We got married in Wrights Anglers Rest on the 20th April 2024 and we had an amazing day. The minute we booked it with Jenny we knew we had choose the right venue. Jenny & Agata were so helpful to us as we were new to all this and didn’t know what we needed to do there advise was brilliant and we didn’t need to worry about anything even on the day Agata and the staff looked after everything . The day was perfect the staff all made sure that everything ran smoothly . The food was spectacular I wouldn’t have changed anything about the venue or food it is definitely a 10 out of 10 . There is just something special about place it makes the day feel so intimate and personal and a day never to forget x

We had the most incredible day from start to finish it couldnt have been any better. When we made contact with Jenny she was so helpful & friendly & made the planning process so easy. It was great to be able to contact her at any time with questions & to get advice, she even whatsapped us on lots of pictures from previous wedding set up so we got a great feel for the space before we arrived to view. Once booked Agata looked after us, again couldnt have met a nicer person who was more than helpful throughout the process. This venue is just so beautiful & the food, where do I start. Forget about the usual wedding menu, this is far superior & they were happy to look after a few guests who had very specific dietary requirements, nothing was any trouble. Our guest comments since the wedding on both the food & the venue have been amazing, lovely to hear how much all our family & friends enjoyed it. We were made to feel so special throughout & were welcomed like friends on our wedding day. A massive thanks to all the team you absolutely made our day with such a warm & friendly service. I honestly don't know where to start with this review, or how exactly to put into words how special our wedding reception at the Anglers rest last Christmas. We were looked after my Agatha and Betty and from start to finish they made us feel like family and as if our day was as important to them as it was us. If you?re looking for a relaxed, charming, authentic venue where the team genuinely go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect on your big day, this is your venue. Every single one of our guests was so complimentary about the venue and we?re blown away by the decor, hospitality, quality of the food and drink and flexibility and warmth of the team. Agatha deserves a special mention, she was so kind and accommodating throughout this whole process, especially at times when a stressed bride to be needed someone to calm and reassure her ! She treated our families like her own on the day and no request was too big or troublesome. I will be forever grateful that we chose the Anglers Rest for our reception venue, it was perfect in every way and know for a fact we would not have had the memorable day we did had we gone with another venue - I couldn't recommend it more to couples planning their big day, it?ll be the best decision you make! What a lady , herself & Betty couldn't do enough for us right up to our amazing wedding day . I got married here on 14th September 2023 and couldn't recommend the Anglers Rest more. We originally had planned to get married in the Registry Office and have a nice dinner after, but in May 2023, our plans were changed as the dinner venue cancelled our reservation despite knowing our situation. The Anglers Rest was recommended to me as a venue that do beautiful food so I sent an email in May about it. The next day I came across one of their Autumn wedding packages, I wasn't even aware that you could get married there. From there in, everything was smooth sailing, I spoke to Jenny (the events manager) who told me they had space for a wedding on the day we wanted and she talked me through the package, invited us in for a viewing and then put us in touch with Agata, the most amazing wedding coordinator. I knew then that we were in excellent hands and we booked the Anglers Rest to have our wedding ceremony, reception, dinner and afters! From there in, nothing was too big or small of an ask from Agata, she completed forms for me that I needed for the Registry Office, she answered any questions I had and kept in good contact. When we were invited for our menu tasting, I couldn't believe the quality of the food and Agata was there to make sure everything was smooth and we got to taste different wines! We also went up to the ceremony/reception areas to discuss what we wanted from our wedding! The day itself went super smooth, Agata kept me calm and guided me before the ceremony and ensured everything was smooth. Again the food on the day was absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend Agata and the Anglers Rest more, thank you for the most beautiful day!

My husband and I knew from the moment we walked in to view The Angler's Rest and met Agata that this would be where we would have our wedding reception. The food, the atmosphere and the flexibility of the wedding team to make sure the celebrations were exactly how we wanted it meant the day flowed and was a stress free experience. We can't thank Agata and the team enough, we just wish we could do it all over again!

We originally had our wedding booked for July 2020 and had to reschedule three times due to Covid and our living abroad. Everyone we were in contact with was responsive and accommodating to our multiple changes of date over the years. We are amazingly grateful to them for their flexibility and understanding.

The venue itself was wonderful. The ceremony room was beautifully made up, and we didn't have to add anything ourselves as it was already done for us. Likewise with the reception room which looked amazing with its minimal but elegant decor and lighting.

The food and service was amazing. I really enjoyed the beef, and people were raving about the monkfish. The kids menu also looked great, and the children present seemed very happy with their food.

We liked that they suggested we do the speeches after we ordered but before the starters came out, which was preferable to after dessert.

We were worried beforehand that with only 70 guests, there would be little atmosphere. However, the way the room was made out made it seem like it was a much bigger wedding than it was.

Obviously organising a wedding can be a stressful ordeal, but we needn't have stressed with the level of professionalism, care, and detail that the team Angler's put in to make this a great day for the both of us and our guests.

Our guests raved about the venue after and we couldn't have been happier with the venue, the staff, and the food. I would highly recommend the Angler's Rest to anyone getting married.

The venue is dedicated to wedding celebrations, the team are obviously extremely experienced organisers (who gave brilliant suggestions for the evening), layout is spacious (ceremony room, bar area, dining area and balcony) and perfect for a wedding.
Everything on the day was exactly as we requested, the layout was perfect, the tables were perfectly dressed, the food delicious, good wine, and the service highly attentive. It was exactly the celebration we wanted, and could not have gone any better.
We would highly recommend Wright's Anglers Rest for a perfectly organised, stress free, highly enjoyable wedding.

We are delighted we had our wedding in the Anglers Rest! Agata and Betty are the dream team of wedding coordinators and they were always on hand to answer any of our questions. They were extremely professional and even though there are many weddings in the venue, they made us feel very special for our important day. If you book with them, you won't regret it.

We had our wedding on the 4th of March in the Angler's Rest . It was the most amazing day . We couldn't have picked a better venue than to have our big day . Agata was amazing to deal with in the planning of the wedding . On the day itself Agata and all the staff were absolutely brilliant .The food was so so good nobody had a bad word to say about it . Everyone loved the venue and the relaxed atmosphere of it . We would highly recommend booking the Angler's Rest for a wedding venue. You will not be disappointed at all with it . We got married in the Angler's Rest on the 6th of February 2023. The whole team were absolutely amazing to deal with and we had the most amazing day from start to finish.
Everything ran so smoothly, the venue looked absolutely beautiful and of course the food was unbelievably delicious.
We got so many compliments from our guests on the food, decor and generally lovely atmosphere of the Angler's Rest.
We couldn't have asked for a better day. We will definitely be back again soon for a visit to soak in the amazing atmosphere and sample more of the amazing food.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to the fabulous staff at the Anglers Rest, especially Deirdra, Betty, Agatha and Ollie. My sister Siobhan and her partner Tony got married there on the 24th September. A fabulous day was had by all due to the care and attention of all the staff. We couldn't thank the Anglers Wrest more for there professional and friendly service. We had the the best day and we never wanted it to end. We had the most amazing wedding at the Anglers Rest. Agata and the team were absolutely fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for them. We got married on 21st May 2022 in the Anglers Rest. From the beginning we were put at ease by the wonderful Agatha and how in control she was. It seemed nothing was too much to ask and she and the team there had a solution to all of our questions/worries.

The venue itself is unique and beautifully decorated. The ceremony room is warm and intimate which made us feel like all of our guests were part of our special moment. The food was unbelievable. Our most difficult decision was what dishes to leave off the menu on the day! Having everything on the same floor, Including a large balcony, meant that guests could get some air if needed and no had to leave the venue for the entire day.

Thank you to all the team at the Anglers Rest for making our day so memorable. We will definitely we back to the Anglers in 2023 and for many years to come to celebrate our anniversaries.

We had our small intimate wedding in the Anglers Rest in March. We couldn't be happier with how the day went. Agata and all the team are wonderful and were happy to accommodate all our requests. The food is just gorgeous and everyone loved it including the canapés.
We couldn't recommend it enough especially it you are looking for a rustic style wedding with high class food.

We got married in Newman University Church in Dublin City, and our wedding reception and dinner was at Anglers Rest. From start to finish, absolutely perfect. Star of the show - Agata!!!!
This lady is absolutely incredible. Bubbly, friendly, engaging, funny, kind - and just put us at ease throughout. Superb. The room was made up to perfection, Linda had a few small requests for the dinner tables. Done, simple and beautiful. The food was incredible, all i saw was empty plates (an refilled glasses). Because we booked our big day back in early 2019, before the Pandemic arrived......we were almost certain by Sept 2020 that there would be a need to reschedule or cancel. But we got lucky, and we were allowed up to 100 guests. We had 50, and about four days before the wedding the Government said that 100 would be allowed. We kept our numbers at 50. It was absolutely perfect. We filled 7 tables, an were allowed a piano man until 11pm. We had a huge Spotify playlist hooked up to the speaker beforehand - it was brilliant :D
Staff were all fantastic, and so accommodating. Nothing was too big a deal for them.

From our first interaction with the Anglers Rest we cannot fault the experience we had with them. From the tasting menu right through to the reception Alison and the whole team could not have done enough for us. Nothing was an issue, the day went perfectly and we have had many people tell us it was the best wedding they were ever at, all of them singing the praises of the Anglers Rest. The food and wine was gorgeous and we were looked after so well. My grandmother was absolutely spoiled by the staff on the day, something that meant a lot. Everybody there goes out of their way to ensure you have the day you want, the team are really excellent. Alison and all the kind staff- thank you for making our day so special. You would be hard pressed to find a better wedding venue.

2019 wedding venue in Leinster for a reason! Food was marvellous,literally every plate was left clean, the wine and the choices of bottles superb. The venue, really speaks for itself, rustic and romantic. The attention to detail is what brings it all together. We had such a relaxed fun day, everything ran so smooth and this was mostly down to the amazing Alison (wedding planner) and all the staff there. Each and everyone was so welcoming and warm from the minute we met them until 3am when it came to an end . Anglers was exactly our dream wedding come true.

Amazing venue, guests loved it!

We had our special day on the 8 September this year. From our first contact with Alison we knew this was the venue for us. The ceremony room is gorgeous, this is were we did our group photos. The anglers rest is reknown for its food and the menu we had to choose from was amazing. Our guests had the choice of 3 starters & 3 main courses which you don't usually see at weddings. Emails were responded to very quickly so any questions we had were answered promptly. Some of our suppliers were very familiar with the anglers rest so it made working with them much easier. All the staff were very professional which made the day run very smoothly.
They supplied the flowers for the tables, the red carpet, the post box for the cards. We had to add very little decoration to the venue which really cut down on costs.
Overall we do not have one bad thing to say about our venue. Our parents & guests all complimented us on our choice.

Our wedding took place in The Angler's Rest and we couldn't have chosen a better venue. Ewa-Aga, Alison, Oliver & team were excellent and extremely helpful right from the very start. The Angler's Rest is a stunning venue with that rustic charm that we wanted. The food was of the highest quality and the menu choices set it apart from other venues. Our setting was intimate to cater for our 80 guests in a comfortable and relaxing way. We were blessed with beautiful weather and the decking area provided a wonderful backdrop to a great day. We will cherish our special day with the joy of knowing that we chose the right venue and a very professional team to cater for all our needs. Well done to everyone involved and we would highly recommend this venue.

We got married at the Anglers Rest on Easter weekend in April and had the most amazing day! Every detail from planning how we'd use the space, deciding the food and drink and organizing various vendors to set-up and take down was smooth and easy thanks to their on-site wedding coordinator, Ewa. On the day itself, the staff were so helpful, calm and accommodating- we really felt taken care of!
Everyone raved about the quality of the food - many of our guests said it was the best meal they'd had in a long time! The service was impeccable and the romantic and whimsical atmosphere really added to the magic of our day! I would 100% recommend the Anglers Rest as a wedding venue to anyone looking for a romantic and intimate venue where quality and service are guaranteed! The Anglers Rest is the perfect laid back venue for any foodie. We loved it. The setting, the staff, the service, we just had the best day. We wanted a venue that was not pretentious where we could have the ceremony and reception in one place. The Anglers not only met our expectations, it exceeded them. None of our guests had been before and all commented on how amazing the place, service and food was. The staff were the most helpful and friendly I have ever met.

The staff at the Anglers Rest were so helpful and made our day very special. We did not have to worry about a thing so we were able to relax and enjoy the day with our friends and family.

The Anglers Rest hosted our wedding reception in Dec 2017.

Having eaten in the restaurant before, we knew the food would be top notch nosh, and it didn't disappoint. The food was our first reason for considering the Anglers and that was entirely justified. In fact, it was the only place we considered.

When we met with Noeleen, she was instantly reassuring. She was composed and had all the boxes ticked before we even knew they existed. We dropped off a bag of bits the night before and trusted Noeleen to figure it out. And she did.

If you've seen photos of the Anglers Rest and thought it looks stunning, you should see it in reality. Quaint and cosy, yet open and spacious. The setting was perfect for our 50 odd guests, many of whom were under six years of age. We had the entire upper floor, leaving room for the kids to be entertained and still have space for the adults to get on with eating and chatting.

The staff on the night were brilliant, really friendly and couldn't do enough to help, even when that involved booking taxis for us at 2am! Niall the DJ kept the dance floor hopping until long after he was meant to, and I'm sure we'd still be there now if it was his choice.

We couldn't (and wouldn't want to) criticise anything. The service was impeccably attentive and genuinely friendly. The setting was convenient, romantic and with a hint of Christmas.

Myself and my husband wanted a relaxed Dublin wedding with no stress and that's what we got with the anglers rest. The venue is stunning and exactly what I wanted as we didn't want a typical wedding in a hotel function room. Alison the wedding co ordinator was amazing she handled everything with professionalism noting was a problem. The bar and waiter staff on the day were so friendly and contributed to the relaxed atmosphere we were looking for. The food is the real star of the show absolutely gorgeous all my guests were so impressed many told me it was the best food they have had a a wedding and I agree. I would 100% recommend to any couple looking for an alternative venue that has something special about it.

When planning our wedding, someone suggested we take a look at the Anglers Rest. I'd never been so the first thing we did was eat here - fantastic food and so reasonably priced. We then checked out the wedding venue and fell in love - it's so cosy and intimate.

We had our wedding here in October 2017. Cannot recommend The Anglers enough. Such an amazing venue rain, hail or shine. The setting is perfect. Fab decor & atmosphere from the minute you step inside. The food was absolutely superb. Noeleen was a great help to us with menus, flowers, seating etc.

We had a fantastic experience having our wedding in Anglers Rest in late September 2017. From the very start Noeleen was extremely helpful and relaxed, she made us feel completely at ease booking, arranging times for tastings and deadlines.

I had read great reviews of the Anglers Rest saying the food was excellent and that was a huge deciding factor for myself and my husband. And I can safely say it lived up to its great reputation! We also loved that we could have our ceremony in the venue, as we wanted to make the day as streamlined and relaxed as possible for our guests.

We booked in for dinner before we made our decision and we had such a delicious meal, and even though we were still in Dublin, the location feels like a cozy country pub. The location right beside Phoenix Park was also a factor as we were able to pop to the park after the ceremony to get some gorgeous photos with our photographer.

The room for the reception is stunning and we added some of our personal touches to the venue/reception area (bunting, lanterns, flowers) but it needed very little additional decoration to give it the wow factor.

The ceremony room is lovely and intimate ? with a real fire burning for added coziness - Noeleen even recommended our celebrant, Mary Losty, and we were absolutely delighted with her as well. We organised a piano player for the ceremony and our friend DJ?ed for the reception which was so much fun and there was lots of room for dancing as well as sitting around chatting.

My friend made our wedding cake and she needed to drop it off at the venue the morning of the wedding, and she mentioned how lovely and accommodating the people there were - she has experienced some tricky people when dropping cakes to venues so she really appreciated the friendly flexibility of Anglers Rest staff.

Same with our flowers and decorations - there were no difficulties for us getting to the venue to decorate and the staff were always very kind and helpful.

There were around 85 people for our ceremony/dinner with some additional people joining for drinks afterwards and the venue was a perfect size for this number of people.

The wait and bar staff were all absolutely lovely, everyone raved about the food and the venue and the overall vibe was relaxed, intimate and joyful.

I would highly recommend Anglers Rest as a wedding venue, I wish I could experience the day all over again! Thank you so much Noeleen and all of the Angler's Rest team for giving us such a lovely day with such wonderful memories.

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Angler's Rest in August 2017. Our experience was easy and fun from the moment we met the Wedding Coordinator, Noeleen. We had our event on a Saturday but, despite a busy restaurant operating downstairs, we didn't hear a peep and felt that we had an exclusive venue all to ourselves. The staff were attentive and warm but not overly fussy. We were blessed with glorious weather but I feel that a wet/grey day would've been as romantic because of the ambiance of the place (fireplaces, candles, etc).

Over the past six months we have heard nothing but overwhelmingly positive remarks from our guests (who traveled from Canada, Sweden, England and locally). It was a place where we could be quintessentially ?us?, and make the day our own (rather than host a scripted prototype of a wedding). It was so very special and I can't fault a single thing. Our only regret is how fast the day flew by...

Noeleen and her team at the Anglers Rest go beyond their means to make the day magical for every bride and groom. They are so helpful and flexible. My husband and I really had the best day of our lives and the venue and guests made that possible. The venue speaks for itself - it is absolutely perfect, the food is amazing every time we go there- I can't speak highly enough of this place for any occasion. It is somewhere I will always recommend.

I could not recommend the Anglers Rest enough! We had the most amazing day here for our wedding in April. We sat 85 for dinner and literally everyone was raving about the food all night, i was even getting texts and phone calls afterwards of guests telling me how great the food and venue is.first of all, Noleen looked after us, she is just a little gem. nothing was too much hassle for her. so easy to deal with and so approachable.he really knows her stuff! the food- The anglers is known for its amazing food anyway, We had 4 options for each of the 4 courses, The food was all out quick and perfect, the service is just unbelievable. the room is just fab... its so rustic and classy, nobody could believe how lovely the room is, i didnt need any decor or table center pieces or anything! We had our wedding here on the 29th of December & we had the most amazing day!!! We had our ceremony here too which was perfect as there was no travelling afterwards & everyone could relax. It is a beautiful & intimate venue which we felt added to the relaxing atmosphere that we wanted. Noeleen & all the staff were brilliant, very accommodating & made our day so special. the venue was excellent, the staff couldn't have been friendlier or more accomodating, the food was top notch despite it being really reasonably priced. Im delighted we had our wedding there, many of our guests said it was the best wedding they were ever at and we had a great day.

We had our ceremony and our reception at the Anglers Rest. The ceremony took place in the Michael Collins room. Months before the wedding I was conscious that the restaurant guests downstairs and in the pub might be heard during our ceremony. I was told that this would absolutely not be the case as there was a stair well at the back of the Michael Collins room and they were taking this stairwell out. However on the day, the stairwell was there and during the ceremony, I struggled to hear the celebrant over the noise of the restaurant / pub downstairs. I was really disappointed about this. In hindsight, I would not have had the ceremony at The Anglers Rest. However, the reception was fantastic. The waiters were terrific. I could not fault the reception. The food was lovely. We did not get to have a tasting prior to the wedding as we live in Cork and could only go the The venue at weekend. We were told that they could not give us a tasting menu over weekends. I did think they could have been a bit more accommodating on this. However, the food was excellent on the day. The room for dinner was beautifully decorated. It was a massive benefit to me not to have to worry about flower arrangements or anything like that, the room was really beautiful. We did not have a bar extension as it would have cost an extra ?800, which I thought was outrageously priced. The party finished up by 12:30. Obviously this would not suit everyone, we didn't mind too much but would have been nice to be able to stay another hour. Overall, I would recommend the venue to prospective customers - maybe not for the actual ceremony though (unless they can assure no background noise).

For our wedding we wanted to give our guests who were travelling from across the globe something special and we found that at The Anglers Rest. The smell of the wood burner, the warm friendly and relaxed atmosphere the impeccable food and incredible service made it the perfect choice. Mary and the team at the Anglers Rest looked after our every need leading up to and on the day itself. We live in London so wanted a stress free affair where we had minimal work to do other than name tags and decisions about what great food to put on the menu. The lengths that the team went to in making our day exceeded our expectations. The room was stunning (extra credit to Mary for working from little steer) and all our guests were raving about the quality of the food and the level of customer care. I've never in all the weddings I've been to encountered staff so smiley and genuinely happy to help! Everyone had a great time and we can't wait to go back
