Dromoland Castle

The absolute picture-perfect wedding. We truly could not be happier. From the service, to the food, to the rooms, to the activities, to everything in between, you feel like you are the ONLY guest at the Castle when you get married here. Our guests said it was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Everything was perfect and they were with us every step of the way. If you're even considering a wedding here, don't think, just DO IT!

Dromoland Castle truly was a Fairytale Venue. Susan our coordinator was fabulous. The food and wine were out of this world and I was amazed at how child friendly the venue is. 5 star in everyway

Absolutely flawless service. Everyone at the castle was incredibly accommodating, kind, and helpful. We could not have dreamed up a better team to put together our big day! The only slight suggestion I would offer is that the response time can be a bit delayed, depending on how busy they are.

We cannot say enough about how amazing every single person at Dromoland Castle is. Everyone there went out of their way to make sure the entire experience was perfect for us. The event coordinators there handled everything impeccably, easy to work with, and thorough in providing information to any questions. The sommelier was wonderful, along with the incredibly delicious food and fantastic staff. The arrangement and display for everything was beautiful, from the ceremony layout to the dining reception. Anne Romer was our florist for the event. She was wonderful and sweet. The flowers were beautiful and she prepared everything we needed at kept to our budget. Katrina did a beautiful job with all our hair styles and was so patient with us. We were fortune enough to meet so many wonderful and delightful people at Dromoland. Every detail of the wedding was perfect and that was solely due to all the amazing and wonderful people working at Dromoland Castle. They all did everything they could to make the entire experience special and as stress free for us as they could.

Dromoland Castle was absolutely amazing! We've been married seven months now and we still can't believe how fantastic our wedding was!

We planned a destination wedding in Dromoland Castle while living in California. We had never visited the Castle and booked sight unseen based on reviews and the website. Despite the glowing reviews and gorgeous pictures we were naturally nervous about booking a place we had never visited. Fortunately, Susan Eyles was very communicative and set us at ease that we were definitely picking a professional, well run location. Throughout the wedding planning, which included some personal disasters and set backs, Dromoland continued to be flexible, communicative, and respectful.

When we finally arrived in Ireland and went to see the venue (five days before our wedding) we met with Margaret who kindly waited for us even though we were running late. She took her time to show us around the various options, offered to store a lot of our wedding stuff, and even brought us drinks and biscuits! Again, she provided this fantastic service despite us being over an hour late for our appointment and it was the end of the day! I felt like a princess and was so glad we chose Dromoland.

The day of the wedding was no different. We had rented out the spa to get dressed in and ordered a light lunch. Everything arrived as requested, the space was beautiful and calming, and again, the service was top-notch. There was an implicit understanding that no request was too small or impossible. Literally everything I needed or wanted was provided promptly and with a smile, down to a porter locating my missing father when it was time to get to the ceremony!!

An outdoor ceremony was very important to us even with the unpredictability of Irish weather. About an hour before the ceremony Margaret came in to inform us that it was looking like rain and did we want to set up inside? When I expressed how important it was to us to have an outdoor ceremony they offered to set up both inside and outside locations and I could decide which to use at the very moment I was going to head down the aisle! Again, amazing service.

The grounds for pictures are beyond stunning! I admit we ran over on our picture time and still didn't get all of the pictures we wanted simply because there were sooo many amazing options. In retrospect, I would budget at least 1.5 hours for pictures...

While we were taking pictures, our guests were also being treated like royalty with a five star cocktail hour in the lavishly comfortable Drawing Room (it had begun to rain at this point).

The reception was held indoors in their Terrace Room which includes a small library. Being a bookworm I loved the room plus two sides are lined with windows overlooking the grounds. Again, it was perfect and beautiful. The food was amazing! So amazing in fact, that no one had room for cake until several hours later! The only downside to the meal was the kitchen forgetting that my husband doesn't drink alcohol and they accidentally put an alcohol based sauce on his desert. When we notified them of the mistake the immediately offered to bring in something else or change it out for a desert that didn't have the sauce.

By the end of the night one of our guest's infant son was getting tired and the staff brought out a portable playpen to lay him in, without our even asking.

The bridal suite is beyond words! Two stories- a comfortable, sunny sitting room with a lofted bedroom and absolutely stunning bathroom. The bathroom had an enormous bathtub that looked out over the grounds. The room was an absolute dream!

In sum, Dromoland Castle was gorgeous with out of this world service and the absolutely perfect venue for any wedding. Our only regret was that we were only able to stay one night!

I genuinely couldn't find a fault with the this venue or the whole experience. There is a reason Margaret comes so highly recommended and in both my and my husbands opinion she exceeded our expectations. From the first email the experience was sheer professionalism, nothing was too much or too little to ask. It's easy to forget that venues have so many other weddings etc. on going, but Margaret really understands how important this is and almost makes you feel like you are the first and only couple to get married there! The food tasting experience was one of the best days, we got an amazing warm welcome and throughout the meal different managers, waiters etc. introduce themselves and really make you feel welcome. I'm struggling to think of the sommelier / waiters name at the tasting, but he was a real pleasure. On the day, things couldn't have gone smoother. Lets me honest, you do pay for the venue / experience etc. but the quality, food and service is second to none. The day really was an amazing experience. They seem to think of everything, parents not having to check in, their bags waiting in the rooms for them, and simply handing them the key discretely at dinner. And also, my favorite moment and I wish I got the barmans name .... My husbands friends wanted to get me a beer they had on the stag, it was not in stock in the bar, so the barman got into his own car and drove into Ennis, and reappeared a short while later with the drink. No one asked him to do this, but it just adds to the point that Dromoland really do go above and beyond to make your wedding day special.

Margaret from Dromoland was amazing... so accommodating and helpful. The staff on the day of the event were so courteous and helpful that my guests commented on having the best service of any wedding they had attended. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and with the right lighting and decor the ballroom can be transformed into a romantic, whimsical space. Dromoland was the perfect place for our wedding.

We had the most perfect day for our wedding at Dromoland. The team were amazing, the service impeccable and Margaret, the wedding co-ordinator was so organised and on top of everything. Her attention to detail was incredible and we were made to feel very welcomed and special.
We've been back as a wedding guest since and felt the exact same high level of service and responsiveness.
We love the staff at Dromoland, lovely normal local people with great stories to tell!
It is a 5 star hotel with a great Irish personality!

Thank you so much for organising everything for our wedding! We had the most amazing weekend and all of our guests really enjoyed themselves! Pamela did an great job making sure everything ran smoothly on Saturday and we were thrilled she was there to help.

Veerpal and the team did an amazing job with BBQ too. We couldn't believe how well it was done. Everyone had an amazing time.

It is amazing how time flies when you are enjoying yourself! I can?t believe that it?s already 5 days since we were walking into Dromoland with the excitement of what was to come. Our families, friends, Ken and I really had a truly wonderful few days with you all.

Everyone was so welcoming, accommodating, helpful and positive. It was a pleasure to be there. From Cara, Tom, Mick and the wonderful John we all felt most welcome. Deirdre and staff looked after us all so well on the Thursday evening.

Nico and all the staff were fantastic on the Friday. Your organization, calm reassurance, and thoughtful gestures really made it a great weekend. The robes, the Dromoland ducks for the kids and champagne were greatly appreciated all round.

Ken was so impressed with your welcome to him on Thursday. "Welcome home!". He included it in his speech.

So, thank you so very much for making our wedding the time of our lives. I had wanted to thank you personally on Saturday, however time got the better of me. I did, however, catch a glimpse of you making another lovely bride feel exceptional on her day.

We picked Dromoland for the venue, and indeed it is fabulous, but it is the warmth of the staff that we will remember! We won't be strangers.
