We celebrated the night before, our wedding day and the day 2 at Lyrath Estate and from the minute we arrived our experience was exceptional.

The food and service was excellent throughout and the venue itself is beautiful. All of the team were so friendly and helpful to ourselves and all of our guests.

A special thank you to Candice who goes above and beyond her role as a wedding co ordinator. Her professionalism and attention to detail made sure the weekend ran seamlessly. And to Peter & Sean for making sure our guests had such a good experience. We didn’t worry about a thing all weekend - the team are so experienced and took care of everything.

I cannot recommend Lyrath enough in relation to planning a wedding. They were always so professional yet friendly and flexible to accommodate any request with such grace. They made the whole experience so relaxed and memorable for us. The day of the wedding I cannot fault any member of the Lyrath team - they work seamlessly together and it felt like a home away from home the few days we stayed after the wedding.

What started off as a stay for a birthday celebration ended up becoming the venue for our wedding celebration. Lyrath, oozes with elegance, class and seamless service with the best staff in any hotel in Ireland. While Lyrath Estate is a stunning venue the people in Lyrath make it what it is today and it is a very special place. Candice is the wedding co ordinator, and this lady really does have it all. From being so attentive to understanding, Candice encapsulates everything a wedding co ordinator should be and more. The level of detail, explanation and organisation made our special day the perfection it turned out to be. No stone was left unturned, nothing was ever an issue or too much of an ask and when you get married at Lyrath the hotel really do take you in as one of their own and they go above and beyond for the couple and their families and guests. Our guests where blown away just as much as we were and the food was absolutely amazing, sometimes you hear at weddings that the top table get the best food and service, well rest assured this is not the case at Lyrath every single person we talked too at our wedding of 150 people could not get over the how nice the staff were, how amazing the food was and the service provided during a very busy dinner reception. Lyrath cannot be matched for what it offers as a wedding venue, to the ceremony outside, to the drinks reception in the old house and the dinner in the function room, it is top class from start to finish. Not forgetting the beauty of the outdoors and the grounds surrounding Lyrath for wedding party photos and for your wedding guests to enjoy a stroll. We had our Day 2 also at Lyrath and we had it in the Pavillon. Which is the perfect outdoor setting for a BBQ. My Dad still talks about the food we had and boy it did not disappoint. It was just amazing from start to finish. I could write all day about Lyrath Estate and how many perfect this location is for a wedding, but I honestly couldn’t find enough words to describe its sheer excellence. I only hope that if you consider Lyrath as your location that you grab your date with both hands as it will without a shadow of a doubt be the best decision you ever make, and we feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to marry and have our special day in Lyrath Estate.

What can I say Lyrath went above and beyond in making our day so special. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. The food on the day was absolutely fabulous our guests are still raving about it fantastic taste and quality of food was served. But a huge thank you to staff member Candice who helped us plan our special day and went to great lengths to ensure all our needs were met. Overall Would highly recommend having your special day here it will definitely be a magical experience you won’t forget. We look forward to returning again for a stay soon.

We got married last month in the Lyrath Estate Hotel and everyone had an absolute ball.

We can’t thank our wedding co-ordinator, Candice enough for all her help in the lead up to the wedding and on the day of the wedding itself. She was very helpful and took us through the day from start to finish on many occasions before it happened.

The Lyrath Estate staff were brilliant throughout the weekend and really made our guests feel at ease. The food and service were top class.

We, along with our guests, stayed in Lyrath for our wedding night. They could not have been more attentive and helpful. The manager came to find my now husband on our wedding morning just so he could introduce himself. We were provided with a private room the morning after the wedding for an intimate family breakfast. We were also able to use the hotel and its grounds for amazing photos. The food was absolutely amazing. We are already counting down the days til we can return for our 1 year anniversary.

From the moment we walked into Lyrath Estate we knew it was where we wanted to get married. Our day was an absolute dream and everything we could have wished for an more.

The venue, the food and the staff are out of this world. A special mention needs to be given to our wedding coordinator Gill who went above and beyond to make sure our day was all we dreamed of and more.

All of our guests commented on both the beautiful venue and the amazing food. Nothing was ever too big an ask and we throughly enjoyed popping up to the hotel for wedding tastings and meetings with Gill.

Gill was so helpful and obliging that it made the planning of the wedding stress free which meant we had time to enjoy the run up to it and celebrate with family and friends. She is absolutely amazing at her job and you can tell within five minutes that she loves what she does. Gill is an absolute lady and a pleasure to deal with. We had so much fun with her.

One look at this hotel and you?ll fall in love. The attention to detail in the hotel is amazing. The staff are friendly, mannerly and kind. We wanted our guests to feel special and that's exactly what happened.

Where do I start ! Lyrath Estate was absolutely superb from start to finish, I could not recommend this hotel venue highly enough. Gill the wedding coordinator was fantastic and guided me through every detail of the wedding, no request was too big or too small. On the day, Emma-Jayne, Susan and Boban were so helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. The venue decorations, the drinks reception and the main meal were perfect. All of the food was delicious and nothing was left behind. I have numerous family members with severe allergies and everyone was catered for to the highest standard. We had the best day of our lives in Lyrath Estate and again I could not recommend it highly enough!

We got married in the Lyrath in April 2022 and couldn't recommend it more. We planned our wedding from Australia and Gill (wedding co-ordinator) couldn't have been more accommodating. Gill and the team were extremely responsive to our emails and calls and made the whole process stress-free. All of our guests complimented the excellent hospitality with the food and service second to none. The staff in the hotel were amazing from start to finish, particularly Gill, Darragh and Boban who helped make our day so special. We have just received our wedding photos and video back with incredible shots at the lake on the Estate. The mix of old and new between the Manor house and the modern function room really distinguishes the Lyrath from other venues. Thanks to everyone at the Lyrath for making our day so special.

Lyrath is top class and we had the most magical day for our wedding in December. The decor in the hotel was like a winter wonderland and provided a fabulous backdrop for our photos. We were blessed with a clear bright day and we went to the lake beside the hotel for our photos. So beautiful. The meal was amazing and we got lots of compliments. Gill was our wedding coordinator and she couldn't of done enough for us.

From start to finish, we were delighted with how everything went. Gill helped us with all the planning and she was very easy to work with - she was very organised, thought of everything and gave us plenty of time to make any decisions.

Everything went to plan on the day, thanks to the brilliant staff, and in particular Nathan who looked after us on the day. The food was delicious, from the drinks reception through to the meal and late night buffet. We are still talking about the dinner!

We really liked that the dining room included a separate dance floor, so there was no need to move away the tables and the band could start immediately after the speeches. The old house is also a beautiful setting for the drinks reception, plus there is outside space if you get a sunny day. The hotel is also big enough that most of our guests were able to stay there.

Overall we would highly recommend Lyrath to any couple!

We booked our wedding with Lyrath Estate in November 2018, and our wedding took place in July 2019. We worked directly with Gill throughout the process - she was just excellent to deal with, and nothing we asked for was a problem. At every meeting, Gill had a full update for us, and worked through the list in an extremely professional manner. The day itself was magical (despite the weather!). We had amazing feedback from everyone who attended. We would highly recommend the Lyrath for anyone considering venues for their wedding. Thanks again to Gill for making it all so easy!

My husband and I had our wedding reception in the Lyrath estate on the 31st May 2019 and the staff couldn't have done enough for us. During the planning stage, Iona was so helpful and a pleasure to deal with, every minor detail was looked after and nothing was ever an issue. On the day Nathan looked after us, Nathan and his team were really amazing. Everything ran so smoothly and the food was absolutely gorgeous. The Lyrath really was everything we could have wished for and more. The venue is beautiful and the grounds, there are so many places to get gorgeous photos. So many of our guests commented how amazing the hotel was and such a relaxing atmosphere. We cannot wait to go back again and cannot thank Iona, Nathan and the team enough.

The Lyrath was a very beautiful setting for our wedding. In particular the rooms within the Manor House, where the Arrival Reception was held, are full of gorgeous period charm. The hotel was very cosy despite the March weather. Overall the day went smoothly from start to finish thanks to the preparation, attention to detail, warmth and professionalism of the staff there. We would highly recommend this hotel to other couples planning their special day!

Lyrath is the perfect venue for a wedding! We had about 200 guests and so many of them said "we are definitely coming back to this place". The food is incredible and we had the honour of meeting the amazing chef Abi (everyone raved about the food), there was plenty of drink and the grounds are stunning and so unique(amazing for photos). Gill was our wedding coordinator and she went above and beyond. Lyrath is so unique in their service- while it's a 5 star hotel, you don't feel the staff are being friendly because they have to. There is a warmth and friendliness that makes you feel a part of the place. I've never seen this in a hotel before and Gill was a perfect example of that also. You don't just build a "professional" relationship throughout the process, you build a friendship which is so genuine. I hope Lyrath never loose that quality. When we hadn't organised a flower arrangement for the church to bring to the venue for the top table, Gill was one step ahead of us and organised ia florist to make one anyway (she knew us only too well). All staff on the day were so friendly and kind, in particular Nathan, who really looked after us. We visited a lot of venues but couldn't have picked a better one and we cannot wait to go back!!

Absolutely perfect day. I don't know where to start! We got married recently on 27th August 2018 in Lyrath Estate Hotel and from start to finish, it was absolutely brilliant. The whole team, including Gill, Colm, and Nathan were just superb. Our car to the church broke down and Gill organised a beautiful Beaufort wedding car to come from Waterford to collect us from the church. The food at the reception and dinner was delicious and all of our guests commented on how nice and how much food they got! We were in the McCurdy Suite for dinner and it was stunning. The layout, table planning and decor (organised by Gill and Colm) was perfect. The whole day ran so smoothly. We stayed in Lyrath for an extra night and we were treated like royalty from all of the staff, at breakfast, in the spa, at lunch and dinner the next day. We felt so special. All of our guests commented on how kind and obliging the staff were. There is not one thing I could find fault with in Lyrath Estate. Only that we can't do it all over again! We couldn't ask for a better wedding day. Best day of our lives. Thank you so much to all at Lyrath Estate!

We were so impressed with the whole team at Lyrath. The day was perfect and every little detail was appreciated and noted by ourselves and our guests. We felt like a king and queen for the day and had the most amazing time.

We chose The Lyrath Estate Hotel because......
We initially looked passed The Lyrath as it was literally too close to home being on our doorstep, but in the end we just couldn't find where that came close by comparison. We looked farther afield for something a little different but on all levels kept coming back to Kilkenny and to The Lyrath.
Firstly, the setting is Magic!! On driving up - the countryside views and landscapes stretching for miles really creates a breath-taking feel that not many of the larger venues who can cater for numbers of 250+ can offer. Living away from Ireland in Oz, the setting was so important for us as we wanted to feel like we were really at Home, surrounded by Green.
The House and Estate are pristinely kept and even though it has that beautiful Old Estate feel the Lyrath offers superiorly modern amenities and d?cor. The newly renovated ballroom - which has self controlled lighting/background music has a new outdoor decking opening off to the side through huge Glass panels which fills the room with natural light and air and also allows guests who like to take a break from the room - still be a part of the party!!
Their 5 * customer service on all levels left any one else we had dealt with in the waiting blocks.
We were lucky to be gifted with Gillian ? their Events Manager, who was our personal angel in disguise and made organising everything from Australia an absolute breeze. No suggestion was too much and everything we wanted to incorporate into the day was accommodated for. I can honestly say that Gillian and the team made the entire process super enjoyable and easy! All of the organisation was super relaxed? and not only that ? we had such a laugh in the progress.
We had cocktails on the outdoor terrace because the weather was amazing, a whiskey and cigar bar, our own theme incorporated throughout with help from the events theme and florist, all our guests ? especially the ones who traveled were more than accommodated for and this was just the tip of the iceberg.


We completely trusted the expertise the Lyrath had to offer with our menu. Everything we had tried at our tasting and to be honest any time we had went for lunch in the bar, has always been above delicious so we had absolutely no reservations about the food that would be served on the day.
Everyone knows the weather in Ireland is unpredictable. I loved the idea of having an out door drinks reception however its unrealistic to put all of your venue planning eggs in the same basket as the child of Prague!!No problem for the team at the Lyrath - we had the option of having our drinks reception in the fabulous drawing rooms of the house house - or outside in the courtyard area, with view for miles and the house as a back drop. We were so blessed with our 30deg Summer day that there was no other option than to spend teh most part out side and what I loved most was this wasn't even a question or a discussion - we had mentioned this once and on getting to the venue the courtyard was set up for our arrival. We trusted Gillian with a lot of decisions as from our initial meeting with her - her honest approach and advice along with her mass experience in event planning was super obvious. Its very easy and such piece of mind to hand the reigns across knowing you're getting the best options for your budget/theme/ expectations. The canapes perfectly accompanied our summery cocktail selection of Pimm's, Mojitos and Processco.
the menu, to coincide with the summer feel we went with some lighter options of goat's cheese tart, sorbet, sea bass or beef and apple crumble for desert. The food went down a treat and on the advice from the head chef ? left everyone feeling satisfied but not too full to dance!!
We could not recommend the Lyrath highly enough - I think Gillian and her team ( and all the staff throughout the hotel) are really what made the decision for us initially - and proved in the end that we made the right choice in every aspect.

There is nothing we can fault. The service on the day was excellent. Everything was on time and we had a very relaxed day knowing that everything was being taken care of. Also during our drinks reception we missed out on cupcakes and the staff kindly brought us out our own plate of desserts.

We had our wedding at the Lyrath in January 2016. We cannot say enough positives things about our experience there, from the initial booking to the day itself.
It is a big venue, with the ability to accommodate large numbers, but it feels like they really care about each wedding at a personal level.
Communication with Iona was always so easy, which was very important to us as we were planning our wedding from abroad.
The wine cellar was perfect for a post-rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Many of our guests stayed for the wedding night, and they all commented on how helpful and friendly staff were....this was very important to us.
We would highly recommend the Lyrath for anyone planning their wedding. You won't regret it!

It was great all around, the hotel couldn't do enough for us. The food was fab, the venue was perfect as we had a small wedding and the rooms were lovely. We had a wonderful day.

Truely amazing venue- worth paying that little extra for. Everything ran smoothly on the day and loads of guests commented on how lovely all the staff were at all times over the weekend. Lyrath took all requests in their stride and created a truely amazing day for us and all our guests.

Overall a superb venue for a wedding. Everything was taken care of and handled very well on the day which was very important for us. The planning in the months coming up to the wedding were also made very simple for us even though we are living in Australia. The Lyrath staff were happy to do Skype sessions and take our direction for the big day.

Gill, the wedding coordinator, was excellent to deal with, as was Alan the banqueting manager. Loved the old house for the drinks reception and the meal was great.

Our wedding was a great success and the Lyrath staff did everything they could to accommodate us. There were a few hiccups which were sorted without fuss and we didn't even know about it. Food and service was excellent. The suite was deadly. We had our drinks reception outside as the weather was fab and it was perfect. I'd definitely recommend.
