Dromoland Castle truly was a Fairytale Venue. Susan our coordinator was fabulous. The food and wine were out of this world and I was amazed at how child friendly the venue is. 5 star in everyway

Where to start! This place is amazing! Im almost hesitant to write my review as I would love to keep this our little secret- but I am so happy and excited, I have to share my experience! I was so nervous planning our wedding as we live overseas and thought planning would be more difficult doing all via email. Margaret is the wedding co-ordinator and is exceptional at her job. She has been doing it for years and trust me she knows what she's doing! The service from all staff, from the moment you walk in (go for a walk through and even then you will see) was genuine and super friendly, they love their job! All roles are taken very seriously and professionally but are not pretentious, all are so helpful, from concierge to the waiters, from sommeliers to management. And for responsiveness, my bridesmaids can be witness to how quick they were to help. When one of the bridesmaid's dress had a zip disaster, within 5 minutes they had 5 staff (if not more) including a seamstress on hand to help, keeping in mind they were so discreet I had no idea until we were leaving to walk to the ceremony and the matter had been solved! I had the best day of my life, I know all Brides say this but this was beyond whatever I could have imagined. It was all the little things that just make you feel special and like a princess, which is how you should feel on your big day, especially getting to celebrate actually in a castle! Better yet, as most of us Brides will find, we do alot of the planning and just hope the groom will enjoy most of what we have chosen..my husband was amazed by the service and care from the staff and he too had never experienced such a high standard of service and attention- and he is picky! Good luck to all future Brides, know that if you choose Dromoland, you will be very well looked after and will have no regrets. You will have wonderful magical memories for a lifetime and maybe Dromland Castle will be your new 'Happy Place', it sure is mine :)

Absolutely flawless service. Everyone at the castle was incredibly accommodating, kind, and helpful. We could not have dreamed up a better team to put together our big day! The only slight suggestion I would offer is that the response time can be a bit delayed, depending on how busy they are.

Beautiful location, the grounds are stunning and the function room & balcony for the drinks reception are really spectacular. The staff on the day were brilliant, very professional & very friendly. Attention to detail is superb. In the build up to the wedding there were a few brief and very pleasant meetings with the staff to discuss aspects of the day, you really felt that they had everything sorted & then as the wedding approached it was nice to be able to feel comfortable & relax and enjoy the excitement in the knowledge that the day really was now in the hands of the professional. We loved our day & would 100% recommend Dromoland Castle as a wedding venue.

This Castle was much cheaper than many of the surrounding castles and we booked without having seen the place or having visited. The cost was not representative of the property, as the property was immaculate and 5 star. The rooms were outstanding for the most part, the service was exceptional all the way around. We were a small party and I was slightly worried that because we didn't rent the entire place they would give us less consideration, but they didn't, they treated us as if we had rented the entire place. Every staff member we came across knew our names and treated us like we owned the place. Dromoland made the experience as magical as we could have hoped for.

We cannot say enough about how amazing every single person at Dromoland Castle is. Everyone there went out of their way to make sure the entire experience was perfect for us. The event coordinators there handled everything impeccably, easy to work with, and thorough in providing information to any questions. The sommelier was wonderful, along with the incredibly delicious food and fantastic staff. The arrangement and display for everything was beautiful, from the ceremony layout to the dining reception. Anne Romer was our florist for the event. She was wonderful and sweet. The flowers were beautiful and she prepared everything we needed at kept to our budget. Katrina did a beautiful job with all our hair styles and was so patient with us. We were fortune enough to meet so many wonderful and delightful people at Dromoland. Every detail of the wedding was perfect and that was solely due to all the amazing and wonderful people working at Dromoland Castle. They all did everything they could to make the entire experience special and as stress free for us as they could.

We had an amazing day the staff on the day were spectacular. The venue itself is perfect for a fairy tale wedding. The only bad points were the co-coordinator was hard to get hold off and I would recommend getting everything in writing as she changed her mind on a few things that we had to argue to get back. Also shop around for suppliers as the hotels recommendations were over priced and in some cases disappointing on the day.

We had an amazing day at this elegant setting, in a real castle. I felt like a princess, and my family was treated like royalty. We had family traveling from the USA and all over Ireland to share our day with us, and they are still talking about the amazing time we had and the gorgeous venue. Thank you for all of your work in making this day special for us.

Dromoland Castle was absolutely amazing! We've been married seven months now and we still can't believe how fantastic our wedding was! We planned a destination wedding in Dromoland Castle while living in California. We had never visited the Castle and booked sight unseen based on reviews and the website. Despite the glowing reviews and gorgeous pictures we were naturally nervous about booking a place we had never visited. Fortunately, Susan Eyles was very communicative and set us at ease that we were definitely picking a professional, well run location. Throughout the wedding planning, which included some personal disasters and set backs, Dromoland continued to be flexible, communicative, and respectful. When we finally arrived in Ireland and went to see the venue (five days before our wedding) we met with Margaret who kindly waited for us even though we were running late. She took her time to show us around the various options, offered to store a lot of our wedding stuff, and even brought us drinks and biscuits! Again, she provided this fantastic service despite us being over an hour late for our appointment and it was the end of the day! I felt like a princess and was so glad we chose Dromoland. The day of the wedding was no different. We had rented out the spa to get dressed in and ordered a light lunch. Everything arrived as requested, the space was beautiful and calming, and again, the service was top-notch. There was an implicit understanding that no request was too small or impossible. Literally everything I needed or wanted was provided promptly and with a smile, down to a porter locating my missing father when it was time to get to the ceremony!! An outdoor ceremony was very important to us even with the unpredictability of Irish weather. About an hour before the ceremony Margaret came in to inform us that it was looking like rain and did we want to set up inside? When I expressed how important it was to us to have an outdoor ceremony they offered to set up both inside and outside locations and I could decide which to use at the very moment I was going to head down the aisle! Again, amazing service. The grounds for pictures are beyond stunning! I admit we ran over on our picture time and still didn't get all of the pictures we wanted simply because there were sooo many amazing options. In retrospect, I would budget at least 1.5 hours for pictures... While we were taking pictures, our guests were also being treated like royalty with a five star cocktail hour in the lavishly comfortable Drawing Room (it had begun to rain at this point). The reception was held indoors in their Terrace Room which includes a small library. Being a bookworm I loved the room plus two sides are lined with windows overlooking the grounds. Again, it was perfect and beautiful. The food was amazing! So amazing in fact, that no one had room for cake until several hours later! The only downside to the meal was the kitchen forgetting that my husband doesn't drink alcohol and they accidentally put an alcohol based sauce on his desert. When we notified them of the mistake the immediately offered to bring in something else or change it out for a desert that didn't have the sauce. By the end of the night one of our guest's infant son was getting tired and the staff brought out a portable playpen to lay him in, without our even asking. The bridal suite is beyond words! Two stories- a comfortable, sunny sitting room with a lofted bedroom and absolutely stunning bathroom. The bathroom had an enormous bathtub that looked out over the grounds. The room was an absolute dream! In sum, Dromoland Castle was gorgeous with out of this world service and the absolutely perfect venue for any wedding. Our only regret was that we were only able to stay one night!

Unbelievable place to get married. It was the day of our dreams. The staff are incredible - from the salon staff to the wedding organising team (Margaret and Susan) to the staff on the day. I was overwhelmed with their support they offered us. As we live in London, we were unable to visit very often but they were very accommodating to fit us in when we were over and help in discussions/recommendation of suppliers. We were married in the Brian Boru Hall (stunning!) and I had my hair and make up done in the salon (which is a lovely room too). I would thoroughly recommend the venue - the grounds are stunning and the day is truly one to remember. You'd be silly not to consider them.

Dromoland Castle is a stunning and elegant venue that allowed me to have my dream wedding. The wedding co-ordinator Margaret was extremely professional, helpful and supportive in every way and all our needs were met. Nothing was too much trouble and every event was planned in great detail. It really was an amazing day and I would highly recommend Dromoland Castle to any other future brides.

I genuinely couldn't find a fault with the this venue or the whole experience. There is a reason Margaret comes so highly recommended and in both my and my husbands opinion she exceeded our expectations. From the first email the experience was sheer professionalism, nothing was too much or too little to ask. It's easy to forget that venues have so many other weddings etc. on going, but Margaret really understands how important this is and almost makes you feel like you are the first and only couple to get married there! The food tasting experience was one of the best days, we got an amazing warm welcome and throughout the meal different managers, waiters etc. introduce themselves and really make you feel welcome. I'm struggling to think of the sommelier / waiters name at the tasting, but he was a real pleasure. On the day, things couldn't have gone smoother. Lets me honest, you do pay for the venue / experience etc. but the quality, food and service is second to none. The day really was an amazing experience. They seem to think of everything, parents not having to check in, their bags waiting in the rooms for them, and simply handing them the key discretely at dinner. And also, my favorite moment and I wish I got the barmans name .... My husbands friends wanted to get me a beer they had on the stag, it was not in stock in the bar, so the barman got into his own car and drove into Ennis, and reappeared a short while later with the drink. No one asked him to do this, but it just adds to the point that Dromoland really do go above and beyond to make your wedding day special.

The wedding was absolutely phenomenal and brilliant. We loved the walled garden and grounds. The staff did an amazing job of finding the very best to complete our wedding. From the bag pipe to the trap ride, it was the best day of our lives.

Margaret from Dromoland was amazing... so accommodating and helpful. The staff on the day of the event were so courteous and helpful that my guests commented on having the best service of any wedding they had attended. The grounds are absolutely stunning, and with the right lighting and decor the ballroom can be transformed into a romantic, whimsical space. Dromoland was the perfect place for our wedding.

Having our wedding in dromoland castle was the best decision we ever made and the best weekend of our lives. Not only is the castle itself outstandingly beautiful, and the food is honestly the best I've ever tasted, "I actually have dreams about the apple pie" the staff were also amazing and couldn't be faulted and do enough for you. From the minute we walked though the door we were treated like royalty, every one was so friendly and I felt they genuinely cared about making our wedding day perfect. Especially the wedding co-Ordinator, her Input and attention to detail made the day run smoothly and made everything stress free. Not only was our day the best ever but our guests were truly amazed at how breathtaking the castle and the reception itself was, so much so that it inspired some of our guests to get married. We got married two years ago and our guests are still on a wedding high and say that we have definitely set the bar incredibly high for all family and friends future weddings. We stayed in dromoland for 5 days along with lots of family and friends and the unique feel of the castle and relaxed atmosphere made it feel like we were at home. It is my absolute favourite place and we will be returning for the 5th time next year.

We had a wonderful experience having our wedding reception in Dromoland Castle. The service was exceptional and the food was just incredible. We had the most beautiful bridal suite and were made to feel at home. We had an unforgettable day.

Dromoland's wedding planner Margaret Daly was incredibly helpful and responsive at every stage of our planning & wedding, as were all as the team.

I can't say enough about how helpful the team were at Dromoland in organising our wedding day and on the day itself. I had to make most of the arrangements for our wedding from Australia and Margaret was incredibly helpful on email and over the phone. She was able to accommodate all of our requests and was also able to arrange meetings with me at short notice when I was able to be in Ireland prior to the wedding. On the day itself the service provided by the staff was fabulous. The packages and information provided to us made it very straightforward to get most of the arrangements in place and all of our guests raved about the quality of the venue and the food.

We had the most perfect day for our wedding at Dromoland. The team were amazing, the service impeccable and Margaret, the wedding co-ordinator was so organised and on top of everything. Her attention to detail was incredible and we were made to feel very welcomed and special. We've been back as a wedding guest since and felt the exact same high level of service and responsiveness. We love the staff at Dromoland, lovely normal local people with great stories to tell! It is a 5 star hotel with a great Irish personality! We love it there!

We were married at Dromoland Castle in 2013 and couldn't be happier at our choice in venue. Everything went so smoothly. Our wedding co-ordinator was great - always available, provided lots of names and suppliers for flowers, music, etc, and made sure everything ran smoothly on the day. We planned our wedding in 3 months, so we were fortunate to have her! I would certainly recommend Dromoland for future weddings.

The staff at Dromoland were very helpful, informative, patient and professional. They accommodated any last minute changes, provided excellent advice and helped us when necessary. The tasting dinner evening was amazing. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. On the day itself, everyone from the florist to the late night barman, were professional, courteous and helpful. The bridal suite wasn't the one we originally wanted, but even our second choice was epic. We've been back for our 1st anniversary, and again, the castle and staff didn't let us down.

Dear Margaret, Thank you so much for organising everything for our wedding! We had the most amazing weekend and all of our guests really enjoyed themselves! Pamela did an great job making sure everything ran smoothly on Saturday and we were thrilled she was there to help. Veerpal and the team did an amazing job with BBQ too. Hi Margaret, I am back at work and back into the swing of things now... just! And loving being a married woman so far. Dave and I are still talking which is a good sign! ;) I’m sorry we didn’t get to see you again before we left Ireland. Just wanted to say one last and VERY big thank you for all of your help both leading up to and on the day of our wedding. We had the best day/weekend of our lives and almost completely owe that to you and your colleagues at Dromoland. We are utterly astounded at the level of service and professionalism you offer and truly believe we could not have picked a better place in the world to host our big day. We will remember it forever and hopefully be back one day to visit... anniversary perhaps! Hint hint to my new hubby! Dear Mark, I am writing to let you know how delighted we are that we hosted our daughter’s wedding reception at Dromoland. From the moment we arrived the attention and service we received was second to none and left our entire family with many many happy memories of a marvellous weekend. My first point of contact was Margaret Daly and she was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Nothing ever appeared to be too much trouble and her advice and assistance were invaluable. As with Margaret every member of your staff that we had contact with were also a pleasure to deal with and this went a very long way to making our stay extra special. You obviously take staff training seriously, and it shows. Unfortunately these days this is a rare occurrence. The wedding reception itself was a huge success with all our guests raving about the food and service. So my sincere thanks to you and your staff and I look forward to returning to Dromoland.

Dear Margaret, It is amazing how time flies when you are enjoying yourself! I can’t believe that it’s already 5 days since we were walking into Dromoland with the excitement of what was to come. Our families, friends, Ken and I really had a truly wonderful few days with you all. Everyone was so welcoming, accommodating, helpful and positive. It was a pleasure to be there. From Cara, Tom, Mick and the wonderful John we all felt most welcome. Deirdre and staff looked after us all so well on the Thursday evening. Nico and all the staff were fantastic on the Friday. Your organization, calm reassurance, and thoughtful gestures really made it a great weekend. The robes, the Dromoland ducks for the kids and champagne were greatly appreciated all round. Ken was so impressed with your welcome to him on Thursday. "Welcome home!". He included it in his speech. So, thank you so very much for making our wedding the time of our lives. I had wanted to thank you personally on Saturday, however time got the better of me. I did, however, catch a glimpse of you making another lovely bride feel exceptional on her day. We picked Dromoland for the venue, and indeed it is fabulous, but it is the warmth of the staff that we will remember! We won't be strangers.
