too, our friends and family were very impressed. The whole process from viewing the venue to the wedding day is extremely well managed and the levels of communication were great. As an anxious bride, they went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly and I cannot thank them enough. The grounds were perfectly maintained and Darver is just beautiful. We were so lucky to get married there and would recommend other couples go and visit, you won't be disappointed.

Anne and all the staff were great throughout and put our minds at ease in the run-up to the wedding. I never imagined I would get married in a castle, however, once I had visited Darver, I just fell in love with the place and the people. I felt at home and I didn't want to leave. We got married in Darver Castle September of 2021 and while it was 1 year ago, our guests still talk about it being the most spectacular wedding venue with outstanding service. Words can't describe our experience with Darver Castle - it was amazing and everyone at Darver made it the best day of our lives! From the minute we went to view the venue we knew it was perfect and the experience and treatment from there on in from Anne and Julia never wavered. We were treated like a King and Queen from start to finish on the day itself with Mary greeting us and making sure we had everything we needed and more! We cannot thank you enough! We got married in the ceremony room which was absolutely stunning - our guests and us alike were so taken aback. The grounds are amazing and you couldn't ask for a more picturesque setting for wedding photos. Any couples who are thinking of Darver Castle as their wedding venue do not need our reviews, the venue and staff speak for themselves. We would go back to Darver in a heartbeat. We got married in Darver Castle on the 21st of August 2021 and what can I say about this venue?!  From our very first viewing there was something extra special about Darver, it felt like coming home (to a fairly spectacular home!) and we felt like part of the family.  Having had to postpone twice; Anne made it feel so easy and took a lot of the stress and worry away.  She was like a sister and a friend;  always with a kind, comforting word and supportive ear.  Herself and Julia make an incredible duo, nothing is too much and they make everything so seamless and are the best craic too!  Aidan and Mary always make time for a chat, they remember little details about you and make you feel special and important to them.  The day itself was absolutely incredible! Flawless!! The banqueting suite was just so beautiful, it was exquisite! Two months on people are still commenting to us about the stunning venue, amazing food and friendly, attentive staff! We can’t thank Anne, Julia, Mary and Aidan for everything they did for us. Darver Castle are experts in the wedding business, there’s nothing they don’t think of! It’s hard to put into words how amazing Darver is as a wedding venue and how perfect our day there was. The venue itself is simply beautiful. The staff went above and beyond for us throughout the wedding planning process and on the day itself. So many of our guests commented on the personal feel in Darver and how helpful abs friendly the staff were - as well as how delicious the food was! For me, it was a fairy tale. I had the wedding I have always dreamed of and I felt like a princess for the day. I could not recommend Darver enough. I would give anything to go back and do it all again!! We got married this year after having to postpone multiple times. Darver could not have been more accomadating. I would like to especially mention Anne our wedding planner, who handled everything in her strive and could not have been more supportive and accomadating to ensure we had a great day. We felt at home at Darver on the day of our wedding, everyone waw raving about this beautiful venue which feels like a home from home. The food outstanding from canapies on entrance, to main meal and to fish and chips in the evening. Also everyone mentioned how well run our day was by amazing Mary and other staff. They ensured myself and my husband had nothing to worry about except to have a good day. Darver went out of their way to accommodate everyone. One of our guests had to eat breakfast early due to medicine and darver kindly out a fridge with breakfast rakfast items in his room. I couldn't recommend this venue enough and I know many of our guests are considering this venue as their wedding venue, despite many being over 2 hours away. My only advice to others looking at this venue, is getting booking soon as dates fill up. You have whole venue to yourself and only 1 wedding a day.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Darver Castle enough. We loved it so much we had our wedding here…twice! They facilitated a legal ceremony for us back in 2020 and we recently had our wedding celebration with them this July. Darver is like one big family and as soon as you book with them you are looked after so well. I feel like Darver is somewhat of a hidden gem. It has such wow factor and our guests couldn’t believe how stunning the venue was. The beautiful grounds meant we could get all of our professional photos done onsite in no time and get back to enjoying the reception with our guests. If you’re considering this venue book in for a tour and chat and you honestly won’t go back.

We got married in Darver Castle in July this year and I can honestly say we could not fault one thing. From the run up with the help from Anne and on the day Adrienne couldn’t have done enough. Family members still speak about the food, the service, the grounds. It was the first and only hotel we went to look at when we got engaged and we both knew straight away we would have our reception there. Definitely a 10\10 from us.

We got married in June after an extremely stressful build up, hanging on every government announcement. Anne kept in touch and kept reassuring us that our day will happen and will be as special as we intended and she was right. She is amazing. We had our day on our orginal date and I have to say the Darver staff went above and beyond to make it everything we dreamed of. Mary and Anne are incredible. They gave a warm welcomed every single person as they came through the doors on arrival and waved them goodbye the following day knowing the majority by name. It was such a homely venue. If we could do it all again tomorrow, we would and wouldn't change a thing. We shouldn't have worried about one single thing as Darver had everything undercontrol, so professional in every single way.

We had our wedding at Darver Castle on 2nd January 2021 in the midst of a lockdown and it was absolutely perfect! Darver is such a beautiful homely venue that it didnt matter if we had 200 guests or 25! It was an amazing day and everyone has talked about how perfect the venue was since. For anyone worried about going ahead with their wedding with smaller numbers you won't be disappointed, Darver will ensure you have a fantastic day.

We got married and had our reception in Darver Castle on the 25th November 2020. We only got engaged in February 2020 and viewed ONLY one venue, Darver Castle! Once we saw this venue, we knew straight away this was the venue for us! From booking Darver Castle, saw the start of lockdown. A very unsettling time for us, not knowing what way our wedding would be. As each week and month went by, we got regular phone calls and emails from Anne to keep us updated and to see how we were. As the months went on, the uncertainty grew as our numbers had been cut from 100 to 50 and then to 25. We had several meetings with Anne and came back feeling so assured that our day would be equally as amazing with 25 guests. And she was right!! Anne is amazing at what she does and was so supportive and with us every step of the way! We had a truly amazing day in Darver Castle as did our guests. We were treated like royalty from beginning to end. The castle atmosphere on the day was intimate and homely. The whole castle inside and out, was decorated for Christmas which made it magical! Our reception and meal were absolutely exceptional! The professionalism from Mary, Aidan, Anne and the whole team at Darver Castle was outstanding from start to finish and nothing was ever too much hassle. This venue is run by a family and we were treated like family! We had a truly brilliant day and cannot recommend Darver Castle enough for everything they did for us and making our day so special!

Ruairí and I got engaged in March 2019 and upon visiting Darver Castle in April we were delighted to secure the date of Easter Tuesday 2020! Anne was so helpful through each stage of the planning process, keeping me on the ball with emails and suggested suppliers etc. We had a fabulous evening at our food tasting in February 2020 which undoubtedly helped us a lot when choosing our menu. Unfortunately, due to Covid we were unable to go ahead with our original date but Anne helped us work out a new date. As the months approached we had a phone call from Anne when a more suitable date had become available and we were so grateful that she had thought of us. Despite months of uncertainty, worry and changed plans, the day of our wedding in October 2020 was absolutely perfect. Our numbers were dramatically reduced, but other than the smaller crowd and the restrictions in place with music etc, we felt that the joy of our day was never compromised. Whilst a smaller wedding was not something we had ever planned for, the team at Darver created an atmosphere which was intimate yet still maintained the sense of grandeur. Being the only Wedding hosted on that day (something so special that Darver offer) made us and our guests feel totally "at home" in such a majestic venue and we had the most wonderful time. The events of the pandemic forced Ruairí and I to change our original plans, but we would say with total certainty that our Wedding Day held more meaning to us than we could have hoped for and we thank the team at Darver Castle for that.

Cannot recommend Darver Castle enough! We got married in Darver in August 2020. We love everything about this venue! We booked it a year beforehand and were constantly surprised and delighted at all of the redecoration and improvements to an already fantastic venue that happened during the year. The castle, accommodation and gardens are immaculate and provided the perfect setting for our ceremony, photos and celebrations. 2020 was a difficult year to plan a wedding and Anne was an absolute pleasure to deal with and was with us every step of the way, nothing was too much trouble and despite all the changes and restrictions due to covid, Anne made the journey as stress free as possible. Words can’t express how amazing the team were on our wedding day 29/02/2020. On the day there was a massive storm but what really blew me away was the staff and how selflessly they ran to and from the car holding a blanket over me, we got married in the ceremony room and as my bridesmaids entered the room it was Mary that fixed me up before I walked up the aisle. As we got back to the castle Adrian made sure that we had some alone time with our bridal party and immediate family, she took control and allowed me to enjoy the day without a worry, If we didn’t have a drink in our hand she made sure it wasn’t for long! Although I planned our wedding Adrian orchestrated it. I have to say from the moment we booked our wedding with Anne, and every email and visit in between to the nightcap and sandwiches served by Mary in the early hours, each one of them exceeded my expectations with every interaction!

We got married in Darver Castle on Valentine's Day of this year and from the moment we booked it four years ago the team there have been amazing to work with. Nothing was ever too much for them and they went above and beyond to make our day everything we dreamed of. Living in London at the time was quite stressful but Anne put us at ease straight away and made everything so simple for us. Our day ran smoothly from start to finish all thanks to the wonderful staff. The room was even more stunning than I had seen before from the fairy lights to the centre pieces. We chose not to have any extras at our venue as we just wanted to let the venue speak for itself, simply beautiful! Our meal was five star and we still have guests complimenting it even almost a month on. We would recommend Darver Castle to any future couples looking for a intimate, romantic venue that oozes character & beauty.

Thank you so much to all the staff at Darver Castle , they made our day unforgettable! We did not have to think about anything , all our guests raved about the venue from how good the food was to reasonably priced drinks compared to most hotel weddings! Anne helped us with all the planning and no questions was a silly question. The owner, Mary, was great and on the day she stayed up right until the end of the night to make sure everything went accordingly! Darver wouldn't function without her, she is the heart and soul. Adrienne on the day was amazing too and there was no request too big or small ! All in all we would highly recommend Darver to anyone considering getting married.

We celebrated our wedding in Darver Castle last month and 5 stars is just not enough to explain how wonderful it is !!!! Every step of the way Anne was beyond helpful and genuinely one of the nicest people I have met ! Nothing was a problem and all the staff could not do enough for us or our guests. From the minute we went to view Darver Castle we fell in love with it. The entrance, the grounds, the ballroom, the castle, the bedrooms and most of all the staff were all amazing. On our first visit we met Anne and Aidan and we knew before we left that this was the venue for us without a doubt. Any dealings we had were all dealt with quickly and efficiently. Anne was an absolute star and nothing was ever a problem. The attention to detail on the day of the wedding was unbelievable and every member of staff was very attentive. The food was out of this world and everything was run to perfection. Mary is an absolute diamond nothing was ever a problem it was like home away from home. Our guests both young and old have been raving about the venue and the staff since our wedding day. If we could we would do our wedding day in Darver Castle once a year. One word to describe the hotel and ALL staff- AMAZING! A special acknowledgement has to go to Anne & Julia who were fantastic to liase with, especially in the stressful week leading up to the big day. Our queries were always handled professionally and cordially. They are absolute ladies who are definitely in the right job! We also have to give a special mention to Mary & Adrienne who I can only describe as two Mother Hens on the day. The attention to detail was superb from the moment we stepped out of the car. Adrienne was even on stand-by to bustle my dress in our bridal suite when my chief couldn't. They were always there to assist, not just the Bride and Groom but the whole bridal party. The food and service was exceptional during our meal. The attentive service and top quality food that was experienced at the Top Table was experienced across the whole function room and this is what makes this venue a stand alone wedding venue! Finally, the Castle itself- it was our first and only venue to view after we got engaged. We knew as soon as we walked in and seen the added beauty of Christmas that we found our place. The exclusivity of the venue for your wedding leaves it feeling like your home for the day/night and we couldn't have asked for a more magical venue for a magical day. Darver are most definitely in a league of their own!

When we got engaged mid 2017, we went to Darver Castle just for a look but from the moment we walked in and met with Anne and she showed us around we knew straight away we were at the perfect venue and we booked our wedding date that week. From that day right up until our wedding on 22 November 2019 Anne, Mary and Julia were always there to help us and advise and they made the planning so easy and enjoyable. Any queries, questions or changes we had right through the planning they were always there to help out and just made it all so easy. But on our actual wedding day all we can say is WOW, because when we arrived the Castle looked unbelievable with all the lights and so magical and then we were met and greeted by Adrienne and Mary who were just fantastic on the day and really could not do enough for us. They were both there and personally looked after us all day even cleaning a bit of bird poop of the white dress after the pictures. We can't stress how much the staff done for us like every minute of the day we were looked after. The meal was gorgeous and the service was amazing for not just the top table but the whole room and every part of the day ran perfectly and each and every staff member could not do enough for us and all our guests. Even all the staff went out of their way that day and the next morning to help our uncle who has MS and our uncle/family were so grateful and have never received any of that personal service anywhere they went. All of the bridal party and our family still can't figure out how the staff knew their names but that personal touch was just perfect and our family and all our friends and guests can't stop talking to us about Darver Castle and how amazing all the staff were and how perfect the Castle looked on the day. From the moment we arrived in the Castle until that night having a nightcap in the kitchen after the wedding was so magical and perfect and then the next day at breakfast and checkout still the staff were all amazing and made you feel like royalty. We cannot thank Anne, Adrienne, Mary and Julia from Darver Castle enough for making our special day perfect and we would highly recommend Darver Castle to anybody for their wedding as the venue is just amazing and magical and staff are excellent.

We got married two weeks ago at Darver Castle and to say it was the best day of our lives would be an understatement. We had the most magical day surrounded by our loved ones. The day was stress free and this was all down to the wonderful staff at Darver. Booking our wedding at Darver was the best decision we could have made. I cannot put into words how truly amazing the staff at Darver are. They made both my husband and I feel so special, so relaxed and so at home on our wedding day. I wish I could do it all again. Darver Castle itself is stunning but the staff make it truly outstanding and unforgettable.

Darver was an outstanding venue, we had the best celebration there. Our guests kept commenting throughout the day and after at how brilliant the day was. No request was too big or too small and was handled straight away. The wedding coordinators made our day so special always ensuring we had what we needed. Adrienne(wedding coordinator) even spent 30 mins on her knees sewing our dresses. The food was amazing, everything about the venue is perfect. Its a well oiled machine and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a wedding venue.

Darver where incredible through every part of the process. They are so professional and on the ball but also personal and unbelievably friendly. If you are wondering where to have your wedding reception, look no further! Just under two years ago, we went down to Darver Castle on a whim without an appointment to see what it was like. From the moment we arrived, we knew that this place was different. There was a warm, friendly atmosphere, and a big cup of tea for us when we got there. Anne showed us around the reception areas, the dining room, and the bedrooms, and we knew instantly that we had found our spot! We were blown away by everything that was included in their package, we didn't have to consider anything else! Throughout the planning process, Anne, Julia and the team were always quick to respond to any queries, and nothing was too much trouble! As the day got closer, they kept us right, and were very flexible with our needs. The wedding reception itself was just perfect. We genuinely cannot fault anything. On arrival, we were greeted by Adrienne, who personally looked after us for the entire day! Everything ran like clockwork, with absolute precision, but at the same time, nothing felt rushed or hurried. They helped us to get the most out of our day, and made sure we had time to ourselves too! The meal was first class! Everything tasted perfect, every dish was piping hot, with plenty of options included in the package, and the portions were huge! The service was also faultless! After the meal, we had some time to get ready for our evening, and when I asked if a cup of tea could be brought up to the room, it was no trouble at all! The evening buffet was excellent, and again there was plenty for everyone! Later on in the evening, one of my elderly relatives was going to bed, and again, Darver made sure that they had everything they needed (many thanks to Stephen)! That meant a lot to us! After the bands had finished playing, there were buses going to different places, and the door staff made sure that everyone got on the right bus, and no one was left behind! There was never any fuss! When all was done, our whole immediate family got to get together again in their beautiful kitchen, and we got a night cap, tea, sandwiches and cake served by the main woman herself, Mary! We all sat there and chatted like we were at home! It was the perfect way to end the perfect day! The breakfast in the morning was brilliant, with options for everyone taste, again served with a smile! We cannot thank Mary, Aidan, Anne, Julia, Adrienne and the entire team enough. They have helped us to create memories that will last a lifetime! End your search for a wedding venue! You've just found it!

Choosing Darver Castle for our wedding day was a very easy decision to make. Within seconds of setting foot inside the door, we knew we’d found our dream wedding venue. Not only was it elegant, charming and beautifully decorated, but its homely warmth left us feeling instantly at ease. Because we were living abroad and only coming back to Ireland a couple of days before our wedding, we had to do most of our planning over the phone or by email – but that wasn’t a problem in the slightest. Superstar Anne was absolutely fantastic to work with; extremely responsive, helpful, calm and friendly, always ready to advise us and answer our (many) questions and we felt completely reassured that we were in safe hands from start to finish. The big day itself was amazing! We availed of the beautiful bridal parlor to get ready that morning and we were treated like royalty; it was the perfect start to the day and helped us all to strike the right balance between feeling relaxed and excited! Upon our return after the ceremony, Mary and Adrienne were ready with the red carpet & champagne and made us feel like rock stars; congratulating us and making sure everyone was welcomed warmly while we had our photographs taken in the stunning grounds. Adrienne worked tirelessly with us all day to make sure everything ran like clockwork (which it did!) and her kindness, thoughtfulness and attention to detail throughout the day was hugely appreciated. What can we say about Mary? What an absolute lady with a big smile and a kind word for everyone. She truly treated us as if we were family and the post-midnight feast that she prepared for us (in the wee small hours) was one of the many highlights of the day! Our guests adored their afternoon tea on arrival (we’re still hearing compliments about those famous scones!) and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to the kitchen, bar & serving teams who did a wonderful job of making sure everyone was impeccably looked after. We are so grateful also to Julia, Aidan and the entire team for all the hard work & preparation that goes on behind-the-scenes too, all of which culminated in the most perfect day for us and for our guests. We had our wedding day in Darver Castle in Aug 2019. We booked for both the actual ceremony and the reception also. There is honestly not one thing we could fault Darver on, everything was just perfect! We were blown away, and are still hearing comments from guests about how amazing the venue was. The staff are just brilliant, nothing is an issue, whatever you need, you can bet they probably have it sorted before you have even had to ask! The food was just top class, all guests raved about it. She was there at the start of the day, helping me out of the car, and still there at 3am making us sandwiches before bed. Darver Castle was the first venue we viewed. Once we saw the venue and met the team we didn't visit anywhere else. The venue lived up to all expectations on the day and I cant speak highly enough of the Darver team. The service was top class from everybody at the venue. We had visitors from the States and Australia and everybody raved about the venue, the service and the food. Couldn't have picked a more perfect setting and my only wish is to attend a wedding their in the future to relive the memories.

What can we say! Firstly Ann and Julia in the office were so helpful in the months and weeks running up to our big day, always on hand answering calls and emails. As for the day itself, both us and our families felt like royalty on the day. We had Adrianne and Mary looking after us and we were well looked after. The venue is beautiful and they are always working on improving it. The service was excellent and the food was amazing! We had the best day and couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else!

To any Bride & Groom that have not visited Darver Castle yet - please do it now. We never heard of Darver Castle until a recommendation after we got engaged. I am so glad and grateful for that recommendation. Our Day was amazing and nothing went wrong. Every time we mention our wedding people mention Darver. The food, service and overall team are the best I have seen in a long time. The team are like your family following you around all day to make sure they hold your veil, fix flowers, make sure you eat, have a drink in hand everything. At one stage I was giving water and sandwiches going to bed by the castle security man. I am a hard person to please especially when it came to our wedding but Darver impressed me. The value we got for our money was unbelievable. Everytime we are at a family event everyone mentions Darver and all the staff and of course all know "Mary" by name. Mary is a Robot she was there every step of the way until you go to bed.The only way to describe her is like your Mammy she minded us every step of the way. The whole team are amazing, barmen are great crack can handle the crowd and remembered what everyone was drinking #wow, everytime you ring or email someone responded to you straight away and had a good chat and helped with everything. We cannot recommend Darver Castle enough to everyone. They go above and beyond what is expected from a wedding venue. We booked our wedding over 2 years ago and they were incredible in the whole wedding process. Anne is so professional to deal with and helped us make so many little decisions along the way. Nothing was too much when we asked about personalising the place a bit they were open to all our ideas. Mary is the heart and soul of Darver and made the whole day an incredible experience. We enjoyed every moment from when we arrived in Darver. Adrianne was also amazing on the day and provided such a high level of service. She went above what was expected and even helped carry my dress when we were getting photos. The staff are so attentive at all times and the food was incredible. Our wedding guests are still talking about our wedding and this is all thanks to Darver and there staff.

A massive thank-you to Ann, Mary, Adrienne and all of the staff who helped out on the day, where do I start with the service??? It was like we where celebrities for the day constantly being asked if we needed anything and not only us but everyone else was commenting on how helpful and nice everyone was. We still our getting so many compliments about how great a day it was! The castle and grounds are a credit to yous, everyone was so impressed, that was our 5th time being there for a wedding and it only gets better every-time, the meal was outstanding we also appreciate putting the football on for the guests as I know it wasn't the norm but the lads were delighted. You were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We have been to a good few wedding in the last couple of years and Darver is out on its own as a wedding venue. I attended a wedding here in July 2016, and from that day I knew I would have my own wedding here. We booked a viewing one week after engagement and booked our dream day on that same day. I honestly cannot recommend Darver enough, the whole team were phenomenal from the outset and throughout. We had the best day of our lives and everyone at the wedding was treated like royalty. What can we say about our wedding day at Darver Castle…. Literally a dream come true and to date the best day of our entire lives!! We would like to thank Anne who was a pleasure to deal with from our initial booking right through to helping us with the minor details such as song choices, special menu requests etc. Adrienne for all of her help on the day getting us organised, and last but certainly not least the Queen of Darver Castle Mary! Mary you honestly made us feel like we were the first and only wedding ever to happen at Darver, always making sure we had what we needed throughout the day/night – all the little personal touches were so appreciated (one of the highlights being the sandwiches in the wee hours of the morning!). So many of our guests commented not only on how beautiful the venue was but how fantastic the staff were and how smoothly the day was run! To start, the drink reception and canapes were amazing and the atmosphere created in the back bar/gardens was electric! While Chris and I were getting photos taken, we knew all of our guests were being more than looked after. We also loved how you got all the bridal party and close family into the front room for a drink/nibbles when we arrived – it took the pressure off us and helped us to relax instantly!! The meal was just exquisite, from the top table you could see that everyone was smiling and clean plates all round – we had so many compliments on the food! When the band arrived everything was managed so smoothly we didn’t have to think for one second about any of it. The rooms in the castle were just gorgeous, again everyone complimented them so much! All in all, the atmosphere on our wedding day was simply magical from start to finish. We have Darver Castle to thank for that and we couldn’t recommend it more to family and friends.

We can’t recommend Darver enough! The venue is absolutely stunning, along with its beautiful backdrop grounds! It definitely makes for perfect pictures! However it’s the staff that work there that make this Venue top class! Mary is amazing along with her team, to name some who helped in particular along the way and during the course of the day, Anne, Gerry, Julia, and so many more that I can’t even remember their names! Mary just was at hand the whole day and even when I the bride had a problem with my eye she was like Florence nightingale to the rescue! Honestly where else would you get that and feel like your home from home on your wedding! The food is exceptional! I couldn’t fault anything about this place! I’m so sad it’s all over and I’m gonna have to force my friends to get married here so I can come back.

Darver Castle is by far Ireland's perfect wedding venue. From the whole planning process with Anne and Julia, to the day itself with Mary and Adrienne running it like the absolute experts they are - everything was just amazing. They made us feel so at ease - "don't you worry about a thing, we have it all sorted." They made sure we were totally relaxed and that all we had to do was enjoy our day. A huge number of guests told me it was the best wedding venue they'd been to with the food and setting, but most of all because of the hospitality. It was like an army of incredible Irish mammies looking after everyone - the experts of hospitality. The old skullery kitchen, the traditional Irish bar, the patio and gardens - all just so quirky & beautiful for the drinks reception, and then the main room for dinner and party was stunning with the dark wood, gilded frames, ceiling fairy lights and beams. Having a choice menu on the day was another big hit with guests and usually unheard of at weddings - steak, chicken, veg or salmon - all absolutely delicious! One of our big things when choosing a venue was that we didn't want a hotel wedding - Darver Castle was perfect as it wasn't your typical hotel function room setting but still had accommodation for over 90 people! ... and the rooms are amazing! (as is the breakfast!) The first day we saw Darver, we had 2 other venue appointments booked that day in the area - as soon as we finished our appointment at Darver, we cancelled the other 2. We absolutely fell in love. We're so sad it's all over, we would do it all again tomorrow if we could - it was truly the best day we've ever had and that is hugely down to the Darver Team.

We had our wedding in Darver Castle on 26th April. To say the service we received was second to none is an understatement. From day 1 to the actual wedding day the service we received was amazing. The castle is so magical the rooms and grounds are stunning and the food is to die for. For anyone wanting a magical wedding day I highly recommend it.

Darver Castle is amazing, the staff are so attentive and nothing is a problem. The food is exceptional and castle setting is just perfect. 1 month on and our guests have not stopped talking about Darver and the amazing day they had.

Anyone recently engaged and thinking about planning a wedding and not sure of venue I would look no further then Darver Castle. From the day we viewed the venue till the day of the wedding they were top class. On the day I could not fault one thing from we drove up to Darver till leaving, everything was top notch.

It really is so hard to put into words how amazing Darver Castle is as a wedding venue and how exceptional the staff of Darver Castle are! The castle itself is beautiful, tastefully decorated with gorgeous gardens. It is so elegant and cosy at the same time! The staff are outstanding; so professional, passionate, friendly and very down to earth. We had the pleasure of having Anne, Julia, Mary, Leanne & Gerry look after us throughout our whole experience with Darver Castle. Anne looked after us with great care from our initial booking right up to ironing out the finer details.Julia looked after us on the day before our wedding and was so good at putting us at ease! Mary was outstanding on the day of our wedding! She was so attentive & friendly and genuinely looked so happy to be of help. Our wedding day itself was so magical and unbelievable!From the moment our guests arrived into the castle they were looked after like royalty!Our guests still talk about how much they enjoyed the beautiful canapes in the sitting room on arrival & how comfortable the setting was. My uncle who is 70 years young declared that it was the 'best wedding' and 'best spot' he was ever at! The main meal itself was exquisite and the sandwiches Mary surprised us with in the small hours of the morning were the cherry on top!The atmosphere in the castle was so warm & friendly throughout the day and night. All in all Darver Castle is a stunning place for a wedding venue but it is it's amazing staff that make it so special & second to none! Thank you so much!

They were just a perfect venue. We visited Darver after a friend recommended it and didn't look back. We brought our families with us while we were deciding if it was the venue for us and we were all welcomed with open arms. We were always comfortable and never felt rushed. We were fed tea and cakes and all our questions were answered with patience. Even after we booked the venue everything was very relaxed and straight forward-Anne and Julia were on the ball with everything. The day itself was perfect-everyone had an amazing time. The food was so good and huge portions-we never went hungry! Mary just helped everyone-all our guests loved her! She even saved us food and drink after we had our photos taken (Godsend!) We honestly had the most perfect day and I couldn't rate Darver Castle highly enough. All the staff were so helpful and we felt like royalty on the day(cheesy but it's true!) We absolutely loved it as did all of our guests. Thank you so much for the beautiful day.

Darver Castle is an outstanding wedding venue. The venue itself is absolutely amazing but what really makes this place stand out is the staff. They are superb and a credit to Darver, they go above & beyond what is expected of them on the day. We were made feel so at home & welcome on the day - the staff were like old friends they really couldn’t do enough for us. They made the day run so smoothly - everything was on point and we were just left to enjoy ourselves & mingle & we didn’t have to worry about a thing they had every single thing covered. We had the best day ever and this is all down to the attention & care of the staff, would love to do it all again ??

We cannot recommend Darver Castle enough. They truly made our day special. Darver is a family run business and honestly they treat you like family. My guests were blown away by the grounds, the level of service and the food. Can we do it again please?

Best place ever to get married, a hidden gem, amazing venue, best wedding ever...these are the comments that were made by our guests. Darver castle made our wedding day so amazing and relaxing, the day ran smoothly with all of expectations met and exceeded. All the staff are amazing smiley happy people, who are very easy to deal with. everything that needed to be planned for was ready and pre-empted by Darver. The food on the day was amazing and again feedback from our guests varied from best chicken I ever had to vegan dishs were incredible. Myself and Sarah cannot recommend Darver Castle highly enough. If you are getting married, book Darver castle

The venue is beautiful and gorgeous decor and they add extra little touches so no need to bring any decorations except for flowerwall/photo booth if that's what your into. The guests enjoyed the food and I got good feedback for all courses. However I was really disappointed with how I was catered for, seeing as I was the bride and had given them plenty of notice that I am a ceoliac. It was extremely unprofessional to serve me a slice of gluten free bread with mushroom sauce as a voulevant, especially when I had emailed my menu 3 weeks prior to the wedding and wasn't told that that it couldn't be done. The 9.am loud knocks on the door the following morning are also very annoying and rude, considering check out is 12.pm

Lovely venue and very attentive towards all guests. Our car broke down as we were leaving the wedding and the staff could not have been more helpful!

Anne was so lovely to work with, I’m sure I wrecked her head with 100 emails a day in the run up to the big day. Mary and Niamh were my saviours on the day, they couldn’t do enough for you. All the staff were fantastic. The food was beautiful and all the guests commented on how nice it was. I am just so in love with my pictures so far, Darver is the most stunning venue, especially at Christmas! Thank you everyone!

This place is out of this world me and my husband knew it was Darver from the word go,if I was doing it all again noway would I change a thing esp not this venue from the staff who are top class to Anne our wedding coordinator and Juilia and Mary,no stone was left unturned this venue has weddings off to a fine art. We had our wedding here the 23/11/18 all the Xmas decos was up and it was just amazing so homely and cosy,only one thing I would say "can we do it all again". Thanks again to Darver for giving us a day we won't ever forget.

I can’t say enough about the total professionalism of each and every member of staff at Darver. They were so great to deal with and made us feel so special on the day itself. It’s such a beautiful venue and is constantly being updated. Nothing was a problem and everything was taken care of on the day.

We got Married in Darver on Friday. All I can say is WOW. The venue is out of this world the staff is such a credit to them. We felt like family. Nothing was too much trouble. The food and service were both amazing. Thanks so much Ann Julie Mary and all the staff you made our dreams become reality

We got married in Darver Castle in November and had the most fantastic experience. The castle as prepared by Darver staff is fabulous and does not need any additional decoration or props. We arrived with only toiletry baskets for the bathroom. In organising our big day, we relied totally on Anne and Julia and they had everything under control and considered everything. Their experience in deciding on arrival drinks and quantity was so much appreciated and 100% accurate. Staff on the day were so helpful and guests commented on their friendliness. guests were so impressed with the venue and continue to talk about how much they loved it. Food was enjoyed by everyone. We found Darver great value for money and did not find another package that could compare.

Absolutely out of this world.. From our very first visit to Darver Castle right through to our Big Day - everything was exceptional.. There was no job too big or small for either Anne or Julia! It was the best decision we ever made - I’ll be out visiting at all the Wedding Fayres ????

What can I say about Darver Castle and the service they provided that will truly reflect how amazing our wedding was? From the moment we viewed the castle (the 5th venue we visited), we immediately fell in love! The setting, the Castle, the staff and the service were outstanding from the beginning. As we got close to our wedding and panic mode started, I felt like I tortured Anne & Julia with all my emails & questions! They couldn't have been more attentive and professional though. Even though they organise countless weddings, they always make you feel like you are their only client! On the day itself, I couldn't have asked for anything more. All of the staff were incredible, they knew each one of our bridal party by name and they couldn't have done more to make our guests feel welcome. The food was delicious, everyone raves about it! The staff are so attentive and we'll organised, everything ran so perfectly. When booking our wedding, we wanted an exclusive venue where our guests would feel at home. That's exactly what we got! I couldn't thank Darver enough for making our day so special and making our dreams come true!

Darver is an amazing venue, the staff are wonderful. Huge thanks to Julia/Anne & Mary for all there help in the lead up to the big day. What can I say! We had an amazing day and most of that was down to Darver Castle and all its staff. From the minute we viewed the venue until the day of our wedding we had the most professional, caring and helpful staff looking after us. Myself and my husband Mark got married in Darver castle in June 2018. We chose Darver castle because it was so unique and ticked all of our boxes, its old castle theme, exclusive use, beautiful grounds, budget and the most welcoming and down to earth staff. We were made feel like royalty which other more well known venues failed to do. The entire planning process was exceptionally efficient and the Entire team were on top of everything in the most approachable and friendly manner. Everything we asked for was taken on board with a smile and delivered. Which is what you want in a venue. The day itself was the most perfect sunny day. The minute we arrived at Darver castle we were greeted so warmly. The bridal party and families were ushered into our own private arrivals reception to ensure we had a drink and bite to eat before the madness started! I had never seen this before and as a bride it is so greatly appreciated ! Throughout the day, the attentive upbeat service led by Mary was impecable and guests are still raving about the food, especially the steak! The decor and grounds were stunning. The drinks were flowing and everyone danced the night away ! Given it is a private wedding venue and not a hotel there is no residents bar as such. This did not matter at all as the bar extension goes on late with oppprtunity for a great sing song afterwards!! We never felt under pressure to vacate. The nightcap and food spread in the castle afterwards was the most wonderful final touch. Mary ensured we all felt at home! Breakfast the following morning was excellent and guests loved walking around the grounds for a few hours. Again, never felt under pressure to depart. I would highly recommend considering Darver castle for your wedding venue. You wont be disappointed!! We got married in Darver Castle on 31 May this year. It was an amazing day. We fell in love with Darver on the first viewing. We had Anne as out co coordinator and she was brilliant. The day was magical and Darver could not have done anymore for us. It ran so smoothly. They were a great help in the run up to the wedding too for and advice and recommendations. Thank you Darver for the most memorable day. We wish we could do it all again.

My husband and I got married on 11 May 2018 and all the staff were absolutely excellent not only on the day but in the run up to the wedding too. They are so well organised, so personable and friendly but also very professional. Our guests are still talking about the suburb meal they enjoyed. Other guest feedback included the quick service of the bar staff and the friendly wait staff. The Castle is such a beautiful venue and it is maintained so well considering they have so many weddings here. Every time we came to visit the venue they had done more renovations to improve the venue. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and we are so thrilled with our decision to pick Darver Castle as our wedding venue.

I went to a wedding in Darver Castle on May 11th and it was amazing. It has so much character, the grounds are huge. Plenty of photo ops too. The wedding room was the nicest I've seen with high arches and plenty of armoury and shields. My other half loved the exclusivity of it and the way they had the bar in the room.

We cannot recommend darver castle highly enough. The best day of our lives. Staff were so professional,friendly and helpful. Wedding co ordinators were amazing.

Overall we had a great experience with getting married at Darver Castle. The main pros for us was that it's a genuinely unique venue that's something more than a purpose built hotel, the food is excellent and their pricing was the best we found for such a venue. Anne, the wedding coordinator, was extremely friendly through all the planning, always happy to make recommendations for suppliers, etc and quick about getting back to any queries. The staff are really on top of things (when we were leaving the day after, they had all our decorations, cake, etc neatly wrapped up and ready for us) and the guests were delighted with the price of the pint! Its a extremely clean venue that you'd be happy to invite anyone to and has lots of beautiful areas to take pictures. I particularly recommend it for a Christmas wedding - they go all out with the decor. Given the time of year we got married, we really wanted a private venue so we wouldn't be sharing the space with Christmas parties, etc and it was well worth picking Darver for that. For almost 24 hours from ceremony to check out after breakfast, it was just us and our guests. We had a few negatives on the day. Nothing too major, and nothing that would stop us choosing Darver again, but as I never saw any feedback on what to look out for when I was reading reviews of Darver as a venue before we booked, I think they're worth mentioning if they're of help to another couple. The main issue was that having settled our bill in full a few days before the wedding, including paying for rooms, on the day of the wedding my husband had to leave during our time with the photographer to visit the office as his parents and uncle were being told by the owner that their rooms were not paid for and not being allowed to check in. Luckily, I believe Anne appeared and confirmed all was paid, but I think it would be worth nominating a member of the bridal party to check on all this before guest check in to ensure there are no embarrassing incidents - ultimately we felt we were just lucky that it happened to a family member who knew the bill was settled. I know miscommunications happen on a busy day but it was an unfortunate thing to have to deal with. Some smaller things were that labelled boxes of favours etc were provided for the tables, as not all tables were getting the same thing (e.g., kids table) but the right items did not go on the right tables - again, worth nominating a member of the bridal party to check on things before people are brought in for dinner. And lastly, similar to the check in issue, we'd changed the name on a booked room to another guest a few days before the wedding as another person couldn't make it, but the new person was told there was no record of them. All of the negatives were confined to the last few days of organising and the day itself and I can appreciate we got married at an extremely busy time of year, so really I'd just recommend checking and double-checking that any changes, requests or payments you make in the final few days before your big day have been acknowledged/looked after.

We had a dream day, Darver Castle and all the staff where magical from start to finish. We can't recommend the venue, staff, food and decor highly enough.

From the moment we viewed Darver we knew we found our venue. We are living in Australia so all correspondence was via phone and email and Darver were amazing. They took all the stress out of organising the venue. Can not recommend them enough. Everything was amazing on the day and we had the best day imaginable.

Wow, I cannot express how phenomenal Darver Castle and their staff were for our wedding 2 weeks ago. The venue itself looked amazing all set up for Christmas and both Anne our coordinator and Mary/ Fiona on the day were invaluable to all of our guests so much so that Mary got a standing ovation for her assistance. We were completely at ease and everything ran so smoothly from the minute we arrived, all we needed to do was enjoy our day. The food, is absolutely exceptional, every one of our 165 guest raved about it, portions were more than ample and the service was swift to each table with hot food for all. Absolutely and undeniably THE BEST VENUE I have ever been to and the value for money is certainly there. Definitely a strong recommendation from both my husband and I. Delighted we chose Darver for our wedding.

Darver Castle is AMAZING! We planned our wedding from Vancouver, Canada so most of it was done online. The team over at Darver was so helpful, kind, flexible, and responsive! On the day of the wedding, the coordinator helped us throughout the whole evening. They really take care of everything and make you feel so special! The food was unreal and everything looked BEAUTIFUL. They stay wilth you till the very end and are always making sure your glasses are full! Darver also does an excellent job taking care of all the vendors. they truly are so thoughtful and amazing. I cannot recommend them enough. Everything went so smoothly and if I were to do it again, they would be picked first...AGAIN!!

The staff at Darver could not have been any more helpful. On the day of the wedding they worked away behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. The cake hadn't arrived by 4pm but they sorted it out without us even knowing. The food was beautiful, the surroundings are fabulous and the Castle itself is beautiful. I have nothing negative to say about Darver either in the run up to the day or on the day itself.

I find it hard to know where to start in explaining the service we received from everyone in Darver castle in the run up to and on the day itself. They went above and beyond measure to ensure we had a wonderful day to remember. We never had anything to worry about during the preparation, they guided us the whole way. Even though we celebrated our wedding day near the end of 2012 they made us feel like we were there only wedding that year. Julia, Mary, Trevor and Aidan we will forever be grateful for the day you gave us in celebrating with our family and friends.

Claire was an absolute pleasure to be around the morning of my wedding! Her advice from the off set was great and the hairstyles where exactly what I asked for. I'd have hesitation in recommending her to any future bride.
